you need a specific level beacon I believe, I just use ftb claims to forceload the chunk

But it does have OPAC
And you can claim/forceload from the map
But that forceloading is not that reliable, so I'd recommend to build a vanilla chunkloader too

You open your map then with right click select an area claim it & then right click that area and select "forceload"

Please click this link and follow the guide. If you are using a server host such as Bisect, you may be limited in your options and instead have a checkbox to use Aikar's Flags, which will also work:

If you can not launch your server/game after using these flags, then remove the word java from the start. Also, make sure you are using Java 18 on 1.18.2 / 1.19.2 and Java 11 on 1.16.5. These should be downloaded from Adoptium's website.

For what it's worth I host my own server (5900x, 64GB Memory, Gigabit ethernet) and this modpack has been such an incredibly stable experience for me and all my friends. I just got into minecraft, and setup was a breeze. If anyones having issues I'd definitely first look at the hosting associated with the server...and theres likely a reason Chorb and crew recommend / decided to partner with bisect.
Unrelated, and no rush:
Random, and might not be specific to this modpack - however this modpack is all I've ever played since starting my minecraft server for friends. I built a giant mob farm up in the sky, which works fabulously if I'm the only person on the server. As soon as friends are nearby, the spawn rate drops off significantly, if we're all up at the farm - it works as expected. Is there a setting I can change to allow for mobs to still spawn up here even if multiple people are logged in?

Mmm, Carry On and W.O.O.F both have hidden keybinds (or I think they do I'm pretty dumb) so you'll randomly get the W.O.O.F UI when picking doggos up and other times you wont. The keybind listed for Carry On in the controls menu, breaks them both too and just doesnt do anything.

alternatively I was just killing them in caves. if you find a big enough cave, theyll respawn as you run around killing them. recommend looting 3. they hurt real bad tho, keep an eye on your armour.

invited her earlier for the quests, now I claimed this spot on my map where the storage system is and I've given her an advanced terminal but she can't interact with anything inside of this claim

The missions for example; the shaman doesn't show up in the swamps - had like 4 people looking and we were there for 4 hours.

Modpack Version - The version of the modpack you are playing. v5, v6, v7, etc.
Minecraft Version - The version of Minecraft which the modpack you are playing runs on. 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, etc.
Mod - A .jar file which modifies the game in some way. "BetterEnd", for example, is a mod.
