If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab, this is important as OSX WILL crash the game on Mac.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.
This video explains the process: https://youtu.be/xMYW1wMbmkM
To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
Do NOT Update Mods Manually!
Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.

Hey I've been trying to troubleshoot an iron farm where my zombie keeps dying. It started as a wattles design (i think) and then i eventualychanged it to this current setup , where the iron golem should never ever have range to hit the zombie (usualy stuck in the spot marked with an X), I saw that maybe flies could be the cause of death so i placed an amethyst mega torch and yet i still came back to 2 rotten flesh and an iron helmet where my zombie shouldve been (I equip him with a helmet so he doesnt despawn, dont have name tags atm)
is anyone else having issues with the repairman enchant? i tried using anvil to combine it with any diamond gear and it all says its not enchantable even on backpacks which it explicitly says it should be good for could use help applying it.

Instructions to fix
You (likely) need to update your graphics drivers in order to resolve the crash. Here's how to go about doing that!
1. Identify your graphics card
if you already know skip to the next step
- Open task manager
- Navigate to the "Performance" tab (on Windows 11 this is the button that looks like a heart pulse)
- Press the GPU 0 graph and read your GPU from the top right
Note:
In some cases you may see a GPU 0 and GPU 1. This means your CPU has its own GPU, as well as a dedicated one. You probably want GPU 1 (which is usually the better one), but you can ask staff to clarify if necessary.
2. Download your drivers from the manufacturers site
Depending on what you read before, you likely need drivers from either AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA
AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support
Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html
NVIDIA: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Note:
- For NVIDIA you want to select "Game Ready Driver (GRD)" (this is the default option) for the best performance. Once installing you'd probably prefer downloading GeForce Experience, which will notify you when there's an available drivers update.
- For Intel, you probably want to press "Get Started" under the "Automatically update your drivers and software", which will simplify the process and update everything automatically
- For AMD you probably want to just press "Download Windows Drivers", which will download something called AMD Adrenaline, which will update your drivers automatically.
3. Run the installation, restart your computer, and try playing MC again
- At this point, hopefully your Minecraft is running. If it still does not work, please post any new logs and staff will help assist you with finding the right solution.
Also this:
You seem to be using an older version of the modpack! Updates often fix issues, and yours might already be fixed, so please try again with the latest version of the modpack to see if the issue persists or not.

The mods added I've been using since V25, the last version I played was V47 and I finally came back to play and was excited to update. Upon doing to i was an error with Azurelib and Iceberg.
something could be no longer compatible, but what version was the pack on right before you updated to the latest?
haii so ive tried just about everything here and im not sure if its a new update, but i added and removed a few modpacks from bmc and it told me that was why it crashed. I acknowledge now from reading that it is a common occurence, but before the big rendering switch in minecraft, I ran a heavily modified version of bmc and it didnt crash at all. I basically have to modify the pack to play comfortably because i adore big modpacks, is there any way I can get around this new issue? I lost my old, large modpack I edited =(
note: i did not click to update anything, I was running version 1.21.1, and it all of a sudden wasnt letting me run my original(heavily edited) modpack. Im now trying to create a new one and running into this modification error

Not every mod is compatible with every modpack
So the fact that something was compatible with something in the past - doesn't mean it will stay it way

Have you tried to follow the information from the Crash Assist popup?
The igxelpicd64.dll 'Problematic frame' in hs_err_pid10544.log is part of the INTEL driver for the GPU.
Try fresh reinstalling your drivers from https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html
If you don't have an INTEL GPU, then you need to tell your system to use that GPU instead of the integrated GPU of the INTEL CPU, steps below.

