So really the difference is negligible, but my inner min-max goblin is curious. I'm a demon stacked with some spicy Blood Magic armor, fully maxed out with Tough and Healthy (all that I can fit into the 300 upgrade points). Compared to Ultimerite armor, which I'd have to enchant with some sort of curse and what not is it actually any stronger?

As I can currently AFK on Stage 5 dragons and come back alive it's a moot point, but I'm curious

My guess, looking at it, it's just how either one of the mods are coded, it's either how DG handles enchants or how upgraded netherite does their stuff.

so i think this is a glitch or coding issue. but for the mod Obscuria's Essentials, to create the splitting table in JEI you need a plasma furnace with a platinum ingot in it which is impossible to get. but in the book it says its just platinum ingots which doesnt work

So I've been trying to generate the chunks in my server with the plugin recommended in the video by Sharkie and it just crashes fairly quick. Now I'm trying out Chunky Pregenerator and after 20 mins the server crashes.

So a few mates and I have been playing this modpack for a few weeks now, and we have some things we'd suggest, some of which we tweaker via configs when we reset our world:

• Make the Ice and Fire dragons a lot rarer I changed the config to make them rarer, further apart and further from spawn.
• Remove the Bountiful mod Whenever someone drops a bounty on the ground, it crashes the client until the item despawns.
• Remove untamed wild So much lag. Literally thousands of entites for turtles and shit. The added immersion/ambience is not worth it.
• Farlanders ... they're fucking everywhere. All the dimensions. Every 60m there's a fucking Farlander hut. I'm tempted to remove the damned mod.
• Greek Fantasy ... they're also fucking everywhere. Especially those god awful marble rectangles sticking out of the ground.
• The new recipe for Orb of Origin is a little too cheap IMO, players have started changing origin depending on what they're doing

Yes, there's an enchantment for Anvils for that - either Obliteration or Splitting. Don't think it has 100% success rate though.

Enchant the anvil, put book on floor and drop anvil on it!

Also, if you want to combine different enchants together without going through an anvil and burning levels... there's a library block (don't remember the name) that let's you store all enchantments and pull out a book with the enchantments you want on it... it's a little OP

Other OP stuff we've found in the modpack...

The witch's broom (from Hexerei I think, the mod with the witches and the fancy cauldron).
Literally creative flight mode. It slower than Elytra, but doesn't have any concept of durability, plus you can hover. Great for building without scaffolding!

I made myself a set of Ultimerite armor, it's amazing. And only took a few hours to get the required Ancient Debris - make yourself a spell from Ars Nouveau with Projectile/Explosion/Aoe++++++ and go to town in the nether.

Then do the same thing in the overworld for finding some Stellarite and make all your gear indestructible 😄

Ram looks fine, try messing with the video settings, especially those in the advanced section, see if theres any changes, past that, try removing magnesium extras, checking fps, then magnesium itself, see if perhaps it's one of those messing with it

What. The. Heck. I am throwing this eye out trying to locate the end portal. I get to over 25,000 blocks away from spawn(but not from my base). Then the eye changes direction. I thought "Finally!" So I changed direction with it. I went about 100 blocks, tossed it again, and it is still pointed in that direction. "Weird, but okay." So I tossed it one more time and followed it again. Tossed it up again and it is still pointing in the second direction. It is now pointing in the southerly direction but still West. I am now going against the direction I was going before. Like it targeted a different portal.

Yeah, this is actually not the first time this has happened to me. It happened the first I went to find the end portal frame. But then I just thought I messed up. This time I did not. I logged out after that, but when I go back on I am going to backtrack to see what happened. If the eye is still pointing in the second direction, I am going to dig down at the apex for the first direction, the point at which the eye veered off course. I will dig out a very considerable portion of the underground. Should I find nothing, which I doubt will happen, I will just pick up my balls and move on with the second direction.

I think I am going to find a portal there, and I do not believe it is going to be a troll portal either.

