no, because it is not really ideal to get metallurgium, although if you want to create that then I suppose you can, just make sure you make your diamond armor unique before upgrading. You can disenchant items onto a book so you can keep transferring enchants.

and if you aren't heating up, then thirst only goes down like normal and not extra fast
