i installed contuinity mod but still its like this
As far as I know Continuity doesn't change textures, it only allows resource packs to add connected textures (like Optifine would do). I can see connected textures for carpets and tinted/black/white glass in the Excalibur resource pack, but not for normal glass.

I guess? At least there are files for tinted glass in the "optifine" section of the Exaclibur resource pack (which is where the connected carpet textures are as well).

You can add that Continuity one for connected textures, but I wouldn't touch any of the other resource packs. Even changing the default order can make quite a mess.

You can move the enchantments onto a book with a tome of scrapping (saving half the enchantments), tome of superior scrapping (saving all enchantments) or tome of extraction (saving all enchantments and also keeps the item).
Yes. You can influence it by enchanting random stuff (like wooden shovels).

Just enchant wooden shovels until you get the desired enchantments on the tome of scrapping.
It's not too hard to get the superior scrapping, you just need Hellshelves/Seashelves and an xp farm (and a few other things like mob heads and candles)

ah, thanks alot, honestly kept getting screwed over when a structure regens near another and it just deletes all the chests, or just regen'ing and makes all the enemies respawn around you
The dev mentioned before that he considers turning this automatic regeneration off again [[here](#medieval-mc-forge message)], so hopefully that won't be a problem after the next update. If you're playing alone then you don't need it anyway though, so you won't miss anything by turning it off manually now.

Based on cHin's tests, "blocking" doesn't actually do anything because of the shield-mod.
At least, I assume it's the shield mod. Not actually sure about the true cause but the point is, blocking does nothing

I added the unused attributes to the hide list in the config, then fixed a few translation errors and reloaded, and it hid the unused attributes without me even having to restart the game
Config files are loaded upon entering a world, not upon modpack-launch. Quite useful for changing configs.
I didn't even re-enter the world, I just used F3 + T

So far I'm not successful either. But they also don't charge at me, they just ignore me. If they charge at you, try throwing the cake in their faces.
@plucky drift Okay, I got it to work by beeing a bit cheesy. I dropped a cake on the floor and then picked up a pixie with CarryOn (shift+right click) to release it right on top of the dropped cake. That actually worked.
If you can't reach it to pick it up, there are a couple of ways to gain flight, like potions of Flying, Orb of Temporary Flight or even using Elytra.
Or Angel Wings spell.

Wissen is a resource used for crafting and stuff in Wizard's Reborn. A Wissen discount is like an Experience discount in enchanting.
So a Wissen Discount would basically reduce the amount of wissen needed to cast spells?
The mod has its own crafting table and some other crafting mechanics that require Wissen to craft and produce stuff. That's where the discount would play a role. Basically a cost reduction in crafting.

I think Chemical X just allows turning some mobs into mutant versions
I don't know if this works on modded mobs, but if there is no mutant version, Chemical X should insta-kill a mob.

It looks like the Sunrise ability doesn't merely skip a night but it sets the game time to the beginning. When you do /time query day after using it, it says 0. And since a new world always starts in Early Spring, it will set the season to Early Spring. Can't tell you what 9/16 means though, I would've expected 1/24 there.

Btw, Alshanex Familiars mod is pretty much broken.
Can't bind any, so I wanted to at least bring one home and nametag him for later once that fixed, but when I released it from the Familiar Tome, it simply vanished.
So anything that's supposed to "store" a familiar doesn't seem to work.

I'll most likely add Blocking as an affix for shields, and Evasion will probably replace that dodge attribute for Curios
I like Evasion because you can have as much of it as you can get and you don't have to worry about the player having so much that they are invulnerable

Copy/paste your \saves folder. Might mess a bit up if there are different world gen mods though.

