Yes, that's good. But some updates in the past contained game-breaking changes (like world-generators and biome-adding mods being removed). Some things are just "stuck in the code" and get dragged along. A fresh install would avoid that, and you could still keep your world by simply copying the \saves folder.
But perhaps your issue is completely unrelated to previous versions, let's see what your latest.log says :)

Please launch the game again, and while it loads don't tab out, don't click and don't press any keys. When it gets to "Freezing Data" it will take about 3-5 minutes and might even go into "Not responding", but don't panic. It will recover by itself.

Well, it depends on what you got. If you have Protection X then go for moonstone armor. If you got armor toughness affixes from apotheosis items though then go for dragon scale armor.

Normal bookshelves all give only +1 eterna. You can see that when hovering over the shelf in your inventory. Try hellshelves, seashelves and end shelves.

So, the command that should've worked is "/cspirit removePresentData", but that didn't do what I wanted.

So instead you can do /cspirit stopDailyGiftEvent and then /cspirit startDailyGiftEvent, and then relog. You'll get another gift.

You can disable clouds in the settings, but it would probably disable the shader-clouds as well.

I like the mechanic where you start off small but with no health, then grow larger with more health but a bigger hit box. It forces you to change how you play as you progress. if you strip away all the buffs the mod gives you its pretty balanced. That's why i want to add it. .. but anyway ill experiment some now. 🙂

The chunks are saved in your world-folder. You can just replace the region-file of the re-created world with the one from your old world. It contains all chests and entities as well.

Maybe, but that's certainly not a safe method to find the right file XD

Imagine a square around your base containing the chunks you want to keep. And then visit the 2 opposite corners of that square and note down the coordinates. From those we can find the correct files.

The region files contain 32x32 chunks. So you don't have to be precise.
