Hey im thinking of starting a new playthrough of the 1.16.5 version of the modpack. My last playthrough got cut short because i couldnt find a nether fortress anywhere so i could progress.

AYOOOOOOOOO so in the fabricc version the fortresses are the classic netherbrick structure with the long ramps and tall pylons, in the forge version they look like black polished stone buildings more like bastions

I figured it out, Illuminations was causing the issue and it wasn't on the right version of forge

Simple Storage Networks allow for infinitely expandable storage that can be accessed from any dimension, at any distance. To set one up, you'll first need a Network Root and Request Table. Hey ya'll, trying to launch my server through the Run.bat instead of the PS1 file. I've run into what seems to be a common problem with the quark mod. My server gets stuck on "[quark/]: Dispatching Module Step CONSTRUCT" Is there a known fix for this yet?

When I say known issue, I say I googled it before I came here and I've seen multiple instances of this exact problem but nothing for Medieval craft. People say it's other mods etc.

Because even when I ran it with the PowerShell it would crash each time, I'm using WIN 10, I could not get it to run with PowerShell, I could with the ISE but if I used ISE I couldn't run console commands. So Run.bat is my only known working fix atm.

Best ore for what?

Like… iron isn’t the best ore for making gold armor but gold isn’t the best for making iron armor but are both the best for making their corresponding armors.

Netherite is probably the best ore for armor and weapons… you find it in the nether best on y15 as ancient debris and then combine it with gold to make netherite ingots (recipe in JEI)

Although there are better armors and weapons in the pack.

Yeah so netherite but consider making an ars nouveau spellbook. It comes with the break glyph which you can use to make a ranged break spell that is already iron level but never runs out of durability. Add an amplify rune to that spell and it will instantly break any breakable block in the pack (including spawners which you can pickup if you add a extract rune on the end once you get the second tier spell book)

Also you can get the mage light glyph which lets you place lights at a distance with the range/magelight spell. You never have to carry torches again.

Also mage block seems lame because the blocks disappear after a while… unless you use an amplify rune… in which case it becomes a way to place blocks at a distance and never run out of blocks ever again.

Plus you can change the color of the blocks it places which is nifty.

You make new glyphs by creating a spell table and right clicking it with your mage book. You have to have enough levels to create the glyph (usually 3 for tier one, 5 for tier two) and then you just toss the items for the glyph on the table. It will also take them out of any container for you that is nearby. You then right click with the glyph in hand and you never need to learn it again.

It should still work. The crash happens because for whatever reason, your world does not like a lightning dragon in the spot that spawns most likely. If you load up a new world then it is possible that a lightning dragon could spawn and that world would be fine. It's also possible that fresh installing the modpack would help with that. Lightning dragon entity might be causing the crash (that specific one btw or something happening with the world), but that isn't really all the details as to the reasons why as far as the super technical stuff, if that makes sense.

Like, a lightning dragon is not going to crash everyone's world and most likely won't crash all your worlds. Or even all your worlds in the future. It is best to report this type of stuff on the ice and fire mod github.

You should already be familiar with Ice and Fire dragons.

Learning Apotheosis mod would be useful.
