Hey any idea why I cant hit an enemy (with a sword for example) after being hit by it?
So far i've checked;
-Doesnt happen in singleplayer, only in multiplayer
-Im the only one experiencing this
-In creative mode I do not have this problem
-Tools are fine, weapons fail
-Target dummy is fine, real mobs cause it
-Switching weapons gives one working hit

It only happens when I use a special weapon from a mod but I dont know the name. When I use a normal sword everything works just fine.

Hey I'm really new to the server and I'm trying to look for staff support for this mod pack on forge. Does anyone know where I can get in contact with someone? I'm experiencing all sorts of crashing when trying to play with my wife. We recently got new PCs with different specs. She's having no issues whatsoever but I feel like I'm getting every crash code possible. I've tried a lot of stuff posted on the discord using ATLauncher, disabling overlays, updating drivers. It's really starting to kill my hope for being able to play at all.

I spent a good portion of yesterday setting up the ATLauncher using the instructions. When I try using the launcher I get this message instead

Just yesterday I brought my computer in to a Micro Center to get it checked for damages and un/fortunately they weren't able to find anything. Part of me just wish they did find something so I could finally understand what's going on and fix it. This mod pack is important to me, I have to get it to work.
What are the recommended "JVM Arguments" and how do I begin altering it? I was thinking that I could try -XX:ActiveProcessorCount=16 but I don't where to locate it to make changes.

To follow up on the attack bug thing, my buddy and I plugged the console errors into chat gpt and it was like partially correct, it said the game thought a different item was in our hands so it cancelled the attack - the bug actually appears to be related to the hot bar, no weapon works consistently unless itโs in hotbar slot 1
I donโt know if thatโs gonna be the case for everybody
But hotbar slot 1 works fine in combat
Pack is really cool in terms of whatโs here but not being able to attack is pretty goofy and Iโm seeing reports of it in searches from October

So far so good, I read the form and searched online for a matching BIOS Utility tool that would instruct me on how to under volt the cpu and reduce tempreatures to help with performance. I'm finally able to get into the game!!! If there's any crashes within 3 -5hrs I'll let you know. I should be able to fix it myself by tweaking some settings in the BIOS but I'm definitely going to come back with an update to say this is the fix that everyone with similar issues need โค๏ธ

as long as the gear have a slot then you can apply gem via smithing table
and later in game you can also make specific tables to add sockets to weapons and even affixes.
idk which MMC you play but the cap on MMC5 is 4 slots and you can only obtain those from reforging table by rng
I yesterday killed my self and I dont know how. I got damage ticks even though I didnt had any weapon in my hand.
And my friend died multiple times but we dont know from where because it only says "killed by someone"
so I don't know if this will be the case for you but it was for me, I was just negligent and had thorns rings on, when I read them closer it said on hit YOU take x thorns damage
when I first saw the ring I thought, "oh ok enemies take damage when they hit me, it said thorns"
so I was taking 2-3 damage whenever I hit anything
I thought I was trading hits initially but then it happened on a creeper
I also got the death message your friend got once, when the thorns killed me
maybe just do a check to see if you have thorns damage anywhere on your gear because it seems to be you hit yourself when you do damage lol

imo the best origin is sun demigod, blacksmith, Hephaestus
I forget what it's actually called but the sun demigod gets bonus total dmg % with the tradeoff bein takin more damage, and if you don't disable it, only bein able to eat golden foods.
Blacksmith gets bonus stats on the armour, weapons, and tools they craft
And Hephaestus deals % hp damage, buffed by killing end dragon
iirc it's 4% buffed to 10%

I constantly encounter the issue that when I play, I am kicked out of the world, but the game does not crash. It says that a clock error has been detected. This happens on a regular basis, making it practically impossible to play.

You can either wait for the dev, who will understand better what's happening, or remove the mod c2me and create a new world without it to see if that makes a difference.

