Check if java has been correctly installed by running java --version (or java -version on older versions), and seeing if the output is correct (see https://imgur.com/a/OWcoq4p for an example of the output)
- NOTE: 64 bit versions of java ALWAYS have '64-bit Server VM' in the version output. If that is not there, you have installed a 32-BIT version!! If you're getting Out of Memory errors or any other errors, PLEASE install 64-bit
- If the output isn't as intended, you have 2 options.
i) Delete ALL other java versions from your PC (ONLY recommended if you don't need them)

Yes, but as Kurichibo said, make a backup first. Also, its recommended that at least the nether gets wiped, because a ton of worldgen changes are in the update, you could also purge gnerated but unused chunks in the overworld, but that is a bit harder. You can find tutorial online for both processes

Farmer villager can trade cheesewheel. If you get that trade, then you use knife on cutting board. Assuming farmer's delight cheese unless you are talking about different cheese.

5. What steps are necessary to reproduce the crash? (Launching the game, exploring the world, etc)
6. Have you ever gotten past the point where the crash happens?

I managed to get a cheesemaker, but for some reason my villagers are only searching for the shelf if it's 2 blocks below them. Also had to generate new chunks for salt, laughably it's 4x rarer than diamond.

so the sample size for RER to work is higher
RER doesn't grab from like, a set database
it looks at whats already generated in your world
because salt is biome-specific the rates will show as low until you generate more chunks. even then, the number wont actually be accurate

So when you break a mob spawner you get a broken spawner from the Spirit mod.
You can go through this whole process of making a soul crystal, grind out a creature, and then put that soul crystal into the spawner for a quicker spawner.

same way I said, you defeat the void shadow, you get egg back that you used to summon the eye (which leads to void shadow after) and then you use fame effect from defeating void shadow to hatch the egg by standing near the egg

ender dragon has to be respawned manually. Ender dragon drops egg. Egg is used to build The Eye shrine to summon The Eye. You defeat Eye then an island appears above Eye that leads to Void dimension where you fight and kill Void Shadow. Dragon egg is now in chest. Void Shadow respawns every 30 min.
