Hi everyone, I have an observation regarding Medieval Minecraft 4 . The situation is that I have played it quite a lot, and my experience is that it can be completed quite easily. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough endgame content. For example, a titanium set was enough for me to defeat all the bosses. I think that the items dropped by bosses lose their purpose, because after defeating them, the boss drops become meaningless — there is simply no reason to continue getting stronger.
I would like to ask the game’s developers to somehow expand and improve the endgame mechanics and content. My idea would be that even after the ignitium and cursium sets, there should still be a reason to keep playing.
I am only sharing my observations; this is not an attack. I think LunaPixel Studios is doing a great job. I wish you continued success, and thank you for taking the time to read my message! (Mmc 4 v38)
Id honestly focus more on missing textures
You shouldn’t be missing any textures, normally that’s from a busted download caused by curse or messing with the pack
nah i mean there is quite some stuff with mod original textures - which look bad compared to texture pack
That’s mostly something that the texture pack artist needs to work on. Not the modpack dev.
If you see specific mods affected, you could reach out to the artist about looking into doing them.

i beated it on hard and hardcore difficulty .. at 30 min i farmed a titanium full set and gg ez..
if u know how to set the right affixes to the items u can easily beat the game with rly basic items, and i rly like this modpack but if u kill bosses like ignis and maledictus there is nothing to use the ignitium ingot and cursium cuz u arleady defeated the hardest bosses

The thing making it insanely op is the fact we can get ancient knowledge 7 with the exp enchant I forget the name of, looting and scavenger, at a point reforging costs upwards of 500 levels-fixing apotheosis would simply require a nerf to kota potions and maybe the exp enchant as well
For irons you could nerf spell damage to make melee paths actually viable
out of curiosity is there a way to get an EXTRA back slot? Having the backpack in your inventory seems to break some of the backpack upgrades. But having the backpack in the back slot means no elytra
No extra back slot, no. You could try to equip the elytra in the cloak slot (which works on MMC5 from what I've read), or alternatively disable the backpack curios-integration in its config if you prefer having the backpack equipped in its own place and not taking the back slot.

If you choose the config option, it's the travelersbackpack-server.toml file in the \serverconfig folder inside the \world save folder.

Hi! So I disabled Samurai Dynasty from MMC4 in the curseforge launcher as I wasn't a huge fan of the changes it made to the game but when I try to load up Minecraft afterwards I get this glitched menu and it crashes upon trying to start a world. Is there a fix for this or is the mod just required for the modpack to function? (It's v38, no other changes were made and it always happens)

BUG:
MMC4 Forge has 2 animal fats
one is from the mod "delightfull" , this one never ever spawn or is loot
the other animal fat is from "survive"
problem is, on the one from "delightfull" has a recipe not the one from "survive" but the "survive one is the only one that is spawning or in loot
so both are useless because one doesnt exist and the other cant be used for recipes
this bug is in there for months now
Removing a mod shouldn't mess up the menu, that looks more like an installation issue. Did you play on this instance before removing Samurai Dynasty or did you install, remove it and then tried to launch for the first time?

The screenshot doesn't show it but there was like a yellow box on the top right that said "resource reload failed" so I did try experimenting with removing resource packs if maybe one was linked to it but no matter what I did it would still crash upon either clocking the singleplayer button or create new world

Alright, messing with resource packs would explain the main menu. There's also a registry error in the logs (which I expected not to cause an outright crash, but who knows), so let's try this:
Go into \config\blockswap and remove all samurai_dynasty related entries in the block_swap.json5 file.
They're pretty much at the end of the file.
It should look like this afterwards:
Alright did a fresh reinstall, removed the mod and took out the blockswap entries gonna try it

Seems the issue is the blockswap config still referencing samurai dynasty blocks

Im playing MMC4 with friends and we cant find in any way the cave biomes from Alex'sCaves mod. Is there something we can do to find them or should we just give up? We even tried to use commands like /locate
Move your weapon to slot 1
All cave biomes can be located with the maps from the mod. You'll have to explore a lot in all directions though, since they are very rare.
This was a common issue with weaponry in MMC5, and it was fixed by just usin slot 1 in your hotbar for your melee weapon

