Hello i'm just curious on Better Minecraft [FORGE] I see the wiki says we can create bigger backpacks but I am not able to see the recipe in JEI. Is this intended, are their items locked behind progression? Also It seems like mobs phase out even when you are really close to them. As in they get unloaded very quickly and come back once you get extremely close. Wondering what this is and if it's possible to disable it.

You can @backpack and see the packpacks available. I think they pulled better backpacks early on due to redundancy.

But the ones left are nice, and are keyed to be thrown in a separate inventory slot and accessed like another inventory.

Personally I just carry an ender chest cause I like to use my back slot for those sweet elytra XD

@still gyro Thanks. I really want to figure out why the mobs just phase out. It's annoying because I host a server me and my friend play on and we have a fish tank and it's either empty when you first go up to it - or when things start appearing only like 1/4 of them actually show up.

I can't help with the mobs thing, it frustrates me a little too. I'm sure it has something to do with the performant mod. It's made hunting ghasts really challenging.

It probably keeps the entities down to help maximize your ram utilization

Man, I really think aquaculture is like, the strongest mod in the game. Everything that comes out of it is really good, without being too over powered.

goblin traders and the Glutton mob from outvoted

goblin traders will sometimes sell you overenchanted tools for equally expensive prices (nether stars , lots of dragon heads , etc)

Gluttons spawn in swamps and deserts ocasionally

they work like the Great Hunger mob that lost the mob vote at minecon

Hey we made a new BetterMinecraft Server, Forge version. Oure Server frezz after some time but we can see a error or somthing in the Console or even in the log file. i have no idear whats the problem, the server have frezzing with 24gb RAM and also with 6GB RAM we also changed all the gengeration stuff to terraforged and BetterMinecraft. Hey , we wanted to run a dedicated minecraft server on forge 36.1.4 with modpack BetterMinecraft. On oure Server we have the lates Java Installed. We installed the server "the normal way" we changed all the settings in the server.Porperties also the generation and level-type. We have watch the "guide video" a few times. I dont know what we doing wrong so far we tried to run the server on 24GB RAM and also on 5GB RAM like the config is set up on his own. The server run perfekt for a short time, but after a few min or a houre the server frezz, the strange thing is we have no erro code and nothing in the log file and even the console on the root looks like the server is runing normal, but we cant connect after we get the disconnect, the login screen frezz on encrypting. BTW German Guy here very sorry for my bad english hope you can understand it and have all specs you need for a solution maby 😄 @edgy mica

I have raised my allocated ram to 10 gb and have repaired the profile, duplicated the profile and even updated to the newest version on the duped profile but it still freezes. I am trying to host a server on my computer to play with my friends, I followed the instructions in the video in FAQ channel, and the README.TXT file in the server installation. (I already portforwarded since I have ran a vanilla minecraft server off of my computer before.) I ran the server from the run.bat file, and got an error: "Connection closed - mismatched mod channel list" after this happened I went back to the run.bat file and it said I had "lost connection: Disconnected" after stating my UUID. (I was using my IPv4 address as server address, and I was going to have my friends use my public IP address for privacy reasons) When I tried running the server using the minecraft_server.1.16.5.jar, it started running the server, but when I tried to join, I got a different error. "Incomplete set of tags received from server. Please contact server operator." I don't know what to do at this point. Is there anybody else who has had this problem or can help me get the server properly running.

Hey I am trying to make a server for better minecraft. Our server run very smooth but after a few min or an houre lure server is freezing and a few min later we have a disconnect. But on the root server the consol run normally and have no error even in the log files is nothing. The server run on latest Java and forge. We tried it with the better minecraft v20. Any ideas what we can do ? We give the server 24gb RAM and tried it later with only 5gb it happend the same

And after I read the hole discord massenges here I notice we should not change the level Typ and gen settings for the world or ?

You're supposed to be using the atlas for your in game map but if you REALLY want a mini map, then either Xaero or Journeymap is good, I prefer xaero since it's file is smaller

I'd just recommend you and your friends to play #better-mc-fabric it's pretty lightweight and tries to be similar to bmc forge

Save you and your friends the hassle of removing mods and whatnot and not deal with unexpected crashes or issues if you do want to remove "intensive" mods