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
the repairman enchant is a leftover from a disabled mod that is being removed soon
you added mods to the modpack, that is why you are crashing

why does my friend lag when i share world? the first like 5 minutes it was fine then he started lagging out of nowhere and got disconnected
How do I fix this
i believe it was due to the fact i was putting too MUCH ram into the installation, because i changed it and now its working!! somehow..
Hi 1. play 1.21.1 v49 2. Curseforge 3. no 4. v49 5. Yes i have play on the same server for a week i crash and cant join again. 6. crash when loading terrain is on the screen.
Uploaded disconnect-2026-04-24_22.15.52-client.txt from @light gazelle to mclogs: https://gnomebot.dev/paste/mclogs/AMafAEG
Okay, so I recently downgraded to v53 on BMC4 Forge, bc anything after that version the frame time, visually, is just really choppy and I don’t know why. No crashes or anything. Idk if anything mods affecting fullscreen is the issue because if I exit fullscreen it makes it worse when I go back into fullscreen
I also play with vsync and gsync both enabled because it plays really well until v54 and beyond
Better MC 4 - v57.5 crashed. The logs have been uploaded to gnomebot.dev:
- 1.20.1 [FORGE]
- prism launcher
- no fresh install
- v57.5
- i played few weeks
- i updated mods i added to new version but also modpack ones got updated so i did fresh install and added my mods back

[2;32mMutantMonsters-v8.0.8-1.20.1-Forge.jar[0m
Does it crash if you don't add those mods?
ill try
i guess it has to be server problem bc i can normally just join survival world
If it doesn't - try adding mods one by one, to see which one it is (I suspect some compatibility issues)
It's complaining about Visual Workbench for some reason
Are other players able to join normally?
i cant really check it now
second
im asking someone
OKay so other person can join
i can
but i get insta crash after
and survival works
It must be something in the world there. Can anyone travel to your last location?
yea
ill go with fresh install without any changes
to check
yeah so even on fresh with only mutant monsters it crashes me
okay thank you for your time
should i try update all mods i did last time and do same on server
but it shouldnt do much bc i load save i did before updating
Updating individual mods is not the best idea, it can break the modpack (and we won't be able to help if you updated many mods)
right now ill try to launch my server world on offline
it works
so i cant join only if it is hosted on my server
so world should be okay
thank god
will it be problem to transfer this world from offline to server having distant horizons and ambient sounds added?
after few days of playing
nah nevermind its actually only extra iron, gold, emerald diamond etc. its still just a free netherite ingot besides that
Guy its better minecraft 1 compatibble with lycanite mob?
the thing is i deleted it and redownloaded it again only it and it still crashed

hey im not too sure where to put this, but I want to make a better minecraft modpack server to play with some friends, and I dont know how big of a server to buy/ how much ram. Im getting told different things by different people so I came here to hopefully find answers. I plan to have max 6 people at once with an average of 2-3 players
for up to 6 players you can go 8 gigs
that's false. I've not seen that before. 8 gigs can handle up to 8 players
@sour tundra any chance this can be fixed on ya'lls end? BMC packs can handle 8 gigs for up to 8 players
thank you
fingers crossed it's something they can modify on their end for specific packs to handle it.
so 8 gigs will be okay?
yeah
Which pack is it?
did you ever figure out the fix?
bmc neo for the person experiencing the pop up, but all the bmc packs (forge 1-4, neo 5, fab 1-3) should be the same
BMC5 is set to 8gb suggested. I can lower the suggested amount which would help with that error but to fine tune it anymore than that would need to be escalated to the dev team.
Thanks Jake! We normally go 3 base + 1 per player till reaching 8 gigs, then it's up to 8 players on 8 gigs. After that 1 gig per player
Iirc that's just the bmc packs
So every BMC pack is capable of running 8 players with 8gb of RAM? I'm off for the weekend so if we are going to make changes to all of the packs I would rather wait until Monday so I can confirm some backend details with the dev team as I'm not positive how the selector works with ram per player.
My server crashes each time I try and mine a Link cable thats connected to a chest or use vien miner on them 😭
all good, if you need to just forward that it's totally fine
I'll submit an esc so we don't forget about it. ty!
no problem and thank you 😄 if they need any other details might be best to talk to chloe or sharkie
they know the backends of this the best
We will likely need to reach out to one of them so we can confirm the base ram and everything for all of the packs. Might as well get everything updated at the same time.
good plan, kill 2 birds with one stone.
Escalation submitted. 👍
im trying to make a tnt dupe tree farm but the tnt isnt duping and becuase its a modded server there is no paper config, anyone have a fix?
anyone know a fix for the inmis backpack not opening? My friends in the server can't open their backpack anymore

