Out of curiosity, why is the faster random mod not included in modpacks by default? The other mods make sense like methane requires full bright but after doing some reading it seems like there's no drawbacks to faster random.

for several months we told people to use Adoptium

because its pretty fast and very easy to install

graalvm is impossible to install if the user is tech illiterate

which a lot of our users are

i had previously not researched much into how good graalvm is either

and faster random was in alpha for a long time

so all of this combined, we never looked much into either

but now we know both graalvm and faster random, alone or together, give massive performance improvements

but we cant just drop faster random into the modpacks

because its incompatible with adoptium distributions of java

so we'd have a ton of previous users coming here w/ broken installs

so basically we just need a mod made that prevents the faster random mod from being loaded if the user has an adoptium build of java

that project isnt going too well rn as everyone i've contacted is busy lol

to my knowledge dragons dens don't have locations which are better at finding dens due to spawn rates. Assuming your talking abt stage 5's, look up a quick yt tutorial, I remember watching one and it was very helpful. It's easy to spot them in oceans. If you want a specific type of dragon, look it up on the ice and fire wiki.

The minimap at specific mining levels is also very powerful

its super complicated and in the end you dont even get an installer

Edit: Fixed by manually installing java 17 from graavlm's website. But that also means that people using the script for this modpack on 1.19.2 can't use graavlm 17.

Irreleveant to my above issue/questions: wdym by raw files (Yes, I'm probably tech illiterate lol)? I followed a manual installation from the github link you posted in your performance guide because I was curios after using your script and it took 2 minutes without any issues. So what are the benefits of (I'm assuming because it looks much harder + location of the exe file) the script installing graavlm system wide? Yes it allows for auto detection but it took me an extra 15 seconds to manually locate the javaw.exe program and input it into prism. Or is it just so it's super easy to install? Also even after using your script I noticed multimc doesn't auto-detect graavlm, incase you wanted to mention that in the guide.

An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:\Users\Username\Documents\Minecraft\Server)

You can now run the server by double-clicking the start.ps1 file, or typing .\start.ps1 into the command line while in the directory.

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS
Run the command Unblock-File -Path .\start.ps1 in the same powershell window. This will allow the start script to not be blocked by windows, and run freely.

you're gonna want some sort of specialization, you will want a good weapon with void strike enchant, and you will want titan's shroud with at least Prot V on all of it. Having radiance on your weapon will help out as well and getting the fist of fury from archon mod is goated

yeah the conflict for that one was goblin traders - I have a workaround I can probably do for next update but not possible at the moment

an enchantment library might be useful here, once you get one unbreaking 4 or 5 book, you can get more easily

so im trying to replace my keybinds in a new but identical modpack with the keybinds in the old modpack, i copied over the options.txt file in both the main folder and the /yosbr folder. theres also a configureddefaults folder which contains another options.txt, replacing that had no effect as well. any advice?
