check the numbers of each ability, each intelligence point is .25 spell power and those act like percentages. so if you have 5 spell power from stats and gear and a weapon says “.8 arcane damage,” it’ll deal 4 magic damage per cast

I just know there was a conflict from quite some time ago where it didn't work. Good to know it is fixed. But, I personally have died in scary places and could still get gear back without too much issue. You have to use tactics and building to block off mobs to get gear back in bad/worst case scenarios.

I apologise for pinging but it seems I found the source of the stack smashing issue on Linux.
First of all, I made sure to do a clean install of the v18.5 modpack. Then in the ATLauncher I pressed "Edit mods", selected all mods and chose "Reinstall". I was quite surprised when ATLauncher prompted me to install some dependencies that were apparently missing. After that the game has launched.
Maybe they weren't downloaded before because of the Curseforge auto-download restrictions? But when ATLauncher has prompted me for manual install before these mods weren't present so I dunno.
Just to be sure, I made a clean reinstall again and this time added the missing mods manually:

The game launches and boots in the menu now.
However it seems that even though I have 12GB RAM (although system monitor shows 11.6GB), giving Minecraft 8000M is too much at least on Linux). During world generation I crashed because I ran out of RAM (java was using ~10GB). I enabled zram (I wonder why it's not enabled by-default) and the world has loaded, but still, having to compress RAM affects performance.
