I am not sure why you are talking about killing industries. So far AI hasn't killed any industry and is not poised to (some industries may die out simply because they became obsolete years ago). The similar thing happened many times in art history. When photography appeared, many contemporaries said that it would kill portrait, landscape art etc. This didn't happen. On the contrary, photography significantly improved availability, accesibility and understanding of art. You talk about social trust? Many artists used photography to draw not from the actual view or posing person, but from a photo. Did they cheat art? Many thought so at the time, also thinking that photography undermines value and social trust towards an artist. Nowadays people use photo libraries extensively for their art and nobody thinks less of it

Basically any social mistrust that currently exists is the result of distrust some artists fostered against AI. If they didn't crank up anti AI fever, nobody would go witchhunting and there wouldn't be any social distrust towards the whole industry.

As an example, there are industries where slight mistrust towards AI existed initially, but professionals didn't nonsensically blow up the issue, instead adopting the technology and it serves them pretty well now. I am talking about chess (go and shogi too), mechanical engineering and software development. All of these industries embraced AI and there is little to no social mistrust towards AI users there

What can I say, you reap what you sow

btw, chess as the first industry to get hit by AI, almost got into that witchhunting mode and "chess will die because of AI" mindset. But people with cool heads prevaled and now it's a flourishing industry where AI is a commonly used tool

Sometimes it is really good, for certain dancing styles that go really well with motion capture

Unfortunately, Wanda-san dancing style is like the worst for mocap(subtle muscle movements and fluid motion).

Unfortunately this would never work because of how Anime are funded in Japan. Very few studios are able to majority fund their own projects. Committees who fund the animes are the people who have control everything. Studios are basically just contractors paid a lump sum up front to do the work and often get very little to none of the money the show makes afterwards.

Contractors will actually "bid" lower costs on a project to try to get jobs from their competitors.

Hoyoverse (company behind Genshin) has done two routes: EoS (closing down the servers, with a big event in-game to "conclude" things, like they did with Gun GirlZ), and what they did with Honkai Impact 3rd, where they just started the "sequel" in the same game without removing the previous one.

Alternatively, you have plenty of gachas that are just like "Aight, here's a one month notice, thanks for everything, byeeeee"
