An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:\Users\Username\Documents\Minecraft\Server)

You can now run the server by double-clicking the start.ps1 file, or typing .\start.ps1 into the command line while in the directory.

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS

Also, for all interested, I made a mistake with starforge build in build guide and will rectify that now. I was going for a walk this morning and doing calculations in my head on it. Realized I could've messed up on the specific armor you would wear. Now that I have fully tested, the armor you wear is actually the Aetherfire Inquisitor Armor as that should give you the best stats. Once fully enchanted of course. Hat will be the Mageseeker Hat for the crit chance and crit damage. Can't enchant hat with spell stuff, but you still come out on top with the Aetherfire by 10 points lol.

will check one more thing, pretty sure it will be aetherfire though

It has this weird mechanic where dealing enough damage will just completely ignore all armor, but then below that amount it starts to scale really aggressively. So a 10 damage attack could be reduced all the way to 2 damage, but a 100 damage attack deals 100 against the same amount of armor

Would much rather have an equal % reduction that scales with armor regardless of the strength of the hit

I guess maybe the idea in vanilla is to make fully maxed out gear impervious to weak hits while maxed weapons still deal damage, even though the maxed weapons aren’t actually that much stronger because then that would make mobs too easy

but I don’t like it

Yeah this is just very arbitrary to everything in modded, I don't like it either, which is why for my Boss configs, I don't really have much change to armor since if put too much it reduces too much, and too less it gets completely ignored

well ranged damage is sort of bypassing the current armor reduction due to a maybe-bug with projectile damage

that's kind of separate

ranged "should" be doing a lot less, but realistically ranged feels pretty good and melee has a very annoying damage curve right now

you deal no damage to anything until suddenly you one shot everything

tons of armor toughness+less armor fixes that problem entirely

Balanced blades deal more damage the more consecutive attacks you deal with them. All the way until they reach +10 damage. Your overall damage is a bit low and I suggest twilight forest after nether as balanced blades aren't really that strong for this stage of the game which is basically upper mid-game

Balanced blades not ideal for hydra because you aren't consistently attacking it as well

for bard, it's more of a support so really best in servers but not bad singleplayer for all the buffs it can give once you actually get all the horns, tbh you can really go with whatever playstyle you want. I'm working on that build guide more today as well because I haven't written all the builds yet because there are a heck of a lot of things possible in this modpack now

Monk is completed in the build guide! This is a fun playstyle and personal favorite of mine! Priest, Paladin, and Apostle will be written soon! Those are all the holy magic builds! Paladin origin is best tank right now and S tier, will be changed to that in origin tier list soon! Blazeborn and the rpgorigins Knight (the one that deals 10% more damage no matter what) are also S tier as they can freely go up to Burning Spirit 10 without actually burning! Blazeborn gets str effect and the Knight has the extra damage so that's pretty nice for them!

Neither, the reason you add fur to armors is so you won't get too cold in winter. That is what insulated means. However, I find that I don't get cold regardless as long as I don't let my armor break/don't let my skin touch the cold. Adding fur to armors is also bad for the nether.

if armor is upgradable like diamond one u can reforge it to unqiue than upgrade to netherite and it will loss it
