hi im wondering why when i give my friends that server link to join after oppening lan they cant join after adding server. I have upnp enabled and have even tried makeing a port forward for the code.

i did also try to use essential mod but steampunk tells me that the mod isint compatible.

You can use create enchant industry to over enchant items one level though

An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:\Users\Username\Documents\Minecraft\Server)

You can now run the server by double-clicking the start.ps1 file, or typing .\start.ps1 into the command line while in the directory.

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS

Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

Hey guys. Anyone else struggeling withr really bad (client sided) chunk loading in multiplayer?
Ryzen 9 3900x and 16GB of Ram should be enough for 3 players.

And im able to see the hitbox of the chunks and can even break blocks but nothing drops.

Kinda seems like a client sided rendering issue. Anyone else seen anything like this?

5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.

8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

Ok, so this happens way too much. I am just running from place to place. I'm not going any faster than that. And yet, when I go a certain distance, the game simply stops loading chunks. On top of that, I am unable to break any blocks, or interact with the world in any meaningful way while this happens. I will sit there for several minutes waiting for the game to catch up, but usually I have to quit the instance and restart for anything to happen. I am NOT on a server, just a single player world

Removing some of the mods that Change the chunk loading helped a tiny But but Not much in Multiplayer...

In Singleplayer however Made a night and das difference.

Its really really fast in Singleplayer

Im pretty certain its a Client sided Rendering issue.
So Server lages, the Client received the chunk since the hitbox and Block Infos are there.

I even got damage from a cactus in an unloaded chunk.

So its 100% Client sided Rendering

Sunken cities have a lot of maps and so do those vanilla drowned structures. I had the same issue finding a vanilla sunken ship for the map as well

love the modpack but the worst aspect of it is when you die in lava, the amulet or vessel would drop all of your stuff in the lava if you try to retrieve your items. really turned me off of the modpack after losing 20 hours worth of gear to a mechanic that was not thought out very well. there's no config to change how the behavior of the amulet works so good luck retrieving your stuff if you die in the nether surrounded by lava

the chemistry with the hot & cold mechanic mixed with how the amulet works isnt really compatible with the idea of just dropping your items when you come within range of the amulet. again, love the modpack but some critisism would be to find a better inventory save system that's more in line with the hot & cold mechanic maybe the grave mod, or some sort of actual mutable inventory rather than dropping everything at a location

hello! I started steampunk yesterday and it runs fine except for one big problem:

• Some chunks just wont load.

when I am out exploring the performance is fine but from time to time I come across chunks that wont load, no matter what.
I can enter the chunks and place stuff, mine stuff but it does not get displayed properly.

you should limit your fps to the max fps your monitor can display. Having too much fps can cause unsmooth experience. Not sure about minecraft but maybe there is a motion blur setting?

Started up a server recently on a remote rig used exclusively (In recent times) for hosting said server. Only a few people, (~5 or so) on concurrently, and it was working just fine for a while. However, we started to notice greatly increased load/render times for new chunks when exploring, to the point where exploration became more of a chore waiting for the chunks to load each time. The server has gotten so laggy, that I'm now bombarded with messages about the server not being able to keep up, and that's only seconds after the server launches. In addition to those messages, there is also the odd one about saving an oversized chunk. I've tried to visit said chunk, but logging into the server is so slow, and I can only manage to walk a few steps before the whole thing crashes, and I'm at a loss of what it may be.

1. I have not modified the pack in any way.
2. I am using CurseForge
3. I am on Minecraft version 1.19.2
4. The modpack version is 21.5
5. Connecting to the server seems to cause it to inevitably crash, but it is lagging even with nobody on.
6. No success yet.
7. Crash report linked but I also clicked the button the bot posted, so I'm not sure if it's still available or not, just @ me if necessary.
