In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine HD U G8 to the mods folder.
For 1.18.2 Forge: 1.18.2 comes with Oculus that gives you Shaders with 90% less load times. If you want to use Optifine then remove the Oculus, Rubidium and Dynamic Lights Mods then add Latest 1.18.2 OptiFine to the mods folder.

Optifine Issues are not Supported in the Github however it shouldn't be an issue asking in the Discord for help.

then right click it and Open Folder and put your world save into that saves folder instead

you shouldnt have any issues playing your current world on the correct version of the pack

If so, try with a single dash like:

java -version

sr/lib/jvm , this will remove jdk from your system
Now again install using sudo apt install default-jdk
Check command java-version, and it shows current installed version.
