most of the strongest mythic metals are in the y-40 to y-15 range
my best method for durasteel is spelunking in water caves
if you're not a siren or merling, get a master of the sea amulet. need to kill the water archon boss for wave crystal
That's around the y-levels we've been exploring.
Mainly getting morkite, silver, iron, moonstone, gold and some redstone here and there
they are pretty rare to be fair, that sounds about right
Making chests out of them will be more for after you have vein mining and high level fortune and unbreaking
Worst part is I have fortune, vein mining but missing unbreaking
I assume there aren't any hammers in this pack, allowing for 3x3 mining?

does shaders only matter with ram or would I need a certain graphics card n' stuff

just to add to the list of zenith issues, there’s a compat issue with the PlayerEx chunk-based experience setting. Using the Knowledge II effect works once or twice then instantly disables all XP orb drops in that chunk forever and it doesn’t rebound

can you help please, where can i find 16.5 changelog? because there is new enchantment system and i cant find bookshelf with arcana/etc.
also, the way the knowledge enchant works shouldn't be affecting this at all. the number of xp orbs dropped by mobs doesn't change, it should be modifying the amount each xp orb gives the player, similar to Bag of Souls or Soul Devourer from MC Dungeons. neither of which have any effect on the chunk based experience system

Is there a way to get the enchanting stats for Zenith working like it does with Apotheosis? I took a look in the mods and Zenith seems to have everything referencing and hooked up correctly, but I hardly understand the whole process from a few minutes of checking json files. So it seems like its a REI problem

Pretty sure you sneak to get invis. MC Dungeons Armors mod has a wiki that explains the armors.
Yeah I did see that, and thats great for optimal setups but things are a bit messier when you're just getting setup so it's nice to know the actual stats. Also some other unexpected items influence it that I wouldn't have known without the heads up. Like in the forge version the mystic oak tree gives Eterna + 15 (Max 15), which is really nice for getting an initial 15 before higher tier shelves start increasing it further, but it doesn't seem to do it in the fabric version for some reason. Still trying to figure out why

Please click this link and follow the guide. If you are using a server host such as Bisect, you may be limited in your options and instead have a checkbox to use Aikar's Flags, which will also work:

If you can not launch your server/game after using these flags, then remove the word java from the start. Also, make sure you are using Java 18 on 1.18.2 / 1.19.2 and Java 11 on 1.16.5. These should be downloaded from Adoptium's website.

Not sure on numbers or intent but I can tell you I tested this with The Returning Knight boss which also allowed me to figure out why conjuctivius boss stopped dropping any xp after a few respawns. Indeed you have to move chunks. Had to spawn in returning knight in new chunk after 1-2 times. Can get xp again in same chunk after a little while, not sure of exact time frame. Honestly could be intended because you gain a lot xp from bosses at once with xp gaining enchant setup.
Seems like when they updated their host messed up the custom flags, will report back if that doesn’t fix it
Could test out different materials such as diamonds, however, getting mending is typically pretty easy by this point imo.
So yes, single mobs will sometimes not drop any XP while the chunk XP is nerfed or just drop a lot less. But in this specific case, no mobs drop any XP at all, and it never regenerates, even after 24 hours not a single mob drops any orbs
do different anvils have better rates of higher rarities?
I’m guessing it’s an issue where with the knowledge enchant+enough mobs dying at once, the formula that calculates where the chunk xp factor drops to rounds it to 0.0

Ok I have no idea how mystic oak contributes to Apotheosis eterna stats on forge. I couldn't find a reference either mod in the other's folder. I also tried replacing REI on fabric with JEI fabric version, and the enchanting stats didn't show up with that either. So it looks like its a dead end.
Though that does make me more unsure if its an REI/JEI problem or a Zenith problem
Updated guide again, better wording which allows for those who wish to use Zenith enchant table. Table is a bit rng so to tailor perfect enchant setup on gear, have to start with villagers and anvil, then use max shelf zenith setup.
It’s probably zenith just not implementing it properly, REI doesn’t have that issue for anything else

The mining is slow
The thing is you can’t really expect players to not accidentally destroy your entire server. there would definitely need to be some way to disable or limit the spread specifically if the item is required

afaik there’s a couple extra craftable potion types, the vein goblin trades, and bumblezone candles, and that’s practically it for anything potion related