How come this modpack runs better with a server than when I play single player?
does anyone have a problem with holding an item and trying to use it and it actually uses the item in your first slot on the hotbar? like i have a weapon in the first slot and i am trying to place blocks and sometimes it doesnt place the blocks and other players in my server tell me that the item i am holding is actually the one i have in the first slot. its sort of a weird hotbar desync bug
It looks like the crash is probably a Journeymap bug, try disabling it
there are also a lot of errors about a minecolonies NPC holding a malformed enchanted book though

Because minecolonists usually refuse to use gear that has no durability
They equip gear based on their building tier and the durability of items

maybe I should've word it better, what am trying to say is in MMC5 you can get your 4th socket slot by reforging a few times to hopefully unlock it because you can't manually get 4th slot with a sigil

You can apply the Eternal Stella to Apotheosis items without problem. You can even apply it to enchanted items as long as they have neither unbreaking nor mending on it. Unbreaking and Mending can only be applied after the Eternal Stella, though are rather useless since the item is unbreakable at that point. It can only be useful when you have perks in your skill tree that depend on the number of enchantments on an item.

tested in a new profile with no modifications, if someone could look into this i'd appreciate it
anyone have any tips for scaling ars damage, have a t2 spellbook with enchanted armor(mana boost2-3/prot/etc) and source potency 1 but only doing around 15 damage to 115 HP mobs, I'm guessing the magic skill point tree is leveled through and only scales with iron's spellbooks

that we can only use Eternal Stella to repair 85% of all weapons and gear in the modpack is a shame.
Usually unbreaking + mending is fully enough to repair items. Eternal Stella is only for items with little durability or that you definitely don't want to break (like your armor).
here comes the problem, mending uses exp, at level 60 it gets hard to get enough exp to buy new points AND ti unlock new skills in the passive skill tree.
because most exp comes from killing wehat also damages your gear and weapons
Silk touch a spawner, build a mob grinder (so that mobs get pushed into one spot without being able to hit you), enchant a weapon with Knowledge of the Ages and you will get hundreds of levels within a minute :)
You don't need to stand there all day, at that point five hits on the mobs is enough to repair your entire gear. Then you can go back adventuring.
there is a simple fix to all this , a XpEtrified Orbs rezipe that uses xp and ender eye to make XpEtrified Orbs yourself
I've read something about a black hole that creates Xpetrified orbs. Haven't tested it, but if it works there already is a way to craft them.
Although it's probably easier to craft xp bottles for what it's worth. You can make those from honey bottles.

Ars is more of a utility magic mod, I don't think it can really compete with Iron's when it comes to dealing damage.

You can trade with Librarian villagers, find it on random gear in loot chests or get it from the enchanting table when you have a Shelf of Arcane Treasures in your setup.

