You get to ignore the part where you do less damage!

And kill Bosses even faster!

Hold the Soulspring lamp in your offhand, and it will activate in the Nether when you are too hot. Left- or right-click it while holding Soul Sprouts to refill it.

Waterskins are basically bags of leather that you fill with water - put it in a boiler or an icebox to heat or cool it, respectively.

i've had trouble changing professions of some modded villagers professions

I can't remember if it's in the pack, but if carryon is in the pack you can shift right click the lecturn to pick up and put down so you don't waste dura on your tools

you need to fuel the lamp with special sprouts though. I would prioritize finding those first thing in the nether when you go in. Then get the hell out and start growing them on soul sand. They need something hot nearby like lava, or they can grow without nearby heat in the nether

We still have a lot of Vanilla functions - you can start by playing the game as Vanilla as possible, but your main concern should not only be getting shelter, but also trying to figure out a comfortable space.
