Yesterday I installed through curseforge, and without following the guide, without doing any java installations etc etc, I was getting 100% GPU usage on an RTX 4090 which seems impossible.... And the only help I got was "Look at optimization guide". So I am trying to install properly by following the guide, but this bs happens

anyone know any chunk loader mod i can add to the game? i dont feel like wasting 5 hours trying to figure out what is wrong with a simple chunk loader only i can flip up, or having a random portal in the air or in the ground, or just making it, or it not even working, idk man! i just want some simple mod to help me :d

So I added all of Macaws packs for windows, roofs, gates, bridges, etc. Along with Puferfishes skill mod, and LevelZ/job addon and holy crap my load times of the game were near instant and now take 5 mins plus to load the start screen I've had to give the game 10 gigs just to start or it would throw an out of memory exception. Right now I'm giving it 13GB of RAM just to run it well. Before I was able to just use all the default settings and be great. What gives? Should I not add mods to the pack?

To reload textures and sounds, press F3 + T. If this doesn't bring up a loading screen, do the following:
1. Press escape and go to the Resourcepacks tab.
2. Move a Resourcepack on the left of the screen to the right.
3. Move that SAME Resourcepack back to the left.
4. Exit the menu.
If step 4 does not bring up a loading screen, do step 2, then step 4, then step 3, and then step 4 again.

One of two things is happening, the WGET service is a delayed start and isn't ready before your script starts, alternatively the NIC hasn't acquired a connection yet. Both could probably just be resolved by adding a delayed start to your shell script - this only happens during fresh boot, right?

I enabled that auto startup pc next time it gets power in the bios to boot the pc but it only happens as soon as a new boot happens

Crazy, because no one was able to answer your question you go on the attack - I actually spent a long time trying to find an answer for you but was unable to. The great thing about this Modpack is you actually didn't pay anything, and support is provided out of curtesy by developers and the community to help folks out. Not everyone is monitoring this 24/7 and working under an SLA to get an answer out, it's entirely plausible that no one that knows the answer has seen your question, and in fact more than likely - since if you notice, the majority of questions asked here get answered.

If you edit your carryon config you can, by default they are blocked - but you can just modify it to allow you to pick up spawners.

This one is set to allow you to pick up Spawners + Goblin Traders, everything else is default.

No problem and understandable! I basically polled my friends that played on the server and we decided to allow it, since ultimately it's a game meant to have fun - so we've customized a few things, on the opposite end - we nerfed vein mining to only work on ores since we felt it was a bit too strong.

yeah. on a server i could totally see it being activated... and i've played many packs/mods that have a way to do it... And i DO modify settings on occasion to make QOL better... but i try to never change anything "major" or "game breaking"

how does the spirit thing work? Like.. i've seen it in other packs, but i was always able to cheese those with Apotheosis so never learnt much about spirit

Basically you just collect a few materials for the spawner, you enchant with soul reaping to get souls quicker - kill the type of monster / mob you want to build a spawner for until you have enough souls (there are different tiers of spawners, top tier will spawn the most, and still spawn outside of the 16 block limit) and build it, I followed some guide online for making it, was less daunting than I expected it to be.

Checking the bygone nether change logs when these were added, I don't think they are used for crafting:

Added warped enderpearls, which don't damage the player, and grants situationally protective potion effects. Dropped by warped endermen and found in citadel chests

Oh what I meant is that the top tier spawner, you don't have to be near it for it to still spawn mobs (at least from the research we did) normally you have to be within 16 blocks of a standard spawner (I think it's 16) for it to spawn.

16 is the vanilla distance, yes (though it's hard to measure PERFECTLY, because of where it measures from, but 16 is the easy answer)

We suggest using one of these two launchers for several reasons. They are considered far better than any other launcher. When installing a modpack on either launcher, do it through the Curseforge tab within GDLauncher/ATLauncher. You can transfer your Curseforge save to GDL/ATL. Because you are downloading the exact same files, you'll still be able to join the same servers and worlds.

ATLauncher - Slightly harder to use, works offline, fast and efficient, has more features. Can be downloaded from https://atlauncher.com/downloads . Read the bottom of #faq for an indepth guide on installing a modpack using ATLauncher.

GDLauncher - Easy to use, works offline, does all the work for you, very simplistic and sleek design but it feels bloated to make it look nice and people do have issues with it. Can be downloaded from https://gdlauncher.com/en/download/

Curseforge - Refers to both the Curseforge website and Curseforge Launcher. The Curseforge Launcher is a modded launcher used to play & install modpacks. ATLauncher is a better alternative. All modded launchers can be used to install & play both Fabric and Forge modpacks.
Modpack - A collection of mods. "Better MC 1.19.2 Forge", for example, is a modpack.
Modpack Version - The version of the modpack you are playing. v5, v6, v7, etc.
Minecraft Version - The version of Minecraft which the modpack you are playing runs on. 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, etc.

It doesn't reset, it simply doesn't allocate the ram because allocating the ram for modpacks requires doing it inside of the modded launcher

We suggest using one of these two launchers for several reasons. They are considered far better than any other launcher. When installing a modpack on either launcher, do it through the Curseforge tab within GDLauncher/ATLauncher. You can transfer your Curseforge save to GDL/ATL. Because you are downloading the exact same files, you'll still be able to join the same servers and worlds.

ATLauncher - Slightly harder to use, works offline, fast and efficient, has more features. Can be downloaded from https://atlauncher.com/downloads . Read the bottom of #faq for an indepth guide on installing a modpack using ATLauncher.

GDLauncher - Easy to use, works offline, does all the work for you, very simplistic and sleek design but it feels bloated to make it look nice and people do have issues with it. Can be downloaded from https://gdlauncher.com/en/download/

We started exploring the End today and just found out thats somethings off with the generation of End-Ship Chests.

They are completely empty.
Tested it on SIngleplayer aswell, same result.

Someone have a clue what may be the issue?

  • Only Chests are affected (Brewing Stands are filled)

the crashed ships are the wrecked ground ones. if ground generated over it then that is just minecraft generation that has nothing to do with the type of ship. So there are the crashed ones that are on the ground and then the end city sky ships, that's it.

Hello! i got a question my own server BetterMc (fabric) on start up is stuck on
we've gotten the modpack on curseforge and its the latest version 1.19.2 and it was modpack v17.5

we've tried running it with more ram but we haven't changed it at all nor have we added more mods anyone know what might be wrong?

You're not going to see anything else until someone connects to the server.

If you're connecting to it from the PC you're hosting the server on, connect via "localhost" in the address field, for your friends to connect you need to forward port 25565 to the LAN IP of the server in your router, then give your friend your public address.

Assuming you are going to play from the same PC you're hosting the server on, in that case just open your client, go to multiplayer - add a server, and under address put localhost

Soul Reaper is for the Spirited mod the one that allows you to make your own spawners.... not sure what the hoofty does though

Are there any changes/buffs/etc to the enchanting system (using the enchanting table) or does it follow the vanilla rules completely (like 15 shelves max etc)

well... that's not exactly true. There is the Smarter Farmers mod, which specificially changes how farmer villagers work. And the seasons would affect them too... but only cuz of growing efficiency, not the villagers themselves.
