I was hosting a server with my one friend and he ended up dying, not being able to respawn. It kept him in a soft-lock state. He played as a blazerborn, fell from a die place. Respawned once, randomly died again and then was unable to move/respawn. He was also able to punch himself in almost like a third person view.

Here is the server log, incase it is needed. Whenever I died I was okay, I was playing as feline.

I got a question that many have probably asked, but, how does one allocate more ram with the 1.16.5 server pack?
I have tried both user the start.p1 and a user_jvm_args but neither seem to work.

I have tried completely removing the quotes commenting the Xmx line, tried removing the # that the help file tells me too but that doesnt completely uncomment it, really. So Im just very confused.

And yes before anyone asks the mundane questions my server is ran on a seperate gaming laptop with an i7 and 16GB. It's capable.

And its largely confusing when they dont seem to work and when staff seem to give conflicted advice.

i read people unable to find pegasus because in the config files its spawn chance is set to 0

if your config is also set to 0 you can change it to 11 or higher and set whitelist to true

i have in general a while back, you should encourage using the args variables at the top of the script instead of uncommenting lines. its significantly simpler and a lot easier to do since its right up at the top

i think that exactly is the problem

the pc is running OOM and saving data to the disk

hence why your disk space is filling up with junk that frees up when MC closes

this is the setting that's causing it

using a chunk of your disk as if it were your ram

so yeah, turn that down

6-8GB at most

Theres not a lot of help from the staff here and I keyword searched the discord and saw literally dozens of people get told to uncomment the lines in completely different ways, or them just going "Just uncomment it" "Uncomment it" when people are moreso wondering about the CORRECT way of doing so... Or multiple people asking if their code line was correct and they said yes to multiple ways. Without "'s, without #'s, without 'n

No stranger to editing a little line here or there with lots of things. Just confusing.

that issue occured because you had spaces in your file path

the script even warns against them

not exactly sure where, but either the download command or move command couldn't properly parse the filepath because of the spaces

leading to inconsistency
