personally, I like the robes over the spellblade armor from obsidilith because the value in damage on the robes, for arcane specifically, is pretty awesome
Also, this little hot air balloon has awesome loot! Two heart of the seas and the black eye! I also found the jungle blimp before this, can confirm, very goated loot still!

You can get looting 5 and effeciency 10 from trading with wandering traders (they can be spawned with a wabbajack, be careful though this thing can spawn some other bad stuff too). You get protection 8 leather stuff from zombies in a giant multi-mushroom tower structure. You get protection 10 leather gear from skeletons that ride giant phantoms; they spawn in a colosseum. You can use biome make over to push some other enchantments over the edge like bag of souls and soul devouring
I heard bewitchment can lead to some over enchanting, but I'm not too familair with that mod

Melee imo should build luck, dex, with str later on. Health not needed as gear covers that and enchants protect you.

as far as dex goes, it is complicated as you swing slow in the beginning so you want dex but then you find weapons that have more attack speed due to dungeon difficulty and they follow the same tier. So like -2.4 in the beginning, then 3K+ blocks away and in minecells you find swords and such with -2 attack speed so that's a small boost, then in Nether and maybe Twilight I think you can find -1.5 as well as in End Cities and then Obsidilith weapons have only -1 attack speed along with putting haste gems when you upgrade the diamond swords to soul alloy. So ideally you can keep using orbs of greater regret when you need less dex and then your final stat pool should probably only have 15 dex at the end of the game with 50 luck and all your other points into str.

I did my homework and found something more useful and practical than the enchanted ice pack in the nether and you can do the same thing for the heat you make a potion charm like that:
well you add mending and unbreaking and you are insensitive to heat or cold ^^ I don't know if it's possible to make them unbreakable with the hardening catalyste but... it's hard to break and it can be anywhere in the inventory

yeah, imo there's no need for a shield, at least right now, I did play All of Fabric 6 and there was a dungeon in which you needed a shield, but there was also no deflect III and no evasion chance because no playerex