You are using a modified version of the modpack!
Adding, removing, or updating large amounts of mods without testing any of your changes is **not **a good idea, and it is very unlikely that anyone will want to debug your issue for you. Please test the changes you make in small groups, as opposed to doing all of the changes at once.
If you want further support for your issue, someone may respond to you in the channel for the modpack you based your changes off, but please only post once. You may also have better luck in #1061339968691257466.

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.
how do i play with my friend?
!ws
Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
If you get an error in chat when trying to host your world, we highly recommend selfhosting instead as it's free, very easy, and much more stable. Run the !server command in #bots to learn more.
!server
Free Method
To host a server on your own computer, read the selfhosting guide.
This guide goes over how to install, create, and launch a free Minecraft server on all operating systems (MacOS, Linux and Windows). The guide also guides you through installing Java and optimizing your server for better performance.
If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.
Paid Method
We suggest renting a server from Bisect Hosting:
Approx. $10 - $25 a month depending on what plan you choose. You can also get 25% off with Code LunaPixel.
Go here and order a plan which fits you. We suggest 1GB per player but nothing lower than 4GB as the server needs at least 3GB to run.
Go to #server-hosting for more Info!
The following advice works for both the Free and Paid methods:
Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
!ws

hi my friend and i just started playing modded and we wanted to play together on better mc neoforge bmc5 but i log into his server for a second and then it kicks me out and says incompatible version.. does anyone know how to fix im a noob
Anyone else notice a difference in sensitivity in all of LunaPixelStudios packs?
how so?
how is server hosted? ya'll on same modpack version?
Yes same versions, it shows "luna" when I hover the wifi symbol but then next to it says incompatible version and server. We are using curseforge, updated any mods that needed to be, checked what versions we were on, even switched over to modrinth but then it wouldnt even let me in it would show the same thing but instead of lunar em4c or something
do not update the mods. modrinth is not being updated at this time.

To properly update the modpack you're playing, it depends on the launcher you are using. This video can explains it on CurseForge launcher, and the same method can be used on other launchers as well, but it's not necessary to use this method on others.
-
CurseForge - See above video
-
PrismLauncher -> Select your instance, and click "Edit" on the right. the 3rd tab down will say "CurseForge", click on it, and there will be a dropdown menu, if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it. click "Update Pack". Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to liscensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, the "Open Missing" will be grayed out. You can click 'Continue" at this point, and it will finish the update process and tell you when its successful.
-
ATLauncher - Under the "Instances" tab, find the pack you would like to update. there will be an "Update" button. There will be a dropdown menu, and if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it to select. Click "Update" once selected. Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to licensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. ⚠️ Essential Mod Not Supported
We strongly recommend against using Essential with our modpacks, and we add a warning screen during modpack startup containing the following message by default. A free world-sharing alternative is already built-in called Luna - click Share World in the game menu to use it.
Why we don't support Essential:
-
Technical issues: We've received multiple user reports of problems when combining Essential with our modpacks, including reports of world corruption. While there is no conclusive evidence of Essential as the definite cause, we do not have the development or support capacity to resolve issues potentially caused by it.
-
Security concerns: Essential's auto-updater introduces potential security risks that are outside of our control.
-
Ethics: We object to Essential's inclusion of in-game currency and microtransactions in an otherwise free modding environment.
If you choose to use Essential anyway
Please understand that you do so at your own risk and will not be eligible for support from our team. To remove this warning, you can open your modpack instance folder, navigate to config/crash_assistant/problematic_mods_config.json, and under essential-container, change should_crash_on_startup from true to false.
!logs
to better assist with most issues, we will need some logs:
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- MultiMC -> Select your instance and click „Instance Folder” on the right.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
- For servers -> Open the folder containing your server files.
To find the latest.log file, navigate to the 'logs' folder.
To find the hs_err_pid.log file, simply look for the file name after opening the instance folder. (this file type is not as common in crashes - do not worry if you cannot find it, just skip over this line.)
To find a crash report, navigate to the crash-reports folder and find the most recent file after your crash occurred.
Once located, please upload the requested file here. If it fails, upload to https://mclo.gs/ and share the link here.

