Hey another question, one of the people on our server says they have stopped getting xp from mobs like skeletons, is there a config option or a player setting that may have been messed up? Other players on the server seem to be fine.
it's that way on purpose. Chunk Negation XP factor. The more xp you gain in a single chunk, the less of a chance xp has to spawn. This was made to nerf farms and to encourage exploration. There are still viable ways of attaining xp but you have to explore and not be in one place all the time. Pins for xp gain setup guide.
Chunks do regen over time, although the more xp you gain the longer it will take. Charm of Knowledge II completely breaks chunks so they won't regen, as explained in the xp guide.
I wanted to ask if anyone knows what "Rune Armor" actually does? I know that it gives a bit of spell damage increase, but it also seems like when you wear it you get absorption? does anyone know how this works? I couldn't find a wiki online or anything for that mod or item
2 absorption hearts per piece. They come back after a short-ish time after they are depleted. They give spell damage.

the mod spellblades and such did update to nerf bonus rolls on luck for that mod, the bonus rolls on luck for wizard robes should already be nerfed. Modpack latest version v20.5 should be what you are playing on

as far as armor goes for melee though, might as well just craft it all. Because diamond is perfectly fine until you get to the Nether for Titan's Shroud in which you also should craft

it is optional because it adds only a little bit of flat damage, some will add it and some won't

it's nice to have, but I just listed the most damaging ones which should take priority over fire aspect

I mean, as nice as that is, you'll probably be using xp a lot more before now and end-game, which is why I only prepare for that enchant when I no longer have a need for xp levels

no, basically you need to move to the side when it does the slam attack and then climb the boxes/structures to hit it. To avoid the lasers, just crouch behind the left stack of boxes, you can make some micro-movements here and there if you need to. It's best to have some decent playerex levels at least when facing this boss along with some good enchants. I would say berserker's fury and shockwave would be very important along with the protection enchants mentioned in the guide.
I did kill him once already, was just wondering if there is some bit easier way of killing his as only melee XD

not right now, you would have to update the mod spellblades and such to do that
however, affixing a relic can only be done once and can't be undone or overwritten so be very careful with your choice

Nope, luck stat can help a little bit but not a whole lot.

don't need to do this for weapons though because dungeon difficulty loot is not affected by tieredz and does not get changed by tieredz

you need a mythril pickaxe and a durasteel engine in a smithing table

unbreaking reduces the chance for durability to actually go down every time it should go down

Take an observer out of it, add a repeater with a 4 tick delay, and then attach it to a dispenser full of flint and steel pointing into it. To automate so you don't have to light every time

Having Mob difficulty issues on a private server through CurseForge. Playing with 3 other friends, and level 1 mobs are spawning with 80-140 hp and between 10-50 armor. Normally see this in/near dungeon areas, in the Overworld (near dungeons/in them only) and Nether (All over the nether) We haven't checked other locations, because we haven't gotten that far yet due to this issue. We tried to mess with some things in RPG Difficulty config thinking that was the issue, but this remained the same upon launching again. Spending 5 minutes swiping a single normal mob in a corner with decent midlevel and enchanted gear really isn't fun nor conductive to progress. We can only assume it's the Dungeon Difficulty mod based on what we saw, but again that is only a assumption, and the config for that is... as difficult as it is to mindlessly swipe for 3-5 minutes on a mob. On a side note, we haven't seen even a single mob past level 1 for whatever reason that might be, but their HP and armor is for sure not what you would expect from level 1 mobs. Also a side note, we haven't traveled far from spawn at all, less then 1.5k blocks (assuming 5k was the max), and outside of the dungeons the mobs have normal hp, except in the nether where everything is rocking 80-90 hp and 40-50+ armor. Is this normal or is something messed up?
is there any tips for conjuctivius? for crossbow enchant, i was with crescendo of bolts v and void shot, and was really slow

they're meant for when you have a decent build already
good crit damage/crit chance, whether from relics or skill points
I would suggest have 1 aoe spell blade weapon just for the tentacle phase

Looking at RPG config, I understand that beyond 3k isn't really beneficial for loot on Dungeon Difficulty, but for mob exp in RPG it looks like it caps at 5x with mobs scaling up every 5000 blocks. Kind of makes me think that 25k-30k coordinates would be good for a base? Or with the exp chunk cap/cooldown we should just build based on aesthetic/structures?
Also do structure spawns for dungeons arise and other mods increase as you go further out? We can find nothing within 5k blocks of spawn really but seeing quite a few things at 20k

so you can do chest>vanilla hopper>Tom’s hopper instead and that’ll work
they can pull from hoppers, but not chests
they can push to anything with no filter

Thanks, any suggestions on a sweet spot distance to have good chance of finding structures? I notice a lot more at say 20k from center but do they continuously get more frequent the deeper you go out, or not worth? Want to have a central base for my gf and I with a good chance to find a lot of content within say 10k radius around that central base. I don't think we have a structure compass on this pack so we want a good starting point. Easily killing all content in cells and at 20k overworld at this point.
Lighthouses will have maps to larger structures, but no once you get past the minimum radius they’re distributed evenly

Aye, we've had our server lose about 5 total mythic mounts that were all tamed/tethered to a fence or commanded to sit. Sometimes after the daily automated restart just log in and one will no longer be there

ok , generally the mobs don't display anymore what lvl they are, they are visually stuck at lvl 1. I do from time to time see a mob that has more or less HP and hits harder depending on how far I've gotten. Does that mean it works ok ish at least and it's just visual ? ( I corected my message sry)

yeah the mob difficulty is about where it should be, it's just the nameplates that are weird

if you overkill a mob, the damage applies to other nearby mobs. caps at like 12 enemies or something
with sweeping edge going up to 5 in this it's not super useful
and it's incompatible with the best damage enchants too
i keep forgetting to do the other thing i mentioned

sure, rpgdifficulty enables the unused vanilla feature of "leader zombies," but it has a conflict with dungeon difficulty where the hp gets multiplied multiple times
in config/rpgdifficulty.json just set allowSpecialZombie to false
faster to just check than wait for us to type it out one by one

there are slightly different unique ones but you dont really need those one’s explicitly, any unique is more than enough

it's a little more complex idea... but what if each dimension had a material that when reforged with it, it gives a specific quality of that reforge:
Overworld : Common , Uncommon (Lapis or Emmerald)
Nether : Uncommon (Quartz)
Twillight Forest : Rare (One of it's rare ores)
End : Legendary (One of it's rare ores) etc

I may well do a CTM on the top, so it's very subtle if you have 1 or 2 blocks.. but you get big patches of snow if you have a 3x3 or 4x4

hello, may i ask is there any use of mana? i know that we have wizard mod and all spells use runes instead of mana, Is archon mod no longer relevant?
archon is still very useful for a few of its spells
heaven's dial, propel, and shadow are all great
damage wise it's probably decent if you have a lot of spell crit damage
but i think it's a bit weird in that it's probably based off of ranged damage but spell critical damage
i guess that would mean spamming dex would be very strong for archon magic right now though

but the base damage is still based off of projectile damage and not spell power

unbreaking gives a chance for durability not to be used, but that's per each time durability would be used so of course vein mining is still going to wreck it even with unbreaking III
non of the blocks breaking is not consuming
either way, you need mending/life-mending for vein mining
