I switched there from curseforge following the announcement, but i'm having MASSIVE performance issues (50fps drop), even after reallocating RAM and following the performance guide somewhere in the discord.

Its not that hard, and even if it wasnt for this issue, you would still get lots of other issues with curseforge, sooner or later.

gdlauncher is way cleaner, faster, and doesnt force you to open overwolf which eats your PCs memory.

Stupidly, yes. They cannot be added as additional things on top of armor. So unless of course your skills ( Strength and Con ) gives you enough Armor and Health respectively, you basically can't use them, 'save for possibly helmet or Boots.

As they Rarely give armor points.

Hello, with the the authentication servers back on, I am still getting this error when trying to log in to my self hosted server. I have followed the steps from announcements exactly and am still using GD Launcher. The only thing I've changed to mod files is the removal of Environmentz and Dehydration mods which was done before the authentication server issue.

1. I haven't modified it at all, at first the brooms were working for me fine but then I lost mine and got another from creative, then all of a sudden every broom I tried crashed my game.

5. It crashes, not when I get on the broom, but when I try to fly on it (you can only move the forward key and you steer with your mouse)
6. When we first made the brooms I was the only one who could ride them without crashing, but now I just can't at all

Villagers can get any book. You can also find lots of enchants on gear. I use adventuring, conquering dungeons, and general exploration to obtain unbreaking and mending usually. You can also get more treasure enchants the more you level luck (although you should stop luck at 50) and I find plenty of mending that way. For Radiance and Void Strike, I villager.

Hi, I absolutely love the modpack and we've been running it for a few days, it's been a blast 🌠
I have a question about the mob difficulty as time goes past - some of the newer members are joining to find LV30+ mobs roaming around and getting one shot. Has anyone had this situation happen? Is there a way to bridge this difficulty for players joining at a later date?

Some superficial thinking makes me think I could just give them some of the armor I've already found, enchanted iron or diamond, etc, so they can stand a chance, but I just wanted to know if there were some more sophisticated solutions out there 🙂

5. Sometimes crashes at worldgen / sometimes on opening the single player menu / once it crashed when I changed the window size
6. I have not gotten past worldgen

Try as I might, I cannot find where the crash log is generated in the gdlauncher instance of the modpack. There is a report generated when the crash occurs, though I cannot copy/paste from that screen. The exit code is 1. Is there a way to access the crash logs that I'm not finding?

Alright, I want to ask about some.... questionable design choices for this variant of the modpack. Specifically the latest version. I have to right click placed water, over 10 times, for it to actually give any thirst, for one ( I know you're supposed to use Flasks, but I literally couldn't find ANY leather. ). For another, drinking ANY kind of water that's akin to Purified ( Potions, and such. ), and also drinking Purified water, Deals Damage to you? That's honestly stupid. Also: Breaking speed increase Does Not Work, since that's MEANT to be for breaking BLOCKS, right? If so: It does Not Work At All. Had a total of a 4.8 increase in it, and Nothing. Seems as if it only applies to Fists. Nothing else.

If you are already freezing, then it takes too long to warm up. Try hypothermia, see how long it actually takes to warm up and hopefully not die.

I've explained the method is prevention. That's how temp works irl and that's how it works in-game.

Fae, Brute, Shulk, etc. As far as temp resistance, I don't think so as they are two separate mods. Fae has magic protection, I think probably around 10% magic resistance, Brute and Shulk have some natural armor.

They'd die instantly in the nether.

I've seen quite a few mod have compatible things so that it adds stuff to them, or even modpack Dev's being able to for a modpack. Though, that was Forge, probably far more difficult on fabric.

Well, if the mod creators were to talk to each other and make compatibilities/data pack then yes. I don't bank on such things happening though. I simply just try to accept the way things be and improvise, adapt, overcome. Easier for me that way and I learn something plus get better at the game. That's just me though.