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
so its because of curseforge?
i added like 40 mods
isnt that the reason?
because when i run it without my mods it doesnt freeze

You are using a modified version of the modpack!
Adding, removing, or updating large amounts of mods without testing any of your changes is **not **a good idea, and it is very unlikely that anyone will want to debug your issue for you. Please test the changes you make in small groups, as opposed to doing all of the changes at once.
If you want further support for your issue, someone may respond to you in the channel for the modpack you based your changes off, but please only post once. You may also have better luck in #1061339968691257466.
oh ok
and do you know how to make more villages spawn in the world

is it possible that 4 spawners blocked off around spawn causes for friend to always lose connection and dc? how I can pintpoint what is the problem for his disconnects?
would love to keep playin on BMC4 but he always keeps dc-in
any chance you're using world sharing? the disconnection is likely from full slots
using playitgg to portforward, and curseforge server pack
it's likely caused by playit then
happens with share world too now
router is locked and can't open ports manully, wil try and contact provider for static ip and ports open
ultimately that may be your only option outside of maybe trying a host out.
Thanks 🙂 shareworld should work if slots are not full?
hey! i'm playing on this modpack and trying to get someone else to join LAN, it's version 1.20.1 and it won't let them due to an error with luna? we're playing through curseforge!
i've tried the firewall steps, using the e4mc mod, unsure if i did it right but i can' t get anything to work 🙁
can someone help me out
I sent my problem 2 days ago but no one was of help
My game crashed while I was changing my shaders now every tike I try to load it up it tells me that it's non responsive
does anyone know a fast way to get inactive spawner shards? thank you! (i have silk touch or fortune 4)

World Sharing servers are likely currently at capacity
If you or your friend are receiving an error such as "An error occurred in Luna", or "Connection refused: no further information" when trying to play through "Open to LAN" or "Share World", it's likely that Luna's servers (used for world sharing) are currently full. We don't have a way to know when slots on our servers free up, but you are welcome to try again later.
We understand and recognize that this may be inconvenient, so we recommend in this case to host or rent your own server. Self-hosting is free, for more information on supported hosting options, type !server in #bots.
If you'd prefer an alternate world sharing mod such as Essential over the previous methods, risks of it are outlined in !ea, as well as how to use it if you accept the risks and void of support.
This command does NOT change or know if they are full or not, this is something ran as the most common issue.

I should. I have all the mods added and the same version. This is my server that I set up.
how did you install on both sides
Downloaded the server pack and the modpack and added the mods to both.
Made sure they were the same version as well
wdym by added the mods to both
I added AE2, Iron chests, Productive bees, Mekanism and mekanism tools, generators, addons, and Create. I think that's it
If I remember the others I'll say 'em
test if you're able to join without the added mods
Can do.
I want to start better-mc today, but I got into the following problem while opening the server. When I searched it, it tells me to delete the Java object, but can I ask for any other methods?
If the issue you're experiencing is clientside, and is not related to a server, then follow the "Java" section in our performance guide for how to switch to a newer, more stable version of Java.
If the issue you're experiencing is serverside, then follow the Java section of our server installation guide.

if i wanna have more villages do i put a bigger or a smaller number?
bigger is more

me again! can someone explain how to get my friend into my server? ive shared it and have a port number, but im not sure what to tell my friend in order to get him in the game with me! he has the same modpack i do =)
Run the !server command in #bots to learn more.
right butttttt what does my friend do with that link? put it into a search engine orrr? sorry 😭

