Well that's because you need optifine for shaders, delete magnesium (and magnesium extras causes it's a waste of space) and dynamic lights reforged. Then place the optifine jar in the mods folder, and follow the normal process for OF and shaders

Before you can play BetterMinecraft v52 you need have to reset your server/world in order to play without any issues.
The Abyss II got a major Update which changes every single biome, world generation, Mob, Item, Block, Dimension and biome ID.
If you don't reset your world you'll corrupt the savegame/server and bosses, entities start to spawn in the overworld.
There is no workaround due to minecraft vanilla code and biome swaps. This also gives me the opportunity to make a lot of changes and fix a lot of issues that I couldn't do before.

So im not sure what causes it, or if its a setting i can disable, but i get a really annoying bug? So if I right click the trapdoors on the bottom, it also enables the trapdoors on the top. Right, for your client, edit the ram from the modpack application, the server has its ram allocated thru the run.bat (pre 1.18) or user_jvm_args (1.18)

We have guides on how to edit the client's ram in the #faq based off of which app you use (of the big 3)

Depending on order listed, it seems to conflict with one of the other texture packs in that I have multiple texture options showing in game for basic blocks like stone and course dirt etc. I don't want to lose the additional textures included but just want to leverage Faithful for the ones that it covers. Ight, assuming the correct ram is allocated, while loading with optifine, your load times will increase by quite a lot, when you click play, leave the game alone, don't alt tab or click out of it, just let it load, even if it goes into not responding

Mine just worked perfectly on a fresh install of the pack and 17.0.1

Yes, I just installed the latest fabric version, using java 17.0.1 not .2, and it worked. So, do what I said above
