Theres actually a bunch of structures that generate, like dozens. Maybe youre just in an unlucky spot and or havent explored much, I cant speak for V22 but I'm pretty sure that still had quite a bit. Maybe update if you want more

On bedrock there is a deeper dark portal block that looks similar, you can find patches of it generating and break it to teleport to the dimension, It doesnt generate below Y=0 yet and the deep dark is just a dimension.

all you need to do is drag the 'optifine' jar u downloaded into each mod folder. curseforge stores ur game data seperately for different modpacks. just make sure to copy optifine into the mods folders if u want them. no you do not need optiforge.