I would think that two different skills implies exclusivity. So, it looks like equipment does not include rings, and likely includes ranged, melee, armor, shields and other tools
Just out of curiousity, did worldgen change from 1.29 to 1.30 on mmc5? There seems to be a lot of structures inside of other structures in my new map...

this is pretty much random. unless we were to move everything into one structure set, it's mostly unavoidable with multiple structure mods

works for me, i tested it with 3 different kinds, you need enough material and both gems must be the same tier, dont forget higher tier need higher tier material

Re-installing the Pack atm (MMC4) but did anyone else have some issues with GUI? for me text and buttons were overlapping a lot and some things were hard to read because of that

I think its an issue with gems specifically from Passive Skill Tree. Apotheosis ones work, even autofill when shift clicking. But it does not seem to be recognizing PST gems

PST gems are not one normal gem but multiple gems each with a max rarity on top of a min rarity
JEI should have the upgrade recipe for the gem? I think it's just 9 of them in the crafting table.

SB has upgradeable backpacks with more storage, more functionality than shulkers and you can dye them. Soph Storage has upgradeable storage blocks, includin shulkers and you can dye them
We bring up backpacks because nine times out of ten they're more useful than shulkers
As for attachin an item to the shulker, that's a pretty specific feature, the probability of another mod that does that in this version is incredibly low, we're offerin you alternatives
the answer to my question is "no" then. not "just use XYZ mod that does a million other things that you weren't asking for"

just a little note, I just got back into minecraft and updated from v31 to v38
Sophisticated mods allow using an item as label by default - you don't need that extra mod. This should work for Soph Shulker variants as well

Hmm, it can't render your corpse for some reason. Did you have any items on you when you died that you really want to keep? Otherwise you could move the Corpse mod out of the mod folder, join back into the world and then add the mod back afterwards.
Can I retrieve some kind of list for the items?

Oh, I think I got it. In your world save folder is a \deaths folder. Can you send the file at the bottom of it? (Should be latest death).

If i remember correctly, first crash was when I died at my base, when I respwaned I crashed after a minute or so
then the crashes came down sooner and sooner
like the temporal loom is tearing or sm sht
I'd suggest to move the Corpse mod (both files) out of the \mod folder, join back into the world to make sure no crashes occur, and then after placing the mods back move these death files into their folder, too.
It's possible that one corpse bugged and didn't render properly, so if you want you can try to add the mod(s) back.

If you add the two files you sent before, they should be in the death history, yes.
I think "U" is the default key to open the death history, and when in Creative there's a button to grab the items.

the issue is most likely that the same duplication happened with EMF, which needs to be an older version on v38 due to adding Fresh Moves
otherwise you get this Corpse rendering crash
so a fresh install and transferring your world folder should fix it without having to remove Corpse

Hi it's been a while since I've looked at any lunapixel packs. The last one I played was BMC4 and we had a blast working through it.
Thinking about spinning up a MMC server- but I'm just wondering what the consensus is for which version is most "feature complete" I guess? Or has the most stuff to do? Or should I just go for MMC5 and let it rip?

You craft the dragon forge core on the Hephaestus Forge. The recipe should be in JEI though?

The upgrade recipes for the Forge are in JEI, too. Also, I think there are both "lit" and "unlit" versions of the dragon core in JEI, make sure you hover over the unlit version when looking for the recipe. Perhaps that's why you couldn't find it.

You could reach out to the author of Ars Nouveau and ask them if there is something that can be done (seems like some issue with the sky)

Hey, I have a question about the mod Alex’s Caves. Some of the caves are not spawning (specifically the magnetic caves). I checked the Alex’s Caves config file and they are supposedly all enabled. How do I enable them or fix this? 🙂
They're all generating, just extremely rare. You'll need to make one or two maps and explore a lot in all directions (since they're not 100% reliable).
i tried in a 30000 radius and in multiple world t-t
also tried the locate command and nature compass as an extra mod
The /locate command is not reliable (see [here](#medieval-mc-forge message) ). And Nature's Compass will self-destruct if you attempt to use it to find the cave biomes.