Hi, I'm having a very strange issue on Better MC [FORGE] BMC4 version 57.5 (mc 1.20.1).
When I started up the server (Decidated server, self hosted in Pteradactyl) everything seemed to work fine. The issues started when I added claims though. I added the claims via the map (Xaeros World Map, right click -> Claim chunk).
Symptoms:
- All other players (Tested with two different accounts on two different devices) are unable to interact with blocks (Chests, signs, books etc) in the area that i initially claimed.
- Unclaiming the chunk via the same method does not change anything.
- Only the chunks I originally claimed are affected (Claimed before other players joined the server for the first time)
- No error message is displayed in the chat indicating the chunk is claimed, no matter what claim status I have it in.
- Claiming news chunks that are outside the area I originally claimed works as intended and can be unclaimed.
- I have tried changing Open Parties and Claims settings via the config menu.
- I have tried changing the config files for Open Parties and Claims to disable it's features.
- I have tried renaming the Open Parties and Claims JAR file to another extension to prevent the mod from loading.
None of the above attempts have made any difference. Clients and server has been restarted multiple times. From my own client, nothing seems off, but it seems all other clients are broken. Unfortunately google has not granted me any wisdome more than where the config files are located.
Can somebody please advise on what I could try? Do we need to migrate to another version? Currently this is making the game essentially unplayable for us :( And quite a lot of time has been put in to this world before this issue was discovered.
Are they unable to do anything specifically around world's spawn?
Hmmm, it might just be near the world spawn, let me test another claim further away
Yup, it's world spawn. Nice catch! Can that be fixed?
The reason why I'm asking is the fact that vanilla has a Spawn Protection feature. In a server, by default, it's defined, but inactive, and only activates when someone uses /op (which I would guess you did). That will prevent any non-op players from griefing the spawn.
You can change the radius in server.properties and restart the server after
Yes
Yeh that solved it, many thanks!!!
I just have a small (config I think) problem left. I have allowed breaking of crops in my claims, but I need my non party members to be able to harvest crops. Right now they can only break them (left click), not harvest (right click). Any ideas?
hi, can someone explain me why i cant play even if i downloaded the resource pack and mod to modrinth?
Do you get any error messages or something like that? I also saw a message previously that the packs on Modrinth are not currently being updated, are you trying to join a online server?
no i dwonloadet the better mc 2 on modrinth, started the mod pack and it said i have to add a mod and a resource pack to modrinth to continue. i have done it and it still keeps saying that after 4 restarts
Screenshot?
!modrinth
Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.
ty
You would probably need to find what allows people to right click blocks, but not sure which mechanic is used for crop harvesting
Tried looking at all the options but couldn't find anything relevant unfortunately. But now we can at least work around it by removing claims in the affected area.

!modrinth
Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.
!alternates you did not install correctly

!ws remove essential, we offer no support for it and there's world sharing already
Run the !server command in #bots to learn more.
frosted prison in warden armor good?
are you playing on a server
!drivers

Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
my drivers are updated
Hi, im playing better mc forge bmc4 version 57.5 minecraft 1.20.1. i didnt have any issues until the latest update. The only change I made to the modpack was adding essentials mod, but again I didnt have any issues with crashing until i updated the modpack to the latest version. My game crashes 80% of the time when I use a waystone between dimensions. It happens alot, and two times it caused my gpu to shut itself down and I had to reinstall the drivers and enable the gpu again manually. What do I do? I provided the most recent crash file. My gpu disabled itself with this one

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
please stop modifying the modpack heavily without any testing
yes that is indeed what I said
the exact same way as vanilla

Apparently there's a bug with the unofficial 1.21.1 port of Alex's Mobs where biomes with sand can't spawn the sand and it gets replaced with grass instead.
We've just ran into this issue with our new Neoforge BMC5 server too. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for this?
https://www.reddit.com/r/ModdedMinecraft/comments/1qvcgn7/biomes_are_generating_with_only_grass_blocks/
send a screenshot
what modpack version are you on
the most recent Neoforge release https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/better-mc-neoforge-bmc5
so 1.21.1 v49
then report the issue to the alexs mobs unofficial port devs
seems like it has already been reported on the github sometime in march, but I don't see any updates from the dev since january
pls help backpacked
the Backpacked mod isn't used in any of our modpacks
it was replaced by inmis
regarding this: it seems Backpacked enchantment books are still in the modpack, even if the backpack itself isn't anymore
there isn't really much we could do about that and it's not that urgent as the mod is being removed soon anyway
the new backpacks already have all the functionality that the enchants add
Seems to be affecting the Rainbow Beach, Windswept Desert, Rugged Badlands and Mojave Desert. At least those are what I've clocked so far. The vanilla desert is fine.
On BMC5 neoforge servers, do they dissable mob travel though portals by default?
I made a wither skelleton farm, and they wpnt enter the portal. Can't figure out why.... the chunks in the OW are forceloaded, and the portals are linked properly.
there are no mods that affect that
Poop.

