mixed feelings of both salt but also satisfaction/surprise at finding a genuinely challenging mob that i've had to dodge and weave around and anticipate it's attacks and coming to discover i'm not at the strength i need to defeat it

Lol, typically 6-8 is plenty. But, in my case game refused to play without me doing over 11gb. So, let's say I forced it to run with 7-8 when I use 9.6, maybe 10gbs during normal gameplay times would it hurt performance. Unless it's just one of those things that will use the ram you give it?

I tried using another launcher, which seemed to be unable to download the resourcepacks( and possibly something else), I successfully entered a world created on v16.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

Is there any way to make a certain mob spawn less frequently, or just remove it entirely from the mod pack?

you can stop them from spawning in the bad mobs config and to make them spawn less frequently you would have to go to the config of the mod that adds that mod and turn down the weighting. Some mods dont allow you to change the weighting though.

Heya, some friends tried to start a medieval MC server, we're all on 1.19.2 and for some reason I'm the only one who can't connect to our server, this is what I'm getting but I can't find any sure answer on whats causing this

For cold, I recommend insulating your armor with mammoth or polar bear fur in a smithing table, for heat, I don't think there are really any effective ways, the ice pack item is supposed to cool you off, but it barely works at all and isn't really worth it.

The only solution to heat that it lists is to craft leaf armor, which has armor values of 1 which makes it utterly useless

I like the idea of TaS, but I'm just about at the point of removing it from the modpack for my sanity's sake. The only real solution to heat I've found is to always be within like 100 blocks of water to jump into, which will give you like 1-2 minutes of respite.

The only way that I know of is leaf armour, but it has terrible stats and it just won't work.

Just disable the heat in tough as nails or remove the mod, it sucks without armor underwear.

Simple Storage Networks allow for infinitely expandable storage that can be accessed from any dimension, at any distance. To set one up, you'll first need a Network Root and Request Table. Rubidium (Disables the rest of the other mods like Oculus etc) - If you get Iris crash on startup
Kontrete (Disables the rest of the other mods) - If you get Keks mods crash on startup
Visuality - If you get Visuality crash on startup
ImmediatelyFast - If you get IF crash on startup
ModernFix - If you get ModernFix/Canary crash on startup
Best is to disable all these if you get the Iris/ModernFix startup crash

Yeah, sounds about right. Reading enchants can be pretty important. Reckless takes 60% of your hp but also gives str III in return, when you have Reckless III

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.
