If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

dynamic model loading won't do anything on a server so you can ignore that

make sure to not use one with dev in the name so it will work in a game environment

java 18 works best

19/20 would be best if you can somehow make them work

but java 18 always works in our 1.18+ modpacks so it's what I suggest

vein mining is convenient and people would complain about it not being available

dragons are a good endgame goal and we get daily questions about whether you can ride dragons

Also you can just adjust vein mining to mine a much smaller area, or restrict it to only ores like on my server.

Where it adds convenience for ores, but isn't "too much" for massive clearing.

I'm running a server with BetterMC Fabric, and at random points I will get booted from the server and not be able to rejoin, not and the issue persists through clean wipes and restarts. Minecraft says "Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: Index 12 out of bounds for length 4." My server console gives no error messages, it just shows up as if I clicked disconnect. Can anybody help?

thats not how you install modpacks

you are missing tons of very important files

do NOT move files anywhere

you NEED to install and launch modpacks using a modded launcher

you didn't follow the performance guide

there are many steps that require you to use a modded launcher

Build it like this pls. Never do redstone without overflow protection. When you got everything built right, put 1 item in the last 4 slots of the hopper facing into the comparator. 41 items should stay in the first 🙂

I'm running it on "MineOS" on a server I physically have. It's a Kubernetes Docker that's running on Debian Linux

I'm not super experienced or knowledgeable with networking admittedly, The server is running on an i7-11700K (3.6Ghz) and is being alotted 8GB of ram out of the server's 16GB, and looking at metrics, the host and OS aren't having any issues and it's not overheating or maxing out on ram, the server has little issues running otherwise, It stutters a bit while loading new chunks via exploration usually but it's just going into the nether that seems to just suddenly crash

hi again me and my friends just played the bettermc modpack and went to the deeper dark. We went in, travelled a bit but when we wanted to go back the server started crashing. The console is reading something about an entity before it crashes. We think its the skulk snapper from the deeper and darker mod when because as soon as it travelled at/through our home portal and we tamed it the server started to crash. We know fixed it by teleporting ourselves out of the affected chunks. Is this something that is known or is it to be expected with the mod, as its only in beta?

you have to first kill THE EYE that is summoned with the own egg, the game itself tells you how to summon it, then THE EYE will spawn a portal, you have to enter that portal to defeat void shadow, the way to battle is to use the void minios to try to make the shot at the void crystals the shadow summon randomly, is easier with a bigger crystals it summons like after you manually destroy 2 sets of mini crystals, the shadow is inmune to all physical dmg before its healt bar gets halved, after defeated the shadow will give you a buff called FAME, you need to use this buff to hatch the egg the shadow give you back along a crystal that shot the same bullet as the minions, a 3 books of over leveled enchantments

An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:\Users\Username\Documents\Minecraft\Server)

You can now run the server by double-clicking the start.ps1 file, or typing .\start.ps1 into the command line while in the directory.

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS
Run the command Unblock-File -Path .\start.ps1 in the same powershell window. This will allow the start script to not be blocked by windows, and run freely.

Pro tip. The quest will not complete if you don't get the last hit with ur sword. The shadow chest spawns near the exit portal regardless of getting the quest complete or not. I had to fight it like 4 times before it finally gave me credit in the quest log.

Hmm, yeah not sure - I would go double check your mods because that, at least on a server doesn't happen for me and my server is fresh out of the box no mods added or removed and I see players afking for really long periods all the time, and I'll usually afk for at least 10+ hours at my creeper farm.

Running latest release, from what I can see the only things that introduce this behavior are mods, which as far as I know are NOT a part of current release of BMC1.

Like AFKDisplay:

You could do like I mentioned and check the mods folder to see if they are just automatically adding an AFK detector to the modpack.

Your luck will vary on if they have some sort of script that just ensures that mod is always persistent, and might respawn if you delete it. It also might just be called in the server-start routine and not exist within the mods folder to avoid players from disabling it.

Otherwise you'll have to work with Apex, but it sounds like they denied it and blamed the pack - but as Chorb mentioned and I said earlier, it's not not a thing in this pack.

It is highly advised to not use Optifine, as it is very glitchy, will increase loading times to upwards of 10 minutes, and will decrease your FPS substantially. All Luna Pixel Studios modpacks come with shader support without Optifine via Oculus on Forge and Iris on Fabric. Optifine is also incompatible with all of our modpacks. The game will not launch with Optifine installed.

Hey I've been playing v17.5 HF of Better MC Fabric and was wondering if there is any way of moving a mob spawner? I built a mob farm for xp and its a high tower but nothing is spawning in it and was curious if its the modpack effecting it.

you should use Spirit mod to create your own spawners

You can also modify carryon config to allow you to move existing world spawners, but to play the modpack how it's intended yeah, use Spirit mod.

Modpack - A collection of mods. "Better MC 1.19.2 Forge", for example, is a modpack.
Modpack Version - The version of the modpack you are playing. v5, v6, v7, etc.
Minecraft Version - The version of Minecraft which the modpack you are playing runs on. 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, etc.
Mod - A .jar file which modifies the game in some way. "BetterEnd", for example, is a mod.
Forge - A mod loader which allows you to use Forge mods.
Fabric - A mod loader which allows you to use Fabric mods.

since jars are just fancy zips

first try to reinstall the serverpack

think you can do jar -tvf on your mods folder

to test the validity of the jars

find the ones that may be the issue

Hello i have an issue with the modpack running on a server with 2gb ram allocated. Whenever i enter the nether or the end it's empty void and you fall down infinitely. The tps stop completely and the server shuts down. I've tested the twilight forest portal and it works perfectly

2gb is not enough for a bmc1 server. Needs at least 3 to run and plus 1gb per player, so 4 for just you.

Yes it will start with 2gb but then you end up with issues like the above.

I finally managed to install the server correctly, I had to do the wget command to download it directly inside linux, with ftp it corrupted everything.

Anyway now the server seems to work, however I copied the data I had in the single player so I went to the folder "saves" - "the name of my world", then I went to the server folder called "world" and replaced the data of the world it had generated, only I get an error and the server doesn't start, I think it's "possibly by other Minecraft instance" and right? how do I transfer a single player world to the multyplayer without problems?