I've never made a black hole, but from what I've read it can collect all xp on the ground. So if you place a spawner above and slaughter some mobs it should pick up the xp and turn it into orbs or smth.

```This seems to happen when I get the notification that I've used 90% of ram. I know that I can download and use a different launcher, but is there anything else I can do? I've also tried to use the guide that was suggested but I'm not sure if that changed anything. Even when I used Presence Footsteps, the issue still occurred. I've also ran into the issue of not being able to use the smoker and furnace upgrade for the backpack and when I was making a campfire, the recipe that used to require coal was removed and is now replaced with nether rack. The strange thing is, when I play the game on a server, the game works fine, but on single player, it's more laggy. Sorry about dumping all of my problems on here.
Btw it takes a few minutes after the notification for the game to start lagging insanely and then I have to close it and restart again.

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.

In my experience all mobs from Minecolonies drop loot bags frequently (ender and dungeon loot bags most commonly, smelter bags less commonly).
I can't comment on Hippogryphs (don't remember seeing them but I also didn't pay particular attention to them), but dragon caves certainly exist. It's easier to find them with a Spectral Eye amulet or Aurora Glowing on your pickaxe.
I saw Barbarians and Amazons drop a lot of bags basically every kill, but idk if they can drop smelter too
I think they do, yeah. There are spawners in those locations, so if you stay a while you should find out soon. If not I'll check what other mobs drop them next time I'm online.

I don't think there is a limit, but the augmenting table exists, too.
I thought maybe something like the enchanting method. That you will loose enchanting points and at some point you cant add any enchantment or in this case you cant reforge it.

It's the only creature of Ice and Fire mod that is failing
It's possible that the spawn weight is just too low to spawn among all the other mobs in the modpack. Trolls have a spawn weight of 40, cockatrices of 4 and hippogryphs of 2. Maybe increase the spawn weight of hippogryphs to 10 or so and see if you can find one more easily then.

The more skill points you put into your skill tree the higher level and stronger mobs are (and in dimensions other than the overworld they are even stronger). Armor only really helps against mobs when it is enchanted and reforged with Apotheosis.

I don't know why the vanilla recipe for campfires changed, but you can also use the Survive recipe, which has... nothing... in the middle.
And the furnace upgrade works just fine for me. v37 HF
Right. Well when I make the standard survive recipe for that campfire, it makes it, but it's not lit, and I tried using flint and steel and it wouldn't light the fire. The issue I have with the furnace the smoker is when I try to cook food. I would put coal in the bottom and food on top and it just wouldn't cook

Hm yeah, the Survive campfire can't be lit for some reason. I couldn't even find documentation that Survive adds its own campfire, so I'm not sure where it actually comes from.

Just meat, I did exactly what you did and it just wouldn't cook. Previously before the patches the menu for both would be blank and I would have to guess where to put the food and coal in. Then suddenly the menu for them appeared and I put the items in again and it wouldn't cook
I even made sure that the settings were on correctly and still no cooking. The other bug I ran into was that when I tried to switch from the white sheets to a sleeping bag when crafting the item, I could click on the sleeping bag, but it wouldn't switch to the sleeping bag
Next time you're ingame, try it again and if it doesn't work, send a screenshot similar to the one I sent. Which launcher are you using?

The ghost that spawns when you open the chest can drop it as well.

Apparently what you have to do is place logs on it (although they don't show up)
And then you can light it with a Flint and Steel or other fire source
And then you can place items on it to cook them (although the items don't appear on the campfire again)

It's strange, after it crashes. I have to completely restart the game, like when I try to get back in, it doesn't load, or it says it's loading, but it takes too long
It's odd, since the log doesn't have anything that could help identify the issue (normally if you see errors they should also be in logs). Can you try using ATLauncher instead (to eliminate Curseforge's weirdness as the cause)

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

After the message comes up, it takes a few minutes or so, my game gets super laggy and then I have to leave because I cannot move or do anything without extreme lag spikes, then I completely exit the game, the log in again and the problem is gone temporarily

me and my wife get them too , here is how you make them less annoiing , go to forge, there is a setting you can change how much RAM minecraft should use, set it over 12GB and for the modpack set sim,ulation range to 10 chunks.
this reduces this memory leak thing to one massage after 8 hours of play.
the real reason are mods in the modpack that are not compatible or have some bugs in them, its hard to find them all because of complexity
I have done that actually, I have 32 gb of ram and the issue still persisted. Still trying to look up what causes these kinds of issues since it seems like I'm not the only one who has this weird lagging issue, I will double check my simulation distance and if it's more than 10 then I will set it to 10. The thing is, I do remember having my viewing distance's and such lowered since I know that the more you have the more the game has to load so I keep it low for that reason.

There's also laptops with physical GPUs (I am typing on one right now), but alright :) The only idea I have is trying a different driver version then. This post is about Intel Arc GPUs, which are the dedicated versions of your Intel Xe, so maybe the solution is the same:

I also have a problem with my Server. A friend used a spell from irons and spellbooks and it crashed the server and now I cant start the server as I dont have any backup because the Serverprovider has problems with it currently.

Hello ! I'm playing with Medieval MC Forge in 1.20.1 in multiplayer. And we have a problem. Player names are note visible correctly on our map. We only see one player at a time. Do you know how to fix this ?

Neruina isn't causing the crash, Neruina is a mod that kicks you when something is ticking so that not the entire game crashes. By removing Neruina, you only remove the barrier and it will crash instead. The ticking entity (likely you, the player) is caused by something else, and for that we need the log.

The number of attributes, affixes and sockets can only be increased by reforging (apart from the sigil of socketing, which can increase sockets to 3).