There is so much wrong with Blocking
First, it works regardless of the direction of the mob
Like with regular shields, you have to be facing the direction of the mob to block the attack
Here it'll work regardless of where the mob is attacking from
Secondly, it'll ignore any cooldowns from mobs that disable shield
So if a mob like a Piglin Brute attacks you and triggers the blocking, it won't put the shield on cooldown
Combine this with regular shield blocking and it can actually trigger cooldowns on other items (such as the Steak here)
And finally, if you have a shield with immense durability (or just an unbreakable shield), Blocking literally just basically becomes Evasion but for shields
The first thing kinda makes sense though. When you actively block it should only block the direction you're using it in, but here it's a passive block (think of it as someone carrying his shield on the back while not using it for example, the idea is the some attacks will randomly hit that protected area, and that's not necessarily the direction he is facing).
The only real thing that it does seemingly do is that if the attack source comes from a piercing arrow (from a crossbow with Piercing), it will properly ignore the shield and deal damage regardless
Or if the damage source bypasses armor (so magic or Warden sonic boom)
But yeah, if you have 65.46% Dodge Chance (the max you can get with my changes), 90 Evasion and 90 Blocking, then only 4.12% or about 1 in 24 hits will actually hit
With my maxed skill tree I have 21 blocking and 6.5 evasion. You'd have to sacrifice a lot of other things to actually get 90 of both. That is, if you don't add them as affixes.
Well a big thing with the skill tree is that you can get skills that give extra stats to crafted items, reset your skill tree and then get the actually good stats
I'm not sure off the top of my head if it got changed in MMC4 but there is this string of 7 nodes that give extra Evasion to crafted armor, so that's +28 Evasion
Perhaps, but the actual good armor doesn't count as crafted - because upgrading with the smithing table is apparently not recognized.

Yeah, I am using Cursed Wraithguard armor (which isn't recognized), and the Battlemage armor is crafted in the crafting table, then put in the smithing table.

No it's only after you unlock it that crafted gear gets the extra attributes

Craft a simple reforging table and salvage higher tier items (preferably rare or epic) and then use those resource to attach affixes to your Diamond gear

As far as I know it's an internal bug with Ice and Fire, whose dev knows about it and hopefully fixes it soon. You might wanna tell the players on your server to avoid those black dreadstone structures in snowy biomes.

guys my friend keeps tryna join my game and it worked yesterday but now it wont. It lets him join sometimes but wont let him break blocks or nothing- on survival mode. Then itll kick him anyone know how to help?
Sounds like a bad internet connection. But without logs that's hard to say for sure.
What are folks using with the apotheosis spawner to create mob farms? Other packs I'd use things like vector plates or mob farming util farms... or conveyors.

Hey all, I'm running MMC4 1.20.1 on a hosted server and somehow the jump height is lower than it should be for everyone in the server, as in some of us without buffs can't even clear one block. Haven't changed anything in the configs that would relate to jump height, only mob spawning rates and autoleveling stuff. Anyone have any ideas?

hi, has anyone encountered all of their chests dissappearing randomly? I made my base in one of the merchant caravan locations and it seemed like the location updated and made new blocks appear and all of my chests dissapear. any fixes to get them back/ make sure this doesnt happen again?
Doesn't seem like it's that, after restarting the server and getting /lunar commands to work, changing the moon cycle hasn't fixed it, something else seems to be affecting gravity unless somehow one of the moon cycles is still active during another somehow
The good news is that every structure only regenerates once per player, so it shouldn't happen again with the same location.
The bad news is that, unless you made a backup prior to the mishap, there is no way to get the chests back.
If you want to prevent such incidents from happening in the future, you can go to your \config folder, open the medieval.json5 file and set the line
"enableAutoRegeneration": true
to false
You can also claim chunks, which prevents any structure inside from being regenerated.

Hey all, any tricks for fixing mobs/other players not being able to jump 1 high blocks? It kind of happened all of the sudden. I can and im hosting the world but nothing else can jump over blocks now
currently only adds blood spells but its very needed since blood lacks a lot by itself
also due to ice and fire bug where it crashes when going near those doomed boxes

I got a weird thing happening. Encountered a Siren, which was near a village on the ocean. the guards there killed it before I could, but I got that pink overlay from the siren, and now it wont go away. I confirmed the siren was killed when I picked up the shiny scales, I've also tried going to another dimension, killed another Siren, and reloaded shaders, but everything is still pink. anyone encounter this?

I ended up removing the mod altogether, launched the game and it was back to normal. then saved and quit, closed it all out, put the mod back in and launched it and its still good. lost items but its fine
So I've traveled around and been to like 2-3 graveyards and a haunted house, I've been trying to find the three pieces of the staff for the graveyard mod to summon the corrupted champion, but i can't seem to find them. I've even tried to trade with the hanged man at the dead tree but no dice, am I missing something? Am I looking in the wrong locations? Is the item bugged or??

Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> βOpen Folderβ.
- ATLauncher -> Click βOpen Folderβ on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click βFolderβ on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.

mostly minecraft version. mmc5 is on neoforge, we're no longer using forge as a modloader for all projects from 1.21 and on. For what the modpack is like you should read the curseforge page on it, or maybe watch some playthroughs on it

in the beginning I update all the mods in the modpack ( I had a problem with some '' tick ' thing, I dont remember exactly the name but essentialy when I died I lost all inventory items ) then I had to update the Fabric API to a newer version ( with some search I figured it out I think ) and then it crashes.

