Make a house that's not in a cold biome. Have your campfire there and might as well have it as your boiling station. You shouldn't be taking damage as long as you are wearing armor on your whole body and don't take it off. I assume freezing as in taking damage.

I noticed the server files for this modpack have about 70 fewer mods than the client pack. I assume a lot of the eye candy mods are left out of the server: the menu background blur, extra animations for mobs, some hud elements, and so on. Might it be possible to play using only the server mods on potato computers?

My friend is struggling to run this modpack. Would the server files let him play without all the extra bells and whistles?

Well we could add in Sodium and whatnot. Yeah I read the pins. He's tried that. I thought it might be better to take a more scorched earth approach and add a few things back, rather than start from the full modpack and have to disable/remove so much.

And I know hud elements don't impact performance much if at all, I was just listing some examples of the kinds of mods that I assume are left out of the server files. The mod that adds extra polygonal detail to player models and adds more animated, bendy appendages on enemies are the kinds of mods I would expect to start actually hitting performance.

I’m relatively new to this pack and Tom’s Storage, but what’s wrong with it? Don’t get me wrong, AE2 is probably my favorite mod ever. But it seems like overkill for a pack like this.

So, the main issue we ran into, that we hated with toms, was it would go to the first empty slot.

So, for example:

Chest 1, closest to the terminal is full, has no paper.
Chest 2, further away, is half full, has 32 paper in it.
You remove ender eyes that are located in chest 1.
You now place paper in the System.
The paper goes to chest 1.

You'll need a Magma Cube Backpack or Hades Crystal when switching to Warden Helmet so that you can have both Fire Immunity and Blindness Immunity.

Have to use Totem of Undying for each piece of Opulent gear to upgrade to Gilded Glory. To get Opulent gear, you have upgrade Emerald gear with Highland Upgrade core, Emerald gear can be crafted directly, to get the Highland upgrade core you have to upgrade a Base upgrade core with a Block of Emerald, and you can craft a Base upgrade core directly however it is expensive.

The crafting is an exploit that is unintended actually. It's a bug as you can combine two bad relics into a good relic for free by rerolling it.

Best to use tomes now. Get to the point where you can use only tomes to level because experience is important for enchanting

since no one guessed, Ice packs have a thing called durability. And guess what things that have durability can be affected by? Unbreaking, Mending, and also Hardening Catalyst

Keeping your body cool consistently also helps thirst not go down as well, so yeah. When you are in the nether, make sure to be mining that quartz to heal your ice packs when you have unbreaking and mending on them

No as there are a crazy amount of weapons. The idea in mid-game is to do what is necessary for working towards whatever your late-game setup is. I go for damage in this game because the options for damage also cover the necessary defense needed which means that it can be considered "optimal." The weapons for most dps setup with the right stats in playerex are Warden Axes. You wield two of them (dual wielding with better combat mod).

REI also shows all stats on weapons. Yes, I do take a good hour or two looking through the list and comparing weapons and other gear when first playing the modpack.

For bows, any bow that's not incompatible with the enchantment list I listed a while back. All the bows and crossbows from mc dungeons weapons mod are essentially re-skins of the regular minecraft bow and do not inherently add any ranged damage. They are just normal bows with only the first level on an enchant. #medieval-mc-fabric message
Moonlight Sword can be an amazing ranged weapon as it can be used with the Thundering Quiver (MC Dungeons Artifacts mod, loot you have to find), is spammable (so enchant with unbreaking and mending), and can crit with ranged crit chance as well as affected by ranged crit damage. Truly the combo of melee and ranged, although you do melee enchants on it instead of ranged.
The wand from Arcanus mod with Magic Missile spell is amazing for ranged builds as it can also crit with ranged crit chance and is affected by ranged crit damage.
Wands and spells from Archon mod for more ranged magic. (Craft Grimoire to get started).

hey guys, im playing with a 3070ti and ry7 5800x and the game has, up until this point, been running 300+ FPS constant. All of the sudden, I started building up to this sky village, and the game started going down into double digit FPS (5-30) and eventually crashed my whole rig to the point of having to force shut it down. Best armor set is Titan's Shroud imo as you get enough protection with a nice sized boost in damage. Tankiest that you can craft would probably be Metallurgium or the armor from Dragon Loot mod, but that is way overkill in defence. You can search "armor" in REI to check all stats. Some of the MC Story Armor mod sets have nice bonus sets. The Adamantine (not mythic metals) one can reduce all damage taken to 10% of that damage. The Shield of Infinity set has a high chance to negate all damage when attacked (although you'll always take the first hit as it needs a way to register that you are being attacked). MC Story Armors though are loot only, can't craft.

No it is not. If you scroll up a bit though, I made an awesome discovery. I can tell you that icepacks can be "repaired" with ice blocks. However, you can put unbreaking III and mending on ice packs because they have a durability bar. XD

Overheating potions, ice packs, you can enchant ice packs with unbreaking and mending. Hardening Catalyst also works if you have access to that. Mine nether quartz vein to heal them and such when they have mending. Do not refill with ice, breaks mending. No armor when you can. Equip in off-hand before entering Nether and never take off.