Whether an item can have more than 3 sockets depends on the modpack version and the item rarity, in v37 HF of MMC4, an item of Ancient or Artifact rarity can have 4 sockets, Heirloom and Esoteric can have 5 sockets.
The sigil of socketing can only add two sockets for me ๐
So the best way then would be reforging till you get a good amount of attributrs and bonus on the base values of the item and then augment it till you have all the attributes you want?

You can make a backup of your world-save (just in case), then go into the save, into \serverconfig, open the forge-server.toml file and set the line
removeErroringEntities = false to true
That way the glow squid should get removed next time you join the world.
It is recommended to set the config back to false afterwards though.

I couldn't get the void upgrade to do anything, I've had it like this for a few days and I just kept picking up those leveling potions
It only voids the items that go into the backpack, not anything that goes into you inventory.

So with the hopper it works just like that, when you have it on your back you need to combine it with a pickup upgrade.
Shift clicking and manually putting items into the backpack won't trigger the filter.
Instead you use a pickup upgrade and set it to "match content", have one item you want to void in the backpack (in this case the bookshelf), and then pickup upgrade collects all the bookshelves you pick up from the floor directly into the backpack where they get voided by the void filter.

I think mclogs cuts off after 25k lines. Since there are 13k lines in your log about enchanted books, it seems the Neruina part is missing. Can you either send a file with the Neruina part or simply delete the 13,000 lines about enchanted books from that latest.log file and then upload it again?

Open your latest.log, press Ctrl+F and search for "Neruina". Check the last instance of its appearance in the file, then scroll a bit up to where the error begins and copy that part in a .txt file to send here. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I don't know how else to be able to read that part.

Yes, there were times when it didn't even take a minute before I was thrown out.
A minute would be enough to unequip your relics, but if you get kicked instantly I'd have to use NBT magic. Do you want to try to see whether you can unequip yourself first?
It's hard to say, but it often happened that I was kicked out before I even had time to open my inventory.

So it seems like the cause of these crashes is memory leaks. I have tried to change coding via CurseForge. I am running out of idea's on what to do.
I might actually have to stop playing this modpack because this is really frustrating and I cannot find a fix for this. I want to progress and beat the game but this issue isn't letting me progress.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
I have followed guides and taken advice from other people, which is greatly appreciated. But if ATL isn't even working for some people, it won't work for me most likely as the issue seems to only occur when progressing in the game

ATLauncher is recommended because it's more stable than Curseforge launcher. As part of troubleshooting - eliminating common issues is the first thing to do, to minimize the amount of variables to diagnose
Moving to ATL might not fix the issue - but it makes it easier for us to provide further help
Am I able to send a copy of my world over there? Then I can just delete the launcher and use CurseForge?
It's the other way arround - you copy the world from Curseforge to ATLauncher, and then you no longer need the Curseforge app.

Could I move it back once the issue may be resolved? The only reason I ask is because I have other modpacks that use forge and I don't want to have to migrate all of them to ATL since there are a couple I play with friends.
My suggestion is to do that migration once, and just use ATLauncher for other packs

Historically ATLauncher had less issues, but those Prism ones were only temp ones, while in Curseforge app there is a lot of bloat due to changing owners/history

The crash was on MMC5, yes. It might just be one particular relic though, or a relic in combination with a particular spell or other item, so I don't think everyone on MMC5 needs to avoid all relics now. I've seen that kind of crash only 2-3 times so far.
in my experience I tend to avoid combining defensive relic with offensive one cause that does the crash for me
esp with the ars reliquary stuff

oh very easy, if you can get the thunder spell from ars it'll make things much easier
as for iron spell I don't think any actually charges the ground with lighting strike

In vanilla the Looting effect is applied when the mob dies from your weapon, depending on which weapon you have in your main hand.
If you shoot the arrow from your bow, and quickly switch to sword - it should apply sword's looting when the mob dies.

With the augmenting table you can reroll the stat itself and also increase the value of the stats. The only thing you cannot do is increase the number of stats.
yes thats what I thought. I just looked over it again and my idea is to reforge it to get the following base stats:
all those stats are made for placeholder ->
.) attack speed increase
.) attack damag increase
.) interaction range (not really high priority)
and at least 3 affixes (I dont mind what affixes because rerolling in the augmenting table later)
dont mind those bad enchantments (I made some mistakes and also learned some new stuff, thats also why I make a new blade)
but something similar with attack damage and attack speed
It is the most stupid gem upgrade that exists in Apotheosis. Period.
Except maybe some of the gravity ones
at least when I look through all others it makes not much sense to use it when you only get 2 damage when all other gems give you at least 8 damage

yeah they think it must be good when I get it recommended as an enchantment but overall its just a little addon for your weapon. Your main damage is just the affixes + main stats + gems on your weapon + effects + your bonuses from your armor

Different stat, but both increase crit damage.
I like my current sword but it has a good chunk of improvement (currently at 17 attacks per scond). So overall a dps of 1500-1900 :D

I never removed it. All i did was updated through curseforge i changed nothing at all.

Adding back bettercombat wouldn't cause 12 changes. Did you do anything else besides adding the 1 modfile to your \mods folder?
I've been dealing with something similar I think, I've been trying to add cobblemon to the modpack and my worlds dont load, even if i make a new one
the launcher loads, the game loads, but as soon as I click into a world it just stops

If the modpack still worked with those mods you can press "OK". If it doesn't launch, send the latest.log as well.

In your modpack directory is a \logs folder, at the bottom of which is a file called latest.log. Just drop it in here.

It looks like cobblemon failed to load due to a conflict with the Shoulder Surfing mod. You could try to launch without Shoulder Surfing or ask in the #medieval-mc-fabric channel if there is another solution.
