Not impossible. It's through create. Copper and I think iron tossed into a basin with a mixer on top and blaze burner heated from the bottom of the basin

I am having a problem. I am using the most recent SteamPunk ModPack for 3 people total, running on a server from Bisect. It is a 12GB RAM Premier hosted system. I have not modified the ModPack in any way, and am using suggested startup parameters. If 2 or more people are on at the same time, the server is constantly "Can't Keep Up! Is the server overloaded?" And it is ususally around 7-9k ms and 100-200 ticks behind. Render distance is 10, sim distance is 10. Server restarts every night. What am I doing wrong, because while there are a lot of mods in this pack, it is nearly unplayable for us. Really love it so want to find a solution, but I don't know what I am missing...

I cant quite say if It's intended or not but if you turn down hostile Creatures sound in the options it also changes the volume of it

so If you turn hostile creatures all the way off it'll go away however you wont be able to hear creepers and such

If I had to guess, it's probably Sound Physics Remastered

It often misinterprets like...anything...being above you as being a cave

Sorry to reply to a somewhat old comment but this was a question I had myself and I think I found a solution. If you're using the provided shaders there is an option in the shaderpack settings, under 'Other' labelled 'Less fog inside lava or snow' which when enabled appears to fix the issue. Oddly enough, disabling the shaderpack didn't reduce the fog any, but this setting has otherwise allowed me to see in lava just fine.

A lot of people get caught up with the idea of needing every part fully automated all the way, but in reality, every step you save yourself with bootstrapped setups and automation will make it much easier to actually complete projects

So, for XP, my solution is to find a decent dungeon with a good few spawners, collect them with create carts, and then make a mob farm around them

You can make a decent XP farm using Poisand, Mechanical Fans, and Deployers set into attack mode

Ive been playing the steampunk modpack for a little bit now and im having trouble collecting all the eyes for the end portal. Specifically the one you need a witch pupil for, the one dropped by evokers, the one found in jungle temples, and the one found in igloos. • Consider installing the JRE instead of the JDK for a smaller file size

2. When installing through adoptium, make sure that Add to PATH and Set JAVA_HOME variable are both set to be installed (please see https://imgur.com/a/jPu1h7h for how that would look)

3. Check if java has been correctly installed by running java --version (or java -version on older versions), and seeing if the output is correct (see https://imgur.com/a/OWcoq4p for an example of the output)

• NOTE: 64 bit versions of java ALWAYS have '64-bit Server VM' in the version output. If that is not there, you have installed a 32-BIT version!! If you're getting Out of Memory errors or any other errors, PLEASE install 64-bit

4. If the output isn't as intended, you have 2 options.
   i) Delete ALL other java versions from your PC (ONLY recommended if you don't need them)
   ii) Redirect your launcher/server to use your new installation of Java

1. Uninstall any other java program listed in your programs list (differs by OS, please find a guide for your own OS if you don't know)
2. Attempt to re-use the command mentioned above (if the output is now correct, which it should be, you are ready to go)

Method ii

1. For a server, please modify the $Java/JAVA variable (found in your startup script depending on ps1/sh) to the path of your java installation. For windows, this path is usually found in "Program Files/Eclipse Adoptium/version_of_java/bin"
2. For a client, depending on whether you use CurseForge, GD, or AT, the process is slightly different. Please see a guide for each respective launcher on how to change the java version.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

On advice of LPS, I followed the performance guidance (as much as Bisect will allow) and am still expericing tons of "Cannot Keep up" with just 2 players. so i finaly know how to kill the dragon idk if its a bug but i can only damage him with the crystals but of course the crystals does almost no damage. Also i get random wither damage no idea why but im not done, the dragon literally never shoot me unless im building up or if im on a bridge in the air finaly theres blazes, they will spawn out of no where and shoot you but since i am close to a crystal waiting for the dragon the blaze will of course shoot the crystal, it blows up, you take damage and you fall all the way back down. anyway this is the longest boss fight ever and the most boring one ive ever seen

It's probably a shader that allows light sources held to emit light and I guess that is causing the drops in frame rate.

Try disabling the shader.

I don't think there is an option. You simply have to be in the same party and you get the shared quests.

I found some configs you might have to mess around with though.
For my single player world its in Instances > SteamPunk > Config > ftbquests > quests > data

There is a line called "default_reward_team: false" and might be turned to true to make things work.

Again, can't fact check since I'm playing solo.

Then it's probably a mod causing the light to be emitted and is probably the source for your lags. I watched through the modlist quickly and couldn't find any mods that I am familiar with that do this.

So maybe you look through the mod list yourself and see if you want to remove the mod that, you think, causes this, temporarily.

I'm honestly not feeling like searching through 300 mods to suggest something else so I'll leave that bit to you lol

The Ancient Factory is in the overworld. Craft the item "Eye of Mech" it works similar to an Ender Eye and point towards the Ancient Factory.

This structure is underground so you will need to do some digging.

hey, im not sure if there is a better place to ask this question but i havent seen one if so. Im trying to setup a server using steampunk for me and some friends on a linux machine, but whenever i try to run the start script to open the server, it gives an error "Could not find or load main class @user_jvm_args.txt". As far as we can tell, the java version should be correct and the file user_jvm_args.txt exists in the directory, the directory also has all required permissions yet the server throws that same error everytime and instantly closes. I can get screen shots if needed. any help would be appreciated

spark will record all the things causing chaos usually and will let us know a bunch of information that could help pinpoint the issue

I don't know, what I remember is I was looting a dungeon in the overworld in a cave and went to break a pot, the pots loot pool was like emeralds, diamonds, and a diamond helmet, and I broke a stair or slab underneath and the pot started falling, like sand, and my world crashed and wont open again

1. Have you modified the modpack in any way? If so, what did you do? (Updating/adding/removing mods, changing configs)
2. What launcher, or program, are you using to launch the game? (CurseForge, ATLauncher, etc)

4. What version of the modpack are you playing? (v11, v9, etc)
5. What steps are necessary to reproduce the crash? (Launching the game, exploring the world, etc)
6. Have you ever gotten past the point where the crash happens?
7. Send the crash report file into this channel. Right click the modpack, Open Folder, and navigate to the Crash Reports folder. Drag the newest one here. If there is no crash reports folder, do the same thing with the latest.log file in the logs folder.
8. Did you follow the Performance guide linked in #faq?