On your server, go into the \world folder. There is the \serverconfig folder, and inside of it the travelersbackpack-server.toml file.
There you can set the line backSlotIntegration = true to false
It doesn't add a slot in curios, but when you hold a backpack and open it you'll see an "Equip" button. It moves the backpack into an invisible slot (well, you can see the backpack next to your character in the inventory then) and you can access it with the keybind.
In case that was confusing: you'll see the backpack here then:

The "Equip" button becomes the "Unequip" button when equipped. So when you open your backpack with the keybind you can just press that button to get the backpack into your inventory.

You can go into the server's config folder, open the bcc-common.toml file and change the number in the line

The skill tree is rather independent from your origin. For the skill tree your play style is of more relevance (like, whether you use melee or ranged weapon, or use magic instead, whether you want to be tanky or a glass cannon etc). Don't be afraid to make a mistake in the skill tree either, you can reset it with an Amnesia scroll (at the cost of 20% of levels).

You can use our built-in equivalent (world share) or just install a dedicated server on your/friend's PC (or buy a host if you can/don't want to deal with it)
It should be in one of the logs, but if you don't remember the time it happened or how many times you played after it happened, it would probably be faster to recreate it than to search for the log file that contains the information.

Looking at the modlist of MMC5 I'd suspect it's from the mod Starter Kit. You can type /sk in chat and see which options auto-complete gives you. Should be something like
/sk choose [name of kit] or /sk give [player] [name of kit]

Im having an issue with my crit chance not being calculated correctly. These are the 3 items giving me bonus crit. But if I take off the gloves, my crit drops to 37.8%
Similarly if I just equip one of my rings, now my crit is only 6.25% Even though I have a +25% gem
Some values are additive, some are multiplicative, and some are "multiply base". You can press F3+H to see which item/gem gives what kind of increase. In your screenshots you can see that the +35% gem is multiplicative while the +17% and +23% are a flat increase. By taking off the gloves you are removing 17% flat increase, resulting in 1.35 * 28% = 37.8% crit chance.
Similarly, with only one of the rings equipped that grants 25% multiplicative increase, you end up with 1.25 * 5% = 6.25% crit chance (5% is the default base crit chance). Looks all correct to me.
That makes sense, but I noticed another quirk. Depending on which Item i equip first, ill have 2 different crit chances.
These are both with all 3 of my crit items equipped, but with equipping my rings in different order.
Oh, It may be because those gems are unique, and whichever one I equip last is overriding the other. hmm.

The servercore exclusion for minecolonies doesn't work for me for some reason. the citizens still crawl when they're far from the player but I can see the exclusion in the server config

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

@wanton oak after asking Gemini, it said it could be related to a effect applied to a player, the player confimed he was hit by an electric dragon before this issue happened
i dont see any effects mentioned in neruina log
ATL fixed it, once he was able to get back in he was finally killed by the dragon in events, so im assuming he was missing some part of the effect
Not really about whats in the log, but more on the knowledge of possible causes deeper in the system
The only other thing suggested (by opus) was bad use of a dependecy which my mod did have according to it but i had not uploaded that update before he joined back in with ATL to see it work fine
The dependency being Log4J and that being a known cause of LinkageError

I'm on MMC5 and I'm gettin massive FPS lag in specific areas. One area is the origin island, specifically around the altar, and another is at one of those ruined cities. There doesn't seem to be anything around that would be causin the lag, other than the ritual core at the origin island. Will post a clip in a moment

experimention suggests that a Minecolonies update between v14 and v29 of MMC5 broke their JEI/TMRV stuff
Hi! Playing on MMC4 V38 and having the issue of trouble finding certain passive mobs, and having the issue that some passive mobs from modpacks like ice and fire don’t spawn at all. For reference, Ive been trying to find a hippogryph in my current playthrough, and not only can I not find a single one in any of the suggested biomes, I can’t even get a rabbit to spawn so I can tame one of the things. Not sure if it’s a modpack intended thing for zero passive mobs to spawn, but thought I’d ask for some outside help or input.