Hello I don't see a channel for the modpack of Homestead by Toekimi. 1. 1.20.1 2. CurseForge 3. Yes I added Clean Connected Glass bt aka_Jammy, Hellim's Connected Textures by ManiacVII, and Clean Connected Glass (Diagonal Windows Patch) by kltyton. 4. v1.3.4 of Homestead 5. No I haven't crashed. I am reaching out because the window pane textures from the create mod do not connect like the window blocks do. And specifically reaching out to this team because I figured out as soon as I turned off the Diagonal windows mod the panes started connecting again. I can get screenshots of the windows if needed I was just hoping to find some direction on how to fix it or if I just need to wait for the mods to update to be fully compatible together?
You don't see it, because it's not a Luna Pixel modpack
Have you tried to just click the Discord link on the project's page?
Oh sorry, yeah I did and this is where it took me to
Its Fuzs project
should I ask it in his project page?
Homestead as a modpack have it's own page. If the author thinks it's Fuzs' fault - you can ask in #fuzs-projects - but before you do, speak to Toekimi
Ahhh okay I see sorry I haven't had to do this much trouble shooting so I was just doing my best to find some answers thank you for the direction!
have 2 questions
where does cities spawn, like their biomes, in the overworld (for the achievement), and on what biome can i find a nether city
what cities you mean?
and on what biome can i find a nether city
there's no rly "biome" for them but they spawn near lava, ig - tho then again, uncertain what cities you mean
if like these - I've only seen em near lava
villagers cities
theres an achievement that asks u to find an overworld city
lemme check
Repurposed structures, the achievement is called Skyward Cities
Thank you
how unstable can BMC5 get when i introduce create aeronautics?
fuck around and figure out
but
most likely, extremely unstable to a point of being unplayable without doing a lot of work

im trying to figure it out, but neruina is making it harder
well
you could make post in #1061339968691257466 and pray for someone to help you
or just .. try this or that on your own
general idea - modpacks comes, and then there's no support promised if you modify pack, and no guarantees that x/y/z mod will work with the pack
ik, i just like making my life harder
a stupid question, what are ticking entities, is it entities that dont do anything except tick so it takes pc resources or is it something worse?
because i found out that when Sable (the physics stuff in aeronautics) does something with permissions so that neruina cannot suspend them
from what google says
ticking entity is just a bomb

