You don't actually need the quest book. Just open your inventory and in the top left corner is access to the quest book.

hello hello I'm looking for some help, I updated better minecraft fabric 1.18.2 to version 12 today for our sever and when trying to launch the game, just the game not the server, it crashed and gave me an error

Well you shouldn't have to delete it, I don't think anyone else has had this problem. The mod makes some things weather, like iron bars, so those can disappear.
Can you check if the client and server jars of Immersive Weathering are the same version?

Deleting Immersive Weathering is probably pretty safe. I did it a few versions back, and it just deleted some iron bars I had as windows in my base.

That doesn't work; the client download on the Curse website doesn't include the actual mod files; the launcher has to download them. And some mods disallow downloading from third-party launchers.

The Charm mod adds the Collection enchantment and allows enchanted books to stack. It was removed a few versions ago due to it bugging advancements, but that bug has been fixed so you can add it back in without any problems.

Here are some of the mods in effect, the newest ones being today's, but the only one causing the issue that I could find is Charm.
I tested it by process of eliminations from the changes I made today, and everything seemed to do fine besides charm.

@plucky pawn I've played both Fabric and Forge. Both have their merits. The fact that Forge has Quark is HUGE in terms of QoL improvements to the game. If they added Quark to the Fabric version, It would be the best version imo.
Quark is just too good. Especially the inventory management features. Auto sorting and quick transfer is something Vanilla should have.

config has waystones disabled in villages but you can still craft them, as for bosses/dimensions forge takes the cake but fabric is making serious progression. I'm not aware of any official recommendation, but I give the client 7GB and have had no issues. You can always check the memory usage ingame in the F3 screen and tweak based on that, but it's not really necessary unless you don't have much RAM.

I need assistance. I'm building a room to house my aether portal. I'm building it high in the air, and using Aercloud (and eventually glass, but none's placed yet) to make a sorta bubble around it. The problem I'm wondering if anyone could help me with is, when I look through the portal, the aercloud is invisible... sometimes. I have two portals facing away from each other, and it's (mostly) visible in one, but invisible in the other. I believe this will be an issue with any modpack since curseforge asked other launchers to remove support or something. Polymc still works but it will list the mods it couldn't install (because those mod creators disallowed off site downloads) and you can click through the links to download them manually.
Same issue with FTB, only way to download their packs is from their app.

Im pretty sure you can't know when it will hatch unless there is a specific time limit said in the mod. But when it hatches, the baby needs to be fed fish to be tamed, and then when it grows you can ride it.

From what I understand, there was an update to yigd's configuration file structure. So you have to remove the old config file for it to fix the issue. At least that's what I've been reading.
It is fixable by deleting yigd.toml in the config folder, no need to delete or reinstall the mod.

to change your resolution for your monitor you right click on your desktop and open nvidia control panel and change resolution from there. but I dont think that will change much in game in terms of performance

I assume you mean shaders, in which case you have several to choose from, but the commonly recommended are Complementary Shaders, which you can download here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/customization/complementary-shaders/files/3826772. You just have to put the downloaded zip file in the shaderpacks folder, which you can locate in-game in the shaders menu, and then just enable the shaders in that same menu.

ehm, im programmer and I know that Java (like C#) have a garbage collector for removing unused objects, memory zones that have no pointers, etc
so the memory should no be increasing with the same time the chunks are unloaded

Depending on who you're hosting with, you can trim the world based on character play time per chunk.. like, if a chunk has less than 10 seconds of player activity, then it can de deleted and regenerated

Yes, the Infusion Table lets you transfer an item's enchantments into a book (destroying the item) so you can put the enchantments on something else.

The dragon does drop scales. If you didn't get any, they may have fallen into the portal and dropped in the overworld. I think this happened to me; I didn't get any the first time I fought the dragon either, but I fought it again and got scales.

You just download the shaders you want to use, for example Complementary Shaders: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/customization/complementary-shaders
Then you put the downloaded zip file (don't extract it) in the shaderpacks folder and enable them in the in-game options. There's a button to open this folder in-game in the shaders menu.

The issue with yigd.toml happens when you update the modpack, because a mod updated and changed the config format, which causes it to crash when it reads the old format.

Hey everyone! Has anyone faced an issue with biomes not spawning properly on servers (Better minecraft 1.18.2)? Mostly deserts and beaches, they spawn fine in single player but not on my server for some reason. I installed no new mods or did any changes. Sending over a couple of screenshots of the same exact coords on the same world, generated in single player vs server. (im using bisect hosting if that makes any difference)