Hippogryphs are indeed incredibly rare, but that's probably just because they have a very low spawn weight and share a mob cap with all the other mobs in the modpack. Rabbits shouldn't be that hard to find though? I see them pretty frequently, most notably in deserts.

Can confirm, netherite canteen is behaving strangely. It turns into a regular canteen when right clicking a water source. Crafting it with a bucket actually fills the netherite canteen, but as soon as you take the last sip out of it it turns back into a regular canteen as well. Currently only useful to void excess netherite. @molten vigil

If the delay is caused by the physical distance between player and host, there isn't much you can do. That's why many multiplayer games have servers on every continent and offer matchmaking based on region.

Berserker's Fury is a curse. Grindstones cannot remove curses. If you want to remove the enchantment, you need a prismatic cobweb.

Virulence sword gives 3 more seconds of Virulence, doesn't give Shocked, and instead of +4.5 fire damage (on hit) and +13% overheal, it gives +21% armour shred and +10% crit chance

Hi, I'm on MMc4 v37 and we can't craft the dragonforge fire core on the hephaestus forge, someone else have this problem ?
I made this trade system in me server with the quest mod to balance some armors, weapons, etc... And give an use to some items that normally are not important, (we have: loss all inventory on dead) If anyone likes the idea there it is.
You have it upgraded all the way to tier 5 correct? And the required amount of essence? And screenshot the forge setup both in and out of the menu, and recipe for me
The forge is indeed tier 5, blood seems to be lacking but it's bugged and way down in the negatives, it isn't a problem for other recipes, they work fine.
If it’s bugged try breaking the forge and placing it back. It might fix the count but still. You also might want to try with the regular pedestals FIRST
Normal pedestals don't work either, I can't get the blood high enough it always loop back in the negatives on the way up.
It can't get higher thant the first 3rd, it loops in the negatives
I did, but any forge that I place can't get higher than 32k-and-some blood before going back to the negatives

On my server we just ended up slapping a repeating command block killing them as soon as they spawn, the "I took your sword" mechanic is just to glitchy and we more-often-than-not lost very hard to get Sword because they just despawed or didn't drop it back when dying.
Can you show me that command? I may or may not will save it when they get absurdly annoying to deal with
You can just add it to the YSNS config to disable the mob.

In \config\ysns, open the disabled_entities.json5 file and add the line
"sons_of_sins:betrayed_guzzler"
(If you're ingame right now you can test if that's the correct mob ID by using the /summon command, otherwise you'll have to wait 10 min for me to verify it :P)

I am having a simple yet horrible issue. Texture packs for MMC 4 were disabled, even when I replace my option.txt from a new downloaded version, it doesn't work. What am I exactly supposed to do restore the order for texture packs?
Just deleting options.txt should work
I can use the texture packs, but I am not sure about the priority of which ones should be at the top.
When I delete Option.txt so many get disabled for no reason.

You're on MMC4, right?
Mob level then mostly depends on the amount of skill points in your skill tree and the dimension you are in. Distance from spawn has a rather small effect on it in comparison.

The rarity of dropped equipment (like mythic) depends on the level the mobs are. You can check the 3rd pinned comment for more detailed information. Visiting other dimensions is an easy way to find mobs of a higher level earlier.

We've had a fair number of people who were surprised how strong nether mobs are, so I'd recommend to not level the skill tree too fast before knowing how well your own equipment is scaling.

surprizingly, samurai armor is almost same protection as diamonds

Apotheosis affixes and gems are what makes armor good enough to withstand most mobs, so if you're looking into that as well you're doing well.

hmm i mentioned before about possibly finding a config that turned off endermen teleporting players, but it seems to be a second, different config than the one currently affecting us. which mod is it that is doing this? We thought it was quark, but we can't find a config option matching that.
additionally, we just tried making anchoring charms - these are not functioning either in mmc4 for us. we have them turned on and have the anchoring effect active. none of us have messed with tetra at all, which i saw could be a possible issue when trying to search in here

you should be able to just pick them up while crouching with empty hands

I know it says they rarely spawn in underground caves but the tendancy to find one is rare and i don't want to "cheat" my way finding them