it will cause crash, hence ticking
any other is just regular entity
hey all, minor isue but heavy annoyance, i have persistent lighting storms even with weather updates off and forced clear weather, is there a particular mod i should look at tweaking to vastly reduce the random lightning strikes? i dont mind them here and there but its literally every 5 seconds even in sunny clear weather
care to give more info?
like
- what modpack you playing
- have you modified the pack
- is it happening in overworld or some other dim?
Better mc, only added world edit, over world is the only place I've been I haven't been to other dimensions
Oh, I didn't know that
- I don't think it's world edit but does it still happen if you remove it?
- is there some poi's (point of interest) near you or just happens everywhere? does it happen in new world too?
This is probably easier than trying to find the info you need lol
It was happening before I added world edit so I don't think its that but I'll try
yeah, bmc 4, all fine
try uhh
killing yourself, then removing all gear, trinkets, whatever from yourself and just running far away
MAYBE it is something on your inv/person/place
I haven't played bmc so can't rly say
Is there any channel where i can ask questions about the performance of server pc's that host better mc BMC 4 or can i ask those questions here ?
You can ask all BMC (Neo)Forge questions here - gameplay, installation, servers, tech support
How well will my server pc with an intel core i5 10500t and 24gb ddr4 ram 250gb ssd sata run an better mc BMC 4 forge server but to make the running easier i will add chunky and pregenerate like 6000 blocks when the server starts
As a reference my intel core i5 7500t 16gb ddr4 server pc can handle 4-6 players on 17 tps
!tps to make it even easier
Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.
For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide. This guide's section regarding GraalVM is completely wrong from our own testing, and we recommend ignoring it.
Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.
If lag persists, run the following command ingame:
/spark profiler start --only-ticks-over 50
Then, send the link in this channel.
I meant like uhh, try changing java to 22/21 graal
On my old server i ran it on java 21 the other options were 25 or 17
Follow the TPS guide to get the most of your PC, yes
And then in terms of that spec - it's relatively modern CPU, so should be able to handle more. Typically we recommend 3 GB RAM base + 1 GB per player (but leave overhead for the operating system)
There is really no benchmark for the CPU, but if you pregen - it should be fine
And with tps guide you mean the guide from the zeppelin bot that says "follow this guide"
this, yes
I'm running a ryzen 5 7600x, 32gb ram, and a 3070, game on main drive SSD, I'm getting wild lag spikes every 20 seconds or so, game entirely locks up for 2-3 seconds. Single player, noticing CPU usage spikes
!fps for that
use atlauncher/prism, better java, proper amount of ram, better java args
Eh, don't feel like installing and bug smashing for 3 hours just to play, I'll just find something else, thanks

The guide is not modpack-specific, so you can apply it to basically all the modpacks (including non-LunaPixel ones) to get less lag
The pack is optimized already, and your lag spikes are not caused by the pack

did you select installation from Modrinth?
cuz v30 is old
No, I downloaded it from the Prism Launcher
even for modrinth you would be using outdated version
did mean provider

when you're installing pack in Prism, you want to select Curseforge instead of Modrinth
!modrinth
Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.
as you can see - modrinth is outdated
Now I'll select everything in the launcher again, I don't remember what I did, curse forge or modrint
Modrint, I just chose the first BMC5, I'll reinstall everything now, thanks
It crashes before I even get to the main menu. What's the reason?

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

do any structures have creeper spawners?
Can I solve my problem without installing this launcher?
You can try, but CF app is shit
It cannot install modpacks properly
I know it's awful, but it looks like there's a virus.
What do you think I should do to fix my CF problem?
1 AV detection usually means a false positive
Stop using it
We're not even affiliated with ATLauncher, it's just a stable app with little to no issues compared to everything else
I'm not even talking about the virus, but this app has no chance of stealing my Microsoft account, right? I hope not. I've logged in.
no, Ryan wouldn't do that
we also wouldn't recommend it if it was dangerous either.
ok thank u

You are using a modified version of the modpack!
Adding, removing, or updating large amounts of mods without testing any of your changes is **not **a good idea, and it is very unlikely that anyone will want to debug your issue for you. Please test the changes you make in small groups, as opposed to doing all of the changes at once.
If you want further support for your issue, someone may respond to you in the channel for the modpack you based your changes off, but please only post once. You may also have better luck in #1061339968691257466.
just make your own pack at that point
Sorry, new to modding. How do I make a new modpack from the current modlist, without using BetterMC4 as base? Is there a way to do that with Prism
Would adding Create to Better MC make conflicts?
question Essential mod and e4mc isnt working for better mc5 after we updated the modpack
we give zero support for essential. we have a fork of e4mc already built into the pack. World sharing. it reuses the lan button
Run the !server command in #bots to learn more.
whgat does this mean? every time i load into the end
we dont see world sharing and also does our world gets deleted with essential mod
it's the open to lan button from esc menu after you enter your world.
ok ill check that out did not know that
if the world is in your saves then you should be able to access it, but fair warning as any damage the mod may have done to the save can't be undone.
we've had issues out of essential probably causing those sort of issues
ok