Even at a small chance of like 3%, over time, like in the use of a dedicated farm, this is an exponential increase.

Well, some are, yes, but you can also get the items with affixes from those pointy towers. And yes, you remove them with the multicolored books.

Note: a high luck stat helps with looting those chests in those towers.

Yes. But also be careful with the luck stat. The luck stat increases your crit rate, and critical hits nullify sweeping edge. And I don't know if the other AOE attack enchantments can compete with sweeping edge VII. So I think it may be possible that the luck stat, anything over 35 points, can be a hinderance.

the luck stat is easily one of the more overpowered things in the modpack. It affects loot drops from the bags and it affects the contents of the chests in the world. 1 iron becomes 20, 1 gold becomes 15, 1 piece of equipment becomes 10 etc etc etc

So be warned, the luck stat can trivialize the game, on any difficulty.

Hey there, I've recently installed the 1.18.1 Medieval Minecraft forge version, and every once in a while I have massive spikes in lag, with the right side of the f3 menu being red lines all the way up the whole screen.
I have 8gb ram allocated, so I installed a mod called "observable" to try to see what was wrong and whether it was something I was doing, and this result came up

Minecraft runs at 20 TPS (ticks per second), so you have 20 ms to process each tick before TPS starts dropping

20 ms (milliseconds) = 20000 us (microseconds)

Hang on, eye of ender no longer works for the purpose of finding a fortress

You have to use one of the 12 unique eyes for the end remastered mod to do that now, with this modpack.

Hey, I'm having a problem with MineColonies. My builders don't seem to want to build anything. When I give them the initial work, they do the work only for the day, dig or build. When a new day starts, they just stand still in the town hall. When I restart a build they do some work again for the day. Mabey I'm missing something, this was a problem right from the beginning, even with their own hut's.

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine to the mods folder.
For 1.18.1 Forge: Add OptiFine to the mods folder.

I checked with my friends logs and they have the same log but the get past the kiwimodule. We have the same launcher (MCLauncher) and the same Java installed.

Hey just letting you know, the issue with the skins was that the server was not set to online 😄 Didnt know it had to be for skins to work

There is no limit for how many enchantments an item can have in total.

End Portal blocks are unbreakable in survival mode. If you are on a server you'd have to use console to replace the block (or OP yourself), in singleplayer you'd have to open to LAN and enable cheats there.

Place the transmitter down and put a battery right on top of it. Then place the furnace down in front of the transmitter (but 1 block distance in between) and put a lever on the battery to give it a redstone signal in order to transfer the energy to the transmitter.

Well early this game i found 4 mage towers with a ton of good enchants and a sword with +7 fire damage so i enchanted it and hit for like 55 hearts. I killed everything I could find in multiple places in the deep dark, is it nether time?

Not sure if this is the place for modpack issues or not. I am running a server with the modpack and found some small recipe conflicts in regards to Minecolonies. The vanilla chain recipe is overwritten by the Iron chain recipe from Forbidden and Arcanus, Also the cracked stone recipe (smelting stone bricks in a furnace) makes smooth stone bricks from Eidolon. Minecolony colonist will not use either of these over rides when building structures. Not complaining and we have worked around them on my server, just letting someone know.

Thank you. That seems to be something that would have to be fixed by the mod-authors of Minecolonies. The config doesn't allow to choose between conflicting recipes.

Last night we went into the Atum for the first time and after adventuring a bit something screwed the server. It would connect fine, show no errors, TPS looked fine… but the little ping/connection quality indicators were at a single bar for the 2 us online at the time. Impossible to move or play basically, I kept getting snapped back to my original position.

Restarted server, rebooted the whole machine… nothing helped.

Restored backup from the day before and all is back to normal.

If you really want to meme them, you can become the phantom origin and us its ability to xray your way to them if I remember right. It's a bit broken doing it that way though. Oceans sometimes have their den sticking out of the ground too as another way to find them.
