The modpack comparison tool doesn't show the 1.17 version specifically but I guess 1.16.5 is closer to 1.17 in terms of mods available, than it is to 1.18

Yeah, the reason for not showing 1.17.1 specifically is because that page became the 1.18 then 1.18.1, instead of making a new one, it got the new release as if it was another version.

It's very difficult to actually do so especially when multiple or large modpacks are involved and even more so when updates are introduced constantly for all of them. oh just hit m and then look to the icons on the top left, then you should see an option to force load chunks and you can select upto 25 chunks to always be loaded even if you are in other dimensions or far away

The only reason I mentioned the server was because we have issues with certain mobs/map points, so we've experimented a little with different ways to reload the pack and see if it works. End up losing a lot of files some ways so I was just making a list of all the files things should have just in case any ever go missing.

hey, I just set up a BMC v52.5 Server and in 90% of the times it says "Connecting to the server..." when trying to connect, sometimes it works almost instantly. The issue happens on both my PC (localhost) and my Ubuntu Server. Vanilla Minecraft works just fine. Is there anything I can do about that?

Quite a bit, content is overall different for the most part as mods typically don't have versions for both mod loaders, less mods total (may say more but fabric has quite a bit of dependencies for mods), better performance, better ram requirements, shader system without the pain of optifine by having iris

and that usually is enough for most people

the resource pack creator has fixed the yak issue. You can download the resource pack from curseforge manually if you want to add it back manually now