Please record a Spark Profile so we can better diagnose the cause of your performance issue.
FPS issues: (Clients Only!)
If you're experiencing low frames per second, record a rendering profile:
- Run
/sparkc profiler start --timeout 30 - Wait 30 seconds for the profile to finish
- Send the link in this channel.
TPS issues:
If there's a long delay before actions happen, or the world is slow to respond, record a standard profile:
- Run
/spark profiler start --timeout 30 - Wait 30 seconds for the profile to finish
- Send the link in this channel.
Large TPS Spikes:
If you rarely have an extremely long delay before actions happen or the world suddenly stops responding for a long time (a lag spike), add a high --only-ticks-over threshold to the profile and stop it manually:
/spark profiler start --only-ticks-over 100
-# Optional: Run/spark tickmonitor- this prints TPS spikes into chat so you can see if they've occurred- Wait for the lag spike to occur and finish
/spark profiler stop- Send the link in this channel.

Hi i am playing on a server I host with bettermc5 on neo forge and i tried making this farm "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBpMwXVn6iY" but for some reason zombie piglins wont spawn on the spawning floor, anyone know why? i built it genuinely the exact same but the piglins just dont spawn
IMPORTANT: At 6:00, do not go through the nether portal in the spawning area. It should remain unlinked with the overworld so that the zombie piglins can't teleport anywhere yet. At 9:29, build the portal at Y=191 or higher. Also, use a lava bucket to destroy swords in the killing chamber to prevent lag.
- The farm has been reported to work ...

Also, you added so many mods it's not BMC anymore - go to #1061339968691257466
And close down stuff, you just run out of system memory (and swap)
okey thank you

how do you host a bettermc server (4)
Guide:

Try with ATLauncher :
You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
just made my first dragon tool!
out of curiosity, is it possible to remove life mending to put regular mending on it?
How much ram should i allocate for bmc4
depends on how much you have
5+ should be enough tho

Heyoo anyone new to the pack and wanna do a survival playthrough?
Anyone know of a fix for the issue regarding BWG wood not being able to be used for crafting items such as chests or crafting tables etc.?
Hi, It'll be my first time playing BMC, which version would you recommend BMC4 or BMC5?
If you're unsure what the difference is, her recommendation is just to flip a coin if you're split and play either. Or play latest if you prefer that much.
if you have an existing modpack installation you can copy the saves folder from the old install to your new one if you want to keep your world

what do you mean by "singleplayer server"
you dont have the same modpack installed as the server
how is the server hosted
!outdated
You seem to be using an older version of the modpack! Updates often fix issues, and yours might already be fixed, so please try again with the latest version of the modpack to see if the issue persists or not.
yes it does work

its just not lol
like that isnt how minecraft worlds work
ATLauncher does a fresh install of your modpack and then its not going to touch the files ever again
it especially would not touch your world file
nobody else has ever had an issue with the way the guide is worded
i have been doing this for 5 years i can promise you everything is accounted for there
no it doesnt
you probably moved the file incorrectly
the guide i sent 100% accounts for everything
wow
i didnt know i was dealing with an HTML professional
you just need to paste the saves folder over thats it
if you couldnt handle that thats fine
you dont need to be passive aggressive about it 😭
it does though
what do you think happened
what is your hypothesis
what made your world dissapear
do you think there is a delete world file randomly mod that only exists on the ATLauncher install
please educate me, the sole pack developer, on what mods and functionality the modpack has
What he doesn't know is that I secretly installed the worse mc modpack to his atlauncher when he wasn't looking
that is not how modpacks work at all
almost half of the mods/datapacks were custom made for BMC
and almost every mod is heavily configured
When he said he built websites from scratch, he meant the scratch engine
theres also a ton of intricacies with mod incompatibilities and what works better in certain scenarios
its crazy how you're responding to the slightest bit of pushback
its okay if you made a mistake when transfering files and its normal to make mistakes
you dont need to be so defensive
well yes i am generally correct
it would be weird if i wasnt when this is my job
like my one job is to be correct
