Candles add like 1.25 arcana. It’s something

you can do the max enchanting zenith setup, but by then you will only be fighting probably about 3 more bosses and you also can spend more levels getting what you want with bad rng

Yeah, the one from pinned you don't get bad rolls either (except for incompatible stuff) so let's say I get void strike IV right, that's pog, but I also get soul siphon IV, not pog as that is incompatible with soul devourer. Now I have to disenchant the weapon, enchant an equivalent weapon with soul devourer III, then put the book on that weapon

And that can happen with any "max setup" on enchant table, among other examples just different incompatible enchants. So yeah, I don't do it, because tedious.

Yeah, sight shelves only show so much, plus you can't reroll the enchant table so you have to use a book and enchant cheapest enchant to reroll like normal, still tedious, like there's nothing you can tell me that I don't know when it comes to doing enchanting that would change my mind on how tedious this process can be sometimes. I just prefer to grind less by getting villager trades that stay for life. I can live without radiance IV and void strike IV, especially since I now prefer spell blades and in spellblade build, we don't even get those enchants but are still just as powerful.

wizard robes aren’t supposed to give armor, but they are supposed to give some damage boosts which is part of your issue. That will most likely be fixed in the next modpack update. But I would also just make sure you get the spell volatility+amplify spell enchantments on each robe piece, spell power enchantment on your staff, and get all of the spells on your staff in the spell binding table.

Also level intelligence and luckiness and be on the lookout for stronger staves as loot in the nether and the end

It will take from healing whatever it needs. So like, if I eat food to regen, some if not all of the regen will instead go towards healing the weapon. Sounds bad on paper, but works very well in practice.

Ah, I regret to inform you that mage is an origin and doesn't work like a traditional class. Most of the origins don't really. There's not anything mage can do that other classes can't do really. The only thing you have naturally that is remotely magical is your main active ability. The Fireball. If you want to cast powerful spells, get into the Wizards mod. There are quests for that. Tutorial quests help understand the game overall. Pins here in the discord have more detailed info and min-maxing type stuff. There's also an origin tier list that I wrote and update periodically. So you can still be powerful and viable, but there's nothing crazy special about the mage as a whole. You can read the origin tier list mage section for all the info on mage. If you press "O" and scroll down, then you can read all the perks of your origin in-game.

I think i already know the answer to this but im hoping im wrong. I used my origin reroll token to change to dwarf. I hate it and want to reroll again. The whole not being able to swim and combustion in daylight when you dont have a golden helmet is not doing it for me. Tomes of Scrapping, Cobwebs (disenchanting), Prismarine cobwebs (Curse Removal) do not work, read grindstone quest for best disenchanting (and only working disenchanting) method.
Also note that this likely will not be fixed as Zenith which these features are from aren't likely to be fixed as it has no developer for the fabric port currently (2/26/2023)

@simple smelt very nice balance changes for the latest version! I have now found that the most consistent method for me will probably be Primordial Robes with dual wielding Frosted Spellblade and Arcane Spellblade. I tested many combos and found this to be the most consistent. Soulfrost V and Sunfire V of course along with the other enchants. The other method that I can use to match this (but can get unlucky on the crits) is full Runegleaming Armor with dual wielding Frosted Spellblade and Arcane Spellblade until I hit Overdrive III on both and then switch to full dual wielding Arcane Spellblades. The switch has to be timed well though and can still get a little unlucky on crits, which can happen on both but I feel it more when I go full Runegleaming Armor with Sunfire V and Soulfrost V along with the other enchants of course. Tested this with Brute but would work the same for all origins. Tri-blade Tryhard is still possible with Broken Watch (increases effect duration by 50%) but it's very tricky to maintain as each Overdrive effect lasts 7.5 seconds. The balance changes are very good imo!
