1. Download an adoptium release for Java (recommended but not required):

• NOTE: 64 bit versions of java ALWAYS have '64-bit Server VM' in the version output. If that is not there, you have installed a 32-BIT version!! If you're getting Out of Memory errors or any other errors, PLEASE install 64-bit

4. If the output isn't as intended, you have 2 options.
   i) Delete ALL other java versions from your PC (ONLY recommended if you don't need them)
   ii) Redirect your launcher/server to use your new installation of Java

Method i

1. Uninstall any other java program listed in your programs list (differs by OS, please find a guide for your own OS if you don't know)
2. Attempt to re-use the command mentioned above (if the output is now correct, which it should be, you are ready to go)

Method ii

1. For a server, please modify the $Java/JAVA variable (found in your startup script depending on ps1/sh) to the path of your java installation. For windows, this path is usually found in "Program Files/Eclipse Adoptium/version_of_java/bin"
2. For a client, depending on whether you use CurseForge, GD, or AT, the process is slightly different. Please see a guide for each respective launcher on how to change the java version.

Specifically, you have to do damage with magic

So Wizard magic, Spellblade magic, Paladin magic

There are other sources in the game that count as magic, but those are few and far in between

Doing more damage increases your chance of the invasion happening

If you just want to cheat back into the dimension, you can use an item called "Debug Item" from Spellblades and Such that spawns a portal after a few uses

The magic damage on spellblades scale off of magic modifiers, but don't care about your attribute. I would honestly just wear as much gear that increases flat attack damage as possible, and attack speed if you're using a claymore

I believe the guide for Spellblades was from when they did magic damage based on your attribute, they no longer behave that way and simple act as melee weapons that always do 50% of their damage as extra magic damage

This basically means they have 150% effectiveness from attack damage, so attack damage is very good

Yeah, definitely want muon's data pack as it makes it to where you don't have to choose between flat attack damage and crit on relics because the last datapack he made gave both crit and attack on str. So while not achieving as much crit as before, you could still achieve quite a bit but you would be overall stronger than before due to having a much higher flat attack. So %str relics would end up being ideal, assuming his datapack doesn't change (which imo it shouldn't as it would help streamline hybrid builds, builds in general, and help with everyone complaining about armor on mobs). Even pure melee warriors would end up building %str on relics. There would still be enough differences in stats and how you play the game to differentiate builds though which is also good.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for a question like this, but Medieval is the only pack I have this issue with. Anyone got any tips to help with fps stuttering every 10-30 seconds? I cant seem to go that long without my game stuttering for a couple seconds and it gets me killed far more often than i care to admit haha

depends on your other relics but generally you want 1 relic with lifesteal, some crit chance if you need it and definitly a ton of crit damage

attack speed is also great for melee

and ideal is something that would never roll

like 270% magic crit damage, 50% life steal, 50% arcane, 30% crit chance, 1.5 attack speed

like getting all of those on one piece would be impossible, or well close to

getting anything with 2 relevant stats of decent quality is hard enough haha

but crit damage for whatever class you're running is pretty much always a good idea

and ofc lifesteal if you don't have it anywhere else, like you want 1 lifesteal relic and the % doesn't matter too much when you get to the lategame since you deal so much damage per hit so having multiple relics with lifesteal is usually just a waste of time

yes, that would be dungeon difficulty. +1 max health, typically not found on something from tieredz, no negative modifiers (common tier from tieredz will always have negative modifiers unless something were to override that, aka dungeon difficulty), 9.5 armor, diamond doesn't have that much armor, 0.5 magic protection, diamond doesn't have that and you can't get that on tieredz, so yes this is most certainly dungeon difficulty

The two-handed ones are pretty good for burst damage as they swing slow but hit high. Unfortunately, the diamond sword is technically still going to be the best in dps due to being able to turn it into the soul alloy sword. Most of the one-handed weapons are not scaled as high as diamond, the one that is scaled higher I believe is the Sun's Grace mace but that one swings slower. The best weapon without going through the whole soul alloy grind is the Soul Fist.

I have a server set to normal difficulty, and we're in the 5000 block radius from spawn, but now zombies spawn with 44 armor, and mobs have way more health/armor in other dimensions to the point where it doesn't seem balance even with very good gear/armor

1. why does a 24 dmg melee weapon do about 30 damage to mobs, but any of the 50 random bows that has ~18 projectile dmg i pick up do like 60+ when im fully specced for melee? (checked for any range bonuses on relics etc... have none)
2. do drops (or chest loot) get better further from spawn too, or just difficulty/xp?
3. there is an enchantment for higher crit chance without jumping, but jump critting doesn't seem to be a thing. is it?

You’re right that jump critting doesn’t work and I don’t think that enchant does either. Not sure if it can be disabled

Chest loot only improves by location in the overworld. But the biggest difference will be by dimension anyway

Netherite is also kinda overrated in this pack, go for Mythril or something.. you can mine it in the overworld.. and has better base stats (minus the knockback resistance)

It should, iirc kota converts each item dropped to 25 xp (this was apotheosis though) but it's just a flat amount per item it converts to xp

affixing relics is basically putting the relics stats onto the equipment of choice, so you can have both stats at once. you can affix them to head and chest (its good because the relics will then never degrade). you do it in a smithing table like you would any other smithing recipe

Yup. If you claim an area with FTBChunks it will be immune to explosions. You can also use the vanilla /gamerule mobGriefing false to disable explosions everywhere

it randomly selects some enchants on the weapon and it costs some xp to turn those into an enchanted book using an anvil

this breaks the item you use it on though

and if it doesn't give you the enchants you want you can always do something that changes your enchant seed (like enchanting something)

But if you're just looking to extract all enchants from something you can use a grindstone and put a book in the bottom slot

this will give you all the enchants

But it also breaks the item

The grindstone method usually costs more xp so there's a bit of a tradeoff
