Hello, from what I read above that 8GB RAM is more than enough for 4 players? but for some reason it crashes 3x within an hour time span due to lack of RAM.

I got a server hosted on ShockByte and have it set to Fabric 1.19.2
The question is how do i setup Better MC mods on this server?
are the mods supposed to be loaded onto the server or are they used on client side?

The mods need to be loaded both server and client side, your host would need to offer the modpack as a whole, or have the ability to launch from a server pack. I don't think you'll get much support here for ShockByte though, we recommend bisect hosting, or hosting your own server from your machine.

I see. I did then get another error which caused the game to soft crash. It was said that toggling this in the logs would remove the failsafe and its worked fine ever since. I switched it to false instead of true and the issue went away

It's a vanilla mechanic.. its a bit hard to explain, but the generic explanation is "How easily it is to get higher level enchants on the item".. Gold (in the vanilla base game) has the highest enchantability

straw golem missing texture is fixed by feeding them wheat, it seems when they are at the end of their lifespan flies start to swarm them and the fly entities seem to break on the minimap.

has anyone had any success with straw golems? they seem completely and totally worthless, they are broken on spawn for me. i've disabled lifespan and made feeding time 7 days and spawned in apples and stuff to make sure these werent issues. The only thing I can think is that they are detecting crops that I don't want them to harvest and that they are trying to make their way slowly there but they never end up anywhere lol they just seem to wander aimlessly and ignore my crops completely.

I've had some limited success from them by disabling the hunger. it also helps to have them fenced in. Also I do not seem to have them work with Rich Farmland... only regular vanilla type farmland

And also just fyi, even with everything setup correctly on a high end machine, it takes quite a while to load as there are over 250 mods. But odds are, you don't have the recommended java installed, not enough memory allocated, etc. We also really recommend you stop using curseforge and instead use ATLauncher.

Have you tried connecting to your LAN IP or just using "localhost" - if that works but not your public IP then it's simply that you don't have port forwarding setup correctly. You didn't really give a bunch of details to go on here.

overall ok modpack my only complete is that once you get ender dragon armor and tools their is no more real progression to be made besides beat bosses (which you are so overpowered against)

i feel like the bosses are not balanced with the gear you have

also not enough unique weapons i think medival minecraft is better in the pve area

1. at first, i added jobs+, essentials, create and shaders.. than i read essentials are bad for modpack so deleted and after another crash deleted jobs, create and even shaders.. still

So, weird issue I'm running into - I'm running on a server. 4gb RAM. World gen works fine with the mod pack in single player, but the server-side client fails to run betterx world gen causing it to default back to normal on the server and runs NO mods.

I am currently running my own Better minecraft (Fabric) server for me and some friends and was wondering if anyone knew how to add friends/party members to your claimed land so they can open chests and door in my area. I've had a look on google and I've done the search function in discord but didn't find any answers or if it is even possible ?

With the help from @golden viper we both managed to figure out the command to be able to add friends/party members to your claimed land, so in case anyone else is struggling with this issue and use the search function in Discord the method i used was

1. /openpac-parties create
2. /openpac-parties member invite (players name)
3. (player) clicks accept
4. they now have access to your claimed land

I use Spark hosting and they have a mod pack installation tool. Same method I used for the forge version that did work.

When I tried creating the world in single player and uploading it as a replacement for having the server generate it, it failed to load and said that it was missing fabric mod data

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

hello I am playing around a bit with BetterMC fabric to setup a server for me and me kids to play in local LAN.

Basic goal is to get more content in regards to structures, dimensions and more biomes / animals.

First question:
I went through all the 260 + mods and checked what they are about and found around 30-40 which I do not really need. Especially Hosting plaugins, the whole Delight (food addons) and some 'dark' dimensions like deeper and darker. My idea was to remove them to also get a little less Items in the Item tabs (it is quite hard to nagivate through 90+ screens).
Is it fine to start with BetterMC and 'remove' manually the content-based mods which we don't want or will this cause dependency issues?

Second question:
Is it necessary to start the server really with powershell and a big script in there or can't I just create a run.bat like I had it in my vanilla server:

having a weird issue where hostile mobs will eventually stop spawning. turning it to peaceful then back to hard will fix but eventually it borks again. i have added a few mods to the pack so i know any of those might be the culprit.

I mean honestly removing the extra mods one by one is the only real answer for figuring out which might be causing it. I know it's not the most fun answer, but unless errors are being thrown theres not much to really go on.

Can you elaborate? Are they failing to spawn everywhere or at a mob farm?

Also keep in mind that spawn rates dramatically drop once it's not just you in the server, for instance my natural spawn mob farm will almost cease to function as soon as any of my friends are roaming about nearby.

If I had to point my finger at one it would be the chunk loader but chorb might have a different thought and you should definitely listen to him over me. Did you ever restart the server after pre-genning? Just wondering if theres a bunch of chunks stuck loaded hurting global spawn rates.

I think force loading chunks is already built into better MC by way of claims, once you claim an area you can then set it forceloaded - just btw.
