With all these ways to gain extra XP, farming spawners will most likely still be possible. It can with the configs, but every update the owners have to adjust the configs again
And configs are usually limited to whatever the mod dev(s) make it to be. This change here should be a good change and it is still configurable because it is a config. So someone can change it back to the way it was if they want to. They'll just have to keep doing it every update. But better to change one config than to change many each time for one. But I think everyone will see that this change is balanced and will welcome new and more exciting farming methods (once I solidify them and most likely will test with Lerin's help).

Cleric would probably be around B tier. Something solid that does nothing too crazy because hero of the village by itself is nice but nothing insane and the regen ability is nice but can be phased out once you have radiance 3.

8. Did you follow the Performance guide linked in #faq!
9. To reiterate #1. did you install install the Modpack through a launcher or did you download the Server Pack or use the Server Files as the Modpack?

- bump down render distance to 10: achieves parity with default view distance on serverpack plus it can help provide just slightly better framerates
- bump simulation distance down to 5: simulation distance is basically the chunks that are ticked around the player. most players wont be concerned with ticking larger areas around em, and if they do we could encourage forceloading chunks instead. most farms wont be affected, unless they are very highly spaced out or incredibly large, spanning multiple chunks (which.. how often is that?)
- set particles to decreased: now this is a bit less useful, but decreased afaik does NOT remove any particles, just reduces the amount of them rendered. as a result, no particles are lost (or at least shouldn’t be), while being toned down to a slightly less taxing level. honestly i doubt this will make a huge difference, but it can be done for slightly better performance
- bump entity distance down to 50% or 75%: this will technically reduce how far entities will show up, with 100% being 10 chunks (same as render distance as (1)). this can potentially speed up rendering times since entities wont need to be shown from too far away. this change however could make it hard to see some entities if you zoom/spyglass, which may be unintended
these are the only vanilla settings i can think of that would make a difference with performance we could do

i keep 8 most of the time for distance on things because thats how my base and farms are spaced out, so no more than one large lag inducing farm is rendered and working at one time

Same as vanilla, make some more beds to put in the village, give some food to the villagers so they breed (bread, carrots, beetroot etc). Now you will have villagers that dont have a profession. Make a lectern and place it down to make one become a librarian. Keep replacing the lectern until you see mending trade.

no you just need to get lucky, the luckiness/luck stat helps you with that and you can even reforge the item on an anvil using an amethyst shard and an ingot from that material

I think it gets stronger depending on the distance you travel? Well in midgame when you got a good gear it will be quite boring believe me Im at pre-the end and now I one shots everything like there's not a lot of challenge anymore

I initially thought it was a sodium conflict so I removed that but still same error. I looked at the logs and its such an odd error like it is trying to connect to a server and failing but its not on a server.
I remove Replay mod and then have zero issues. its been a real head scratcher

I removed it and the other mods that were dependent on it because in the past I have had an issue where replaymod and sodium were causing conflicts. For the overworld and nether you can make a cave, try to make it safe (no block is farther than 24blocks from you, to avoid hostile spawns, place well lit, blocked entrances, etc), place a bunch of boats (mostly on the borders and around the center of the cave), and afk for a bit in the center
That way you would have a bunch of goblins in a matter of a few afk sessions
