Pretty sure it’s cause of a datapack. Me and my friends had a server where in the nether there was a few new biome one of which being covered in green or purple stained glass that’s spawned slimes that would poison you when they attack

Yes you have to download that .jar file and put it in the folder and rename it for it to read it, usually packs don't come with the jar file but it tells you which version get

Ok, so, the jar file the run.bat looks for with v23 isn't the jar file included in the installation. It's looking for forge-1.16.5-36.1.4 but what installs with the server pack is forge-1.16.5-36.1.31. I've renamed what the file in the run.bat is looking for and hoping the server runs, but it didn't yesterday, so I am skeptical it will today.

How did you do the update then? Because the server pack comes with the wrong forge that the run.bat is looking for, and even after that and it says the server is running, it doesn't actually show up. No network issues, since I've run this server through 3 versions now. But I had to Google how to update the thing, because there is literally NO documentation on how to update their servers, they just include read me's on how to do the initial installation.

I downloaded the v23 server pack, extracted everything as was specified in my pc and uploaded all those files to my host panel thing keeping just the whitelist, world folder and ops

my panel doesn't use the included run.bat, i just renamed the forge jar to server.jar and it started up

Ah, you run a cloud server, cool cool. But yeah, sounds about what I did. I'm doing mine on a server machine I have here at home. Fiber connection, overpowered machine, gets the job done. But yeah, launching the bat was just the easy mode server activation, but it wants to load the forge-1.16.5-36.1.4 jar, but comes with the 31, after I changed the filename it was looking for so it used the one it came with, it said it ran the server, but I assume it just never gets to the point that it becomes discoverable, because it won't show up through the usual IP connection.

So you've got the tnt method, the bed method, and the mining with vein miner enchantment method. The slowest is obviously the mining one and you could miss quite a bit due to its small area of mining. The bed is a little faster but requires you to bring shulker boxes worth of beds which requires loads of wool and wood. The tnt method is by far the best. It's simple and cheap to build up a creeper farm (look it up on YouTube if you don't know how to build one) and get all the gunpowder you'll ever need and all you gotta do is mine for about 50-200 blocks depending on your taste and then place a single tnt every two blocks and then light it off and get far back. You'll reveal loads of ancient debris. I highly recommend fire resistance potions or blazerite armor due to the fact that this also will expose loads of lava. Also, with the little goblins, the nether one will give you 5 scraps for 4 ancient debris. I advise utilizing that as much as possible.

If you wanna use the TNT method, I would snatch some TNT from the End. There are these floating islands that have 4 (piilars or launchers?) that have dispensers in them. I usually get maybe a stack and a half of TNT per island. If you have an elytra, you could get roughly 6-7 stacks per 5 minutes if you're lucky enough. They're literally all over the End too. Hard to miss!

So I'm not on a server, I'm on single player, however, I do know some mob spawning specifics. First of all,hostile mobs can spawn only within a 128 block sphere of the player. Within that's sphere, that cannot spawn within 25 blocks of the player. Now, with that in mind, your afk spot being 120 blocks above the farm leaves 8 blocks vertically that mobs can spawn on.

I had issues with my farm being above the ocean and above the land and what I found out is that mobs will always try to spawn on the lowest block possible before attempting to spawn on higher blocks. On top of that, the lower the blocks the higher the chance a mob has for a successful spawn. It will be a lot of work but I would try digging down to bedrock level and build your farm there, however you will also want to dig down to bedrock for the entire 128 block sphere around the farm and place a flat layer of glass just above bedrock as this will create an area where no mobs can spawn except in your farm

You need to downgrade the abnormal core in the modpack to abnormals_core-1.16.5-3.1.1 and to either disable or downgrade the enhance mushroom to 3.08

i used toast for a good while

there's a recipe to make wheat into dough and dough smelts into bread , then smelt again to get toast

1 wheat = 1 bread

but later on i got a slabfish and some chickens and made it pick up all the eggs , which can also be smelted to get fried eggs

toast is better but eggs come in passively without having to do anything for them

Hello, I'm new just getting into PC gaming and all that, thought I'd give the better minecraft mod pack a try, and it looks good. My problem is, is that it boot up perfectly once, but now it seems to ridculously slow when trying to load (Atlas Stitching : Minecraft: textures/atlas/shukler_boxes.png) Is this normal for anyone else? I've aready allocated nearly 6000MB (6G) to the game and it starts to crawl when ever it hits this texture pack thing. Is there anything I can do to help move it along, because I've been locked on the loading screen for nearly 3 hours just trying to push through it? I'm sorry if this isn't the place to ask these questions, I just wasn't sure where to post it. This is also the Forge Version, with the required beta CurseForge modpack loader.