It could also serve as a useful guide to pin 
Ice dragons are the easiest to find because their caves often stick out of the ground in cold oceans. So you can actually see them from above.
Fire and Lightning are a bit more difficult. You can use a Spectral Amulet or have the Glowing effect on your pickaxe though to see the outline of mobs within ~50 blocks. Mining at the center of the ground allows you to see dragons from -50 to +50 that way.
So ice dragons are easier to find in a cold ocean sole because their nest could be underneath the ocean and they could "Fly out"? 

then again its easier finding dragons with a bow compared to anything else, but that was back in v30 so idk if things changed in v38
i did saw they had 1538 health and proceed to made a mental note to actually good armor before taking them on 
For the glowing effect on pickaxe, is it from apotheosis affix? which rarity would that be classfied under?

Yeah, it's an Apotheosis affix, called Aurora Glowing. I don't know at which rarity it starts though.

But id doesnt seem to buff my iron spells and spellbooks spell damage
And 12% spell power also doesnt seem to work

did you restart the game after changing the config? the game won't read new changes to configs unless you restart
made the same config change and after our server was restarted, can't even /summon them
You can try but I’d recommend playing a singleplayer world before altering the server pack, just to test the waters and make sure it doesn’t hurt performance or cause issues beforehand

It’s only difficult because of the sheer amount of aquatic mobs haha. You’d best look in rivers or deep oceans honestly, but I know frozen oceans are also pretty good for them

I just did the night warden fight, and chose hardest difficulty… i didnt expect my guy to have 180k hp💀
Fist it went good i did some dmg he did a bit

And the problem was it was shooting the direction my waystone was
So i keept dying as i tried to reenter the arena
Then i realized i had my dragonsteel armor set, that was fully reforged, gened abd enchated
And i put those ignore magic dmg and heal for that emount gems in it
Both esoteric level. So 30% and 35% ignoring
Then i could reenter, took my stuff, back home, did some changes to armor
Like those gems to my main armor
And went back to fight!
It was a crazzy battle
Loved it!!!
Not like ignis or the other bosses that i just keeo death lasering them 5-8 times and i win
just more dmg
the problem is tho that we cant restart that battle with the eye
i dont have ancient fragments to craft his item sadly

It should work on anything that can be grown with bonemeal.
Thought Sugarcane can be bonemealed
Had it grow on rich soil and it seems to grow faster, just haven't observed it thuogh

I’m having an issue with the Ancient Knowledge 2 potion i was able to drink it about 3 times, but now when I drink it, the potion is consumed and I only get the effect for 1 second.

I joined the discord server because I'm going a little mad trying to find the boss Sunleia. Checking older posts here I found out she is NOT spawning in the pyramid she is originally supposed to spawn at, but at a temple.
But where and how do I find that temple? Do I wander around aimlessly, any specific biome...? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
The structure generates in desert biomes. Like the one here in the center.
Holy cow, I've gone through seven or eight different desert biomes and haven't found even one of those.
Are you on MMC4 or MMC5? I just drank 5 of those potions without issue.
Hi there my MMC4 doesn't seem to work properly. When I launch the game it loads and shows the Lunapixel screen but it doesn't go beyond that cause the game just shuts down. I've tried everything from deleting and reinstalling to allocating more ram to the game. Is there anything else that I can try to fix this?

I'm on MMC4 as well, so that sounds more like a bug. Make sure you don't have the effect active from another source though, since you can't have two versions of the effect at once.

Can you please go into your \logs folder and send the file called latest.log ? Perhaps there's anything to see there.
With 16 total I wouldn't allocate more than 8 GB. If it won't load with that, please send the latest.log from your \logs folder.

I am trying to build a dragon forge core with the Hephaestus Forge of Forbidden & Arcanus. I need 100k blood to do the ritual, but when i reached 30k it turned to -30k, and i cant add more blood now, it looks really bugged :

I think someone else recently had this issue, and breaking and replacing the forge fixed the issue
It still showed negative for them, but worked after looping 3 times apparently.
I broked it and now it's a tier 1 forge
