Please click this link and follow the guide. If you are using a server host such as Bisect, you may be limited in your options and instead have a checkbox to use Aikar's Flags, which will also work:

I turned off firewall, accept the remote signed and done almost everything that the !window11 command has except for the unblock file path since im still confused on how to do that since there are no examples and what's on the README was different from the !window11 commands

An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:\Users\Username\Documents\Minecraft\Server)

You can now run the server by double-clicking the start.ps1 file, or typing .\start.ps1 into the command line while in the directory.

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS
Run the command Unblock-File -Path .\start.ps1 in the same powershell window. This will allow the start script to not be blocked by windows, and run freely.

Went to test my performance between bmc2 v7.5 and bmc2 v8 and i don't exactly get a 4-5x fps boost like chorb said most machines, but my frames only went up by maybe around 20-50

Yo,ive been troubleshooting for like 10-15 minutes, but with BMC1 whenever i try to turn around, i get an insane lag spike to 1 fps until i stop turning. Tried playing with settings that would affect performance greatly, to no avail. is this a known issue ?

so im creating a BMC2 server right, and i figured it would be nice to add the "Terra" mod for some neat terrain generation. LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world. There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way. Here are your options:

  1. Create a server using the server pack or through a Bisect purchase. Type !server in #bots for more information.
  2. Install the e4mc mod and then Open to LAN ingame.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

when i removed the side tables tht had 9% in spark my frames didnt drop anymore. It is also an issue in their github as well. while it is true that i may not necessarily am using a nonmodified mc2 fabric, handcrafted is in it and it would be good to know for your modpack

It never caused a crash for me, and it was specifically being reported in my server console coming from Twilight Forest. Since BMC updated to Beta 2.1 of paradise lost I stopped seeing the message in console, it was just an annoyance it wasn't causing crashes.

Yeah should be fine, to be fair it is fairly limited on GDDR6 which might cause you to not be able to run shaders reliably, but otherwise should be ok.

4GB could get eaten up fairly quickly, but it should be flushing as needed - hopefully the drivers help.

Hello, I am having trouble trying to join my world. When joining the server, it gets stuck on "joining world". However my friend is still able to join the same area I was in with no issue.

  1. I have added "plushie-mod-1.2.1" and "travelers-backpack-1.20.1-9.1.2" and removed "frostiful-0.9.1".

  2. We are both using the Curseforge launcher

  3. Minecraft Version 1.20.1

  4. Better MC [Fabric] BMC2 Version: 8

  5. The issue seems to have started when I tried adjusting some video settings. The last thing I did was go into options > video settings > more culling and tried to disable Blockstate culling. My client crashes as soon as I disabled the option and get "The game crashed whilst rendering screen
    Error: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: 'void ca.fxco.moreculling.config.sodium.IntSliderControl$Button.drawRect(double, double, double, double, int)'" with "Exit Code: -1". After that point, I was no longer able to join the server. No one else is affected on the server.

  6. By not going to the "more culling" screen in video settings, my game does not crash. I have tried installing a fresh version of the modpack but still have the same results. I tried to restart the server multiple times. I tried deleting my player data on the server. Nothing has solved the issue.

Alright so I seem to have sorta fixed it. I copied my world. Deleted all the server files. Generated new ones and put the old world back in. Seems to have fixed it. Not sure if the root cause of the problem is solved, but for anyone on the same version of the modpack as me I would suggest avoid touching the "more culling" section in video settings

Please click this link and follow the guide. If you are using a server host such as Bisect, you may be limited in your options and instead have a checkbox to use Aikar's Flags, which will also work:

you should be able to force load chunks with xaeros world map and the claim thingy plugin, just claim the chunk and enable forceload on it