Is it just me or did Wizards not seem very strong? I tried it out and while all the animations were really cool, the actual utility was... underwhelming. It's very early in development though so I'm sure things will get better but I just mean at its current stage
For example, I had the strongest fire staff (Ruby) with +6 spellpower, enchanted with Spell Power V, and did about 3 DPS on the training dummy with the channeled fire cone spell. For reference that's about equivalent to a stone sword, with a diamond sword doing 15 DPS. I also tried adding Spell Haste V, and while it seemed like the spells were going the slightest bit faster the training dummy damage went up by maybe .1 or .2 or something. The wizard robes on the mod page mention that they let you 'become more powerful', and there is a reference to them increasing spell power in the .json for them in the mod, but at present they have no stats and I tested to make sure they don't actually contribute to spell damage yet.
To be fair, wizards is similar to Archon. Archon is also not very strong.
I also test on mobs before testing on the dummy to see how it works in practice
Because the dummy won't read everything and you have to be very specific when testing the dummy. For example: to test two different weapons, I have to wait until the dps number disappears from the bottom in order to get accurate results from the weapon I switched to.
If Wizards adds something like magic missile spell or any spell that is a persistent projectile entity rather than an explosive projectile entity then that spell can be very strong because of dex and ranged crit.
Yeah of course, I waited about 10 seconds between attempts to make sure. I think I saw the spell damage numbers adjustable in the config for the mod, but it just seemed a bit odd that the default numbers on the staves that required netherite to make were weaker than stone weapons.
Yeah I tried that out too. I don't know much about how the entity types interact with the origins, but switching to Archer actually halved my fireblast or firebolt or whatever it was damage.
I mean, there aren't any stats in playerex that directly affect magic. They affect other things and sometimes a magic spell can be considered one of those things. If your firebolt got halved, then I would assume the tag for that would be "attack damage" as Archer's attack damage gets halved. Usually that is melee damage, but possible that certain things are tagged incorrectly atm.
I have a feeling this won't be the case, if I read correctly it relies on new magic specific damage attributes supplied by spell engine. Which long term is nice, maybe PlayerEx could integrate that into the intelligence stat
Yeah true, I didn't think much of it since mods interacting badly together is pretty common, but just that at endgame it was as strong as a stone weapon was kind of disappointing, especially when the particles and animations were so on point.
Would have to get those two devs to talk to each other because if Wizards replaces Arcanus as it currently is, then magic will be literally useless in the modpack because it can't hope to keep up with anything else.

I kind of wish there was better origin compatibility with a lot of the other mods, some of them only working with vanilla weapons, some working with everything, and some doing unintended things like archer being a good mage but only with certain implementations is a bit weird. I realize why they don't work together, but it would still be nice.
True, that would take all the mod devs who add different gear to make the mod compat on their end I'm pretty sure. Mythic Metals, MC Dungeons, etc.
Maybe it could somehow incorporate the tag system JEI/REI uses? Like if goblins gain more damage from "gold", you could say weapons that have the gold tag instead of vanilla gold weapons

Not sure about config, but you can add each other to a team. If you are all on the same team, everyone has access to everything that is chunk claimed.
There's also locks you can make to put on chests (not ftb but in the modpack)
Hmm, I just remember adding certain blocks/entities to a whitelist of useable in a forge better-mc server i used long ago, now i run medieval fabric v16.5
It made it way easier to manage and decide what players could do at spawn/other buildings without being able to steal, grief ect, im looking to make a marketplace too where i would whitelist the trading posts so they can be used but nothing else can be griefed, Thanks anyhow tho! Do you think adding the levelup tomes back to chests and only chests would be detrimental? I was gonna host a server for friends so I'm not expecting people to try and break it as hard as possible, and there won't be mob tome drops. If levels take exponential experience I just though a boost from exploring would be nice

Disabling is a little on the rough side, but making them as rare as relics currently are I think is fine.
Yeah I had it set to a 1, which I think is the rarest they can be in the config. At least assuming that the 5 from lesser orbs is more common than the 1 of greater orbs

Open any menu with access to REI. Click on the search bar to look at items. My game then has an error popping up talking about REI. The only button there is [quit] which closes the game completely. Minecraft Launcher will then give me an error code.

Best way to get mending is to reroll a librarian villager until you get mending as the first enchant and then lock it in by trading. You can also find mending on other gear in structures and stuff like ruined nether portals and then use grindstone to get the enchant.

I don't think mending can be gotten from the enchanting table, so all tomes have a 0% chance
Yeah, that just means that those tomes accept whatever type of enchant can go on that type of item. It would be very hard, I think maybe impossible to get mending on any of those as mending is a treasure enchant.
Even if it wasn't a treasure enchant, it'd be very hard because armor tome can take all armor enchants, weapon one for weapons, tool for tools, etc. You'd be looking at a very low chance even if it wasn't a treasure enchant.

So personally, I believe it best to roll villagers, create a trading hall of sorts with farmers (carrots to emeralds) and librarians with the enchants you want. Add books to items by modded anvil. Then at endgame, you create max zenith enchant table setup and overenchant the stuff that can be overenchanted either using the tomes or just random low-tier equipment. Take those enchants off via grindstone, add to items via dragon anvil.
No need to kidnap, as picking them up messes with their restocking of trades. Make trading hall in underground village (find one of those) and waystone it.

Me and Lerin have a mending villager first day. It can take a bit, took me a bit to roll one because there's a lot of enchants now
Well, the issue really is when using carryon to grab the villager, they won't ever restock their trades
so once you buy them out, they don't restock
I installed Trade Cycling to make it easier, didn't seem to have any compatibility issues other than not fitting with the extra long names particuarly well
because for whatever reason, they are no longer attached to their workstation and are stuck in a limbo where they can't find another one
