the max for leveling is usually 50 because you don't get any more crit chance after 50 points. For magic though, I use 40 because of the Spell Volatility enchant adding a flat 10% increase for crit chance which hits my personal minimum of having 70% crit chance when I have 40 point in luckiness. This frees up points to put in other areas, specifically I'm doing Arcane build so I can put more points in Arcane magic school in magic tab for example.

i found a way to fix the enchanting libraries, if you have an enchant that crashes you just extract the book one by one to level it and as soon as you click the book (make sure you havent put an item in the filter) then it should disappear, repeat this until you are left with the lowest level then simple click it and click the empty square where the book is supposed to be. I believe the bug is caused by adding books too fast to the enchanting library

a fun fact for this is that the new hat, helm, and crown from spellblades mod can be very useful in adding to this but just a little bit. One of the hats gives 40% crit damage and 8% crit chance for example. So some fun builds are sure to happen. They work well to help the hybrid armors as well since all those offer is +20% spellpower each for two schools and there's only chest, legs, and boots. The new hat, crown, and helm don't have spellpower and are not tied to any school.

What's hard to understand about going from an iron sword to having several weapons that do 11-13 damage, cause bleeding and have decent enchants within about an hour of first trying out the modpack because I found a portal to the Prison Dimension and the chests in there are stacked and the mobs are easy.

It's something called dungeon difficulty mod. It makes loot go higher tier in areas. Mobs will essentially almost always be easy because it is minecraft and this isn't meant to be a hard modpack.

It's like a 73% chance to negate all damage and you have to get hit first because it needs a way of knowing you are being attacked

good luck finding the full set though, and it isn't craftable
