Hi all! Apologies if this isn't a new issue, or I'm missing a setting somewhere, but I've been unable to find anything similar that was answered in a search.

I have just started a new self hosted server, and we've noticed that players can only see certain other player on JourneyMap, and not all players. It appears to be random, and no restarts of client or server seems to fix it.

depends on what you want to do, but phantom is very powerful if you find a good source of food such as the infinity ham. Valkyrie is also good due to the higher spear damage and flight. best way to deal with the undead weakness is to find an undead spawner and start a massacre

so I'm playing mmc4 v27 and I am getting extreme lag when looking at a large number of blocks in the aether with shaders on. I suspect the reason is because none of the block faces are being culled, because when I phase through blocks with phantom I can only see the inside of the block.

turning off shaders greatly reduces the lag but it is still there. what can I do about this (if anything)

Good question. Shaders are usually good for beefy PCs.
It's possible the Aether has a lot of floating islands and open void, so the game needs to throw a lot of rendering as a result of the Shaders' instructions.

1. You can get the vein miner enchantment. (But I don't know if it's only certain blocks or not).
2. Get Apotheosis affixes on your tools. Sometimes they come with the ability to mine blocks in a x•y area. Believe best is 7x7 with perfect Ancient roll.

It's worse than I thought. I'm like 99% sure that the reason of the lag is because everything is UV mapped for the models. Instead of just using block/cube_all, it's rendering and graphing every block seperately. Just go into spectator mode on a creative world and you'll immediately notice that something's wrong when flying into the Aether islands compared to every other dimension.

And I think it's because the resource pack author used the Blockbench block creator interface for all the blocks, instead of just changing the base textures with an image editor and leaving the majority of the texture models be.

It should be fixable but all the model files for most of the blocks would need to get changed via another resource pack.

Bumblezone or villagers.

Villagers is quite easy. Get one villager through enchanted basin, if you get ir to master, you can exchange 1 poisonous potato for 10 emeralds. If you have a potato farm, that quickly becomes an easy emerald farm. They also buy soul sand and soul soil.

Yes. Enchanted Basin is just a modded villager station. A very good one.

Poisonous Potato are craftable btw.

Crafting Table -> Poisonous in middle and surround by normal potatos.

Also, the Nether is a great place for making your future mob farms.

Find a Stalwart Dungeon with Incomplete Withers.
Its a total of 8 spawners per dungeon. Bring some redstone comparators along, right click the spawners with those and they are now controlable through redstone. They are deactivated until you activate them.

Now, you just get close to them. Crouch and Right click to pick them up. Have to be within a 2 block height of them. +1 or -1 of spawner as your standing block.

Adding or removing, isn't that much of an issue. Just that modpack devs can't help you if anything goes wrong. So you'd have to figure stuff out yourself.

A chunk-pregen mod, gives you a set of commands and is something you can do while being afk. It pregenerates chunks in a specific chunk radius. You decide how far it goes.

amplification and free are from enchanting items from apotheosis. it can give you much higher enchants

with the weapon in hand you also have a chance to hit harder with the amp chance

so like a loot pinata if you have looting on your sword, it has a chance to amp and give you more loots or sharpness it will hit harder

pretty sure its just for enchanting and getting better enchants if you dont have a book you want. ya know?
