so the v19 changed textures because of load order, then fixed order in v19.5 but people still have issues, I think the reason is because wasn't there a mod that kept your options.txt when updating? Which would also explain why mine works because I deleted options.txt in v19 to fix so of course it carried over.

depends on skill level really, I once took out the returning knight while playing archer, only diamond swords (non-enchanted), melee only, only had archer's armor and prot IV on all of it. You would die in two hits with that. Arcanus wand was a thing at the time so I had to learn to switch to it and use lunge and then switch back and such. Learning actual dodging mechanics. So minimum gear is really a skill thing because I had super low tier stuff but was still able to do it. So, it's impossible to make a minimum without people getting super upset and accusing me of "pure get-good" mentality. I'd rather just teach and guide while leaving gear up to them. Optimal gear list made because there was always so many requests for it because everyone would and still asks "what's the best insert gear here?"

Frost Orb is nice, very good AoE. Fire Orb would be on same level of Frost except Fire Orb AoE spells lag right now. Arcane Orb is nice in certain situations.

If specializing do the magic school you wish, if not then use intelligence. Level 200 btw. I do a bit of hybrid of Arcane and Frost with Arcane having more points. Luck of course is also important, but might be able to get away with 30 luckiness instead of 50 (maybe, have to retest due to changes) because of Spell Volatility V enchant.

to be specific what is the special effect since I assume its not just the attack speed and damage
it is due to the attack speed and the damage as that stacks, meaning with the full set, you get +15% attack speed and +30% attack damage (that applies to everything). The bonus is cool as well. MC Dungeons Armors mod has a wiki that explains all bonuses.

Titan's Shroud has been the goat for a very long time and then changed once relicex had their tiny change. This was also the change that caused wizard robes stats to not show. Dev fixed it so now we get custom stats on all armors for the mods that add them.
And you can smith relicex relics into any armors now, found or crafted so that is a plus!

Definitely, if it’s well made
There's 3 different schools. Arcane, Frost, and Fire. Fire can be pretty decent because the robes give crit chance but there's important things that are immune to fire so you'll have to have an alternate way of killing them if being a fire mage. There's Frost and they get spell haste on their robes so ideal for casting. Frost Orb is good AoE and of course staves are powerful in all schools including this one. Then there's Arcane which is very strong damage as robes give crit damage. Mainly single target focused school but has some spells that are pseudo AoE. Then there's an elementalist/hybrid. Intelligence gives raw spellpower so that is best if using all 3. Wizardex (magic tab) allows you to specialize. Right now I do a complex build of Arcane and Frost with Arcane having more points. Primordial Robes are good AoE due to their ability so ideal for mobbing. Then of course there are spellblades. Spellblade builds consist of using Overdrive to overwhelm foes as it casts on hit (while you are hitting mob/boss) and increases your attack speed. So for spellblades I bind it with the first and last spell, at least for Arcane.
And this is a tiny bit more than scratching the surface but not exactly a goated guide yet like my optimal gear one ^

it is relatively easy to make custom origins and custom quests
custom quests are very easy
its like when i DMed for about 8 years. you hope the group is good
custom origins require a bit of effort

thats why i chose it tbh. I hopped pack to pack doing this stylized roleplay in MC but this pack is quite perfect for it in every way.

The DnD style leveling system thanks to playerex and now wizardex is too good. Combined with random relics to improve those stats, insane honestly. Never thought minecraft would get this cool. I'm not kidding when I told my DnD friends that I haven't been this excited about Minecraft since 1.7
Nah what i really loved was the impersonate command so i can become each NPC in the story and when combined with fabric essentialcommands i can nickname myself too.
whoever works on the pack should honestly look into making video games bc they know how people think.

no, we have 4 origins mods. Origins, Medieval Origins, Icarus, and RPGOrigins
at least the origins aren't way overtuned or have like, 500 word descriptions like another pack 
Icarus only adds one origin of course which is Icarae. RPGOrigins add I think 5-6 or so. Main bulk is in Origins and Medieval Origins.
You'll see, a bit later on though.

And all of these are considered to be Origins and not classes, for the sake of how Minecraft works. Now, I do agree that Dwarf burning in sunlight is weird, I sorta kinda get the mod dev's excuse for that both via lore and balance from a vanilla standpoint, but yeah.
Personally, Dwarves should just be slower and exhaust quicker imo. I think that would be better than burning in sunlight as it is a con for balance and makes sense for the classic dwarf from pretty much all fantasy worlds.

I think it would make more sense to allow to pick a class and a race, and would be more in line with rpg/medieval elements, but its not my pack so not really my choice at the end of the day, I just know I picked human because the single choice was too restrictive
human is what i went with at first. Seems to be the least negative race. Or atleast weirdly enough most of the origins there negative out weighs there positive.

Plague Victim is not underrated. It's the lowest tier for good reason. Very challenging.

I'm not sure. I know you can just set the temperature thresholds to the extreme in the config that way you don't get hot or cold because the temperature for that to happen never gets met

yeah, archer can hit very hard. Last time I played Archer (without conquest trade) I could get around 4K to 5K on crits and void pretty often. I would also often crit and void. 2K+ without void.

the common way people see probability is this.
If something has a 50% chance to happen, that means it will always happen every other time. But it's actually each instance of these events that has a 50% chance of it happening or not happening. So that means things with lower chances like 25%, are much less likely to trigger the desired effect.

no, when you take damage, you will heal some allies if they are close enough to you

When drinking an Instant Health potion, you receive another potion from a pool of options, that right there is all you need to know. This of course wouldn't include other mods because mods aren't made with other mods in mind. So, it can easily be assumed, and you would be correct, that the pool of options is vanilla only

i updated my modpack and now it doesnt work it just crashes 
Uh you can but in an effort to not list half the biomes I am just gonna say I checked all the plains, forest, ocean, and desert archetypes in a large radius of my world spawn, and also under the mushroom fields i currently homebase on. Eventually I found some verglas and moonstone under a deep ocean, and then jungle, and now plains biome around 10k blocks from spawn

I've been trying toms, i don't fully understand it, which is hilarious because i've built full on quantum setups on applied energistics
the thing that really got me with toms is how to use the inventory connectors right
Yeah Toms is much much more basic than AE
its a little non-intuitive
It has a hopper and, as of the latest versions, filters, but that's about it
the only thing i managed to do with it is use pipes up to a level 4 beacon for all access, but i can't understand anything else
