What sort of system do you guys use for navigating in the chasms/caves? In vanilla I have always used a system where I put torches on the right so it's easy to put them to the left to retrace by steps, but with the new generation being so organic this isn't possible.. Be sort of cool to have some way to spool out a rope behind me as I go, but prefer to hear suggestions that don't require more mods if possible

It's just part of a mod from the mod pack, you don't want to use it though because i'm pretty sure you wont get the terrain generation from the other mods. But you will still get the 1.17 world generation in the default world type such as lush caves etc

@frail wren you can pick up a spawner by holding shift and right clicking it. Make sure you have nothing in your hand or off hand. If you need more info on it, the mod is called Carry On. You can look at their mod website.

Either go searching for enchantments that have mending on it... and ripping those off using some form of way.. or Using a library villager and cycle tho the trades until you get a mending book than level him up to lower his prices..

This is absolutely true. When there's too much RAM allocated, the game will often crash while running it's own garbage collection.

Trial and error most likely. Although for some I think it's a wild guess.

I have found though, that if you have enough RAM on your computer you can generally allocate quite a bit. Just make sure not to allocate all of your RAM. I'd say up to 60% is the most I'd do.

I downloaded the modpack yesterday and I was really enjoying it however the game keeps crashing now. Im in a jungle and the game keeps freezing, I can move but other mobs do not, chunks do not load and it ends up in a crash with error code 0, I have 7000MB allocated, tried resarting my PC and downloading Optifine. If you can handle raids, I’d recommend trying them out. There’s a mob called the enchanter(maybe a different name) that drops mob enchant books, you can use them on yourself. They’re permanent buffs until you die. I have speed 3, strength 3, and protection 3 on top of all my other enchants.