Yes, there are different "versions" of that structure. Some have 3 prisoners outside, some none at all. It's best to keep the untranslated book in your backpack until you come across one with the wandering trader. I think it was my third structure of that kind.

i did have insane lag issues when it came to starbuncles trying to put items into full storages (my source farm) but idk if thats the cause of all these issues

does this pack run relatively well on average computers? tryna play it with my friend and their pc is not very GREAT but it runs stuff "fine"
As long as your friend's PC has 16 GB of RAM so that 8 of those can be allocated to the game, it should run fine. I've heard that the 1.21.1 version (MMC5) is less heavy than the 1.20.1 version (MMC4), in case you haven't decided between those two yet.
In my experience I've actually found MMC4 less heavy than MMC5
But yeah RAM is probably the biggest one

In my experience, 1.21 has some of the best mods to date and best customizability, but I think the transition from Forge to Neoforge also ended a lot of mods right on 1.20.1. Ice and Fire is only running on a fork now, Alex's Mobs and Caves are gone (although apparently a port might be starting soon?), Better End, despite being a fabric mod is seemingly dead as it's stuck on a very buggy alpha version, and no Origins or Passive Skill Tree too. Also dev wise I found it very hard (and nearly impossible) to be able to modify the stats of gear in modpacks.
And then there's 1.12.2 which probably has the best variety of mods but also incredibly tedious in my experience to try and work with
I thought the whole point of switching from Forge to Neoforge was improved performance. So I'm a little surprised that it not only misses great mods now but also doesn't actually perform better?

Mhm, same. It only bothers me when it's actually too much for my PC to handle XD When I installed MMC4 I thought maybe it's too much, but while it takes more RAM than MMC1 it still runs smoothly. I don't think my laptop could handle much more than this though.

I had 6 on it, which I know can be a bit much for 8gb total but yeah
Oh dear, okay. I'm surprised that even worked. Mine's using 6 GB within 30 min or so, and the Java process itself isn't even included in the allocation.
I have 6 on MMC4 too and it's good enough to get through
I do unfortunately suffer from sticky keys occasionally but it's not really enough to stop me from at least getting an actual feel of the modpack (I just have Keep Inventory on to cover for it, I'm playing more for research for all my changes) and playtesting all my changes and the new Esoteric bosses

My game keeps crashing and I have been waiting and for quite a while now and no one has helped me so can someone please help me
All the errors I see seem to be related to parallel processing. I'm no expert, but if nobody has a better idea I'd suggest to remove the mod C2ME and launch without it (it's only a multithread-mod, won't remove items or mess up the world gen).
So I remove that and it fixes?

I don't know if it fixes it, but at the very least the crash log should look different then when the mod that's now mentioned everywhere isn't present anymore.

Are you using shaders?
Check in your options if shaders are enabled. If yes, turn them off, go to the main screen (aka disconnect), turn shaders on there and then connect again.

known bug in ice&fire. Options:
- Wait for the pack to update.
- Disable the pink effect in configs.
- Edit your player file with nbtedit to removed the charmed entries.
hello, was wondering if there was a way to turn off structure regeneration? Me and my friend are playing and we'd like to settle near an already generated structure, but everytime we leave the chunk and return our placed blocks and items are gone and all the mobs are back. This already cost us all our stuff once and I was hoping there was a way to avoid it? thanks!
Does create lag?
You can disable it [this](#medieval-mc-forge message) way. Structures should only regenerate once per player though, not every time you load the chunk. You could also claim chunks, which prevents regeneration for all structures inside.
I've found quite a few dragon caves underground. v35 of MMC4.
Yeah you just need to be in the right layers and biomes
It also helps to use ground-penetrating radar π (The Spectral Eye amulet)
Now I found some dragons.. one was direcly under my base... That journeymap is so bad at showing those dragon caves that it is suddenly actual cartography investigation.

You can either replace the IceandFireCE mod in your \mods folder with the latest version, or disable the Siren-shader in the IceandFire config.
I can't imagine that many people prioritized blocking anyways over all the other skills available
Blocking on shields is certainly an affix that I can add for the common rarities so hopefully this can help some

Okay, hm. Could you please go to your \mods folder and check which IceandFire version you're currently using?
Ah okay. IceAndFire released 3 fixes within the past week, there were two more fixes after this one. I think the latest version should've fixed the pink as well. Replace yours both on the server and on the client with this one:
