Yw, at the beginning the extra innate level of fortune it gives you is pretty sweet and it doesnt take long to find artifacts/spellstones that many upgrade to better versions that are specific to the seven curses. my biggest recommendation is dont be afraid to just explore. I stumbled upon a tinkers' workshop before i even started building and was able to get most of the early game automated in about 2 days (6ish hours each)

but i play hardcore ring so knockback is very important to me

But if you manage to, get a Soul Drummer and add a muzzle break or a silencer.

The kickback gets reduced majorly and it becomes sustainable to fire.
