Bag of souls III on all armour can confirm works. There will be a clear difference. I can test the others, pretty sure they work though. If you have level 1 of enchant instead of 3, then yes it can be hard to tell the difference. Also update to v13 if you haven't already.

Does standing on the pressure plate do anything? If not, the temple is bugged and the plate is on powder snow which doesn’t send a signal through. You’ll have to bypass it somehow. Maybe place pressure places of your own around it to try and get to the Redstone?

What other people said, but I think it’s still bugged to where it only spawns below vanilla biomes so if you’re not finding any make sure you’re not in a otbyg biome. Still really rare though. RER isn’t in the latest pack so this won’t show up in REI but it’ll be between y=-15 and y=15
