Jesus Christ why are you being so hostile
because you keep insisting on using chatgpt lol
my bad I guess. Just trying to fix my world, multiple people in this chat having similar issues and all you told me was to do a clean install. Anyways ATlauncher fixed the issue as of now but someone believed it had something to do with Wither Nagas or something
none of those people sent logs
and your logs reference a mod that hasnt had an update in over a year
and its a crash ive never seen before
its definitely some deeper issue and id need a lot of logs to be able to tell whats causing it
I get you. Hopefully you guys get more logs and the issue is resolved
I've checked jei and I don't see a way to craft diamond, emerald, or netherite Dragon armor ( it's the only 3 I wanna craft )
probably from chest loot
yep lol
AI just tells ppl to remove random mods
no worries though, i'm pretty sure it was resources
bc it has literally no way of knowing anything about modern mc modding
oh i've been a modpack maintainer for awhile, i know removing mods is both the worst thing you can do and the first thing people do
everything is in discord servers now which it cant train off of and its still moreso applied knowledge
except i was in skyrim
its much worse in skyrim
I wish jei would at least telle what chest has the dragon armor
well i do understand it, why play skyrim if you can't mod it yourself
these are the questions even homo habilus pondered
issue is nobody knows what they're doing and they end up removing & adding stuff that definitely should not be removed or added
yeah
As it told me to delete mods I didn't obviously as I didn't wanna adjust the modpack, it also told me to download NBTlauncher to manually move my character back to the overworld as my game wouldn't crash there
It didn't fix the issue but at least allowed me to play. I didn't download the NBT thing tho
you kinda get a sense for when the ai is BS'ing you though if you get used to it
YEAH
its like the spidey sense
yeah*
I just needed a quick solution as there wasn't a lot of info. Whatever it's resolved now
How do I stop my mc from stopping the bgm mid-play? it often stops suddenly
It told me I couldnt use the mods and they were broken and one wouldn’t run without the other so I disabled them both that was the reason.
what is "it"
what told you in plain text "this mod is broken and this one wont run with the other"
The Minecraft launcher when the game booted up
i dont think that happened
Why are u rude what
i think you got a different screen that you misinterpreted
and you removed two mods that the pack needs
I actually have no patience with someone that’s this hostile sorry I’ll take the advice of the other person thanks
mimi is also right that you need to update drivers yes
but you are also additionally crashing bc you removed two important mods lol
what modpack and modpack version are you on
BMC4, v55.5. Though it happened wayback v54. I didn't add anything aside from the mods that the modpack added.
so its fine to turn on cheat? cuz i remember back then turning on cheat disabling achievement, but idk about now
can you see if it continues with the audio improvements mod removed & then check w/ biome music removed
that was only ever a feature on Bedrock Edition
ok thx
yeh, removing that mod (audio improvements) fixed the problem for me
thx
Well, well. I think I'm experiencing memory leak. Ever since I updated to v55.5, my memory started skyrocketing, from 50% to 99% of ram usage then it freezes then crashes. I honestly don't know what to do

If it's crashing the instance - follow the video
Better MC 4 - v54 crashed without a crash report. The logs have been uploaded to mclo.gs:
- 1.20.1 [FORGE]
- What launcher did you run Minecraft with? (e.g. CurseForge, ATLauncher, MultiMC, ...) Curseforge
- Have you changed the modpack in any way except mods? no
- v54
- Have you ever gotten past the crash condition without crashing, or does the game always crash? not really
- What steps cause the crash? just launching the game in curseforge, memory bar ain't increasinf and get stuck after a few minutes the instance crashes

!updatemodpack
To properly update the modpack you're playing, it depends on the launcher you are using. This video can explains it on CurseForge launcher, and the same method can be used on other launchers as well, but it's not necessary to use this method on others.
-
CurseForge - See above video
-
PrismLauncher -> Select your instance, and click "Edit" on the right. the 3rd tab down will say "CurseForge", click on it, and there will be a dropdown menu, if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it. click "Update Pack". Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to liscensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, the "Open Missing" will be grayed out. You can click 'Continue" at this point, and it will finish the update process and tell you when its successful.
-
ATLauncher - Under the "Instances" tab, find the pack you would like to update. there will be an "Update" button. There will be a dropdown menu, and if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it to select. Click "Update" once selected. Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to licensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, You can click "OK ", and it will finish the update process.
My friend is playing on v54 so she told me to download it to join her, is it supposed to be v55+? Or is v54 just discontinued
we offer no support for older versions of the modpack
the same way mojang wouldnt fix issues for old versions of minecraft
or the developer of any other game would tell people to update to fix their problem
huh
.
the info they gave was "the game told me to remove two mods" which isn't a thing that happens
i get u and im sure you deal with a lot of issues daily which can be frustrating im sure, you gotta understand that people have varying levels of knowledge on modding minecraft and troubleshooting in general. Im not here to tell you what to do but you definitely were on one since earlier
I know people have varying levels of info that's why I asked them to clarify and taught them how to ask better questions lol
I've done that 100 times before and people understand what's going on
if someone is asking questions obliviously I'm going to have them clarify and rephrase so in the future they know how to ask more effective questions
oke so it did the same stuff

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.
This video explains the process: https://youtu.be/xMYW1wMbmkM
To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

Can I set up a server in BMC5 for free? I think e4mc and Essential don’t work or something like Aternos.
!ws
Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
I was worried that it might cause ping, because we are connecting from türkiye.
do you have any other opt'ons ?
!server
Free Method
To host a server on your own computer, read the selfhosting guide.
This guide goes over how to install, create, and launch a free Minecraft server on all operating systems (MacOS, Linux and Windows). The guide also guides you through installing Java and optimizing your server for better performance.
If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.
Paid Method
We suggest renting a server from Bisect Hosting:
Approx. $10 - $25 a month depending on what plan you choose. You can also get 25% off with Code LunaPixel.
Go here and order a plan which fits you. We suggest 1GB per player but nothing lower than 4GB as the server needs at least 3GB to run.
Go to #server-hosting for more Info!
The following advice works for both the Free and Paid methods:
Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
You're an angel, thanks for your help
excuse me ms dev but do u have a list of the world gen mods u guys used so ik what not to delete?
ı dont understand how can ı fix that
ı create a server my friend can join but when my friend create ı cant join
any solutions for this? im using the curseforge app and already reinstalled that mod 2 times, this happens on all servers which got this version
Is it possible that there is an error with something related with item frames / signs? one of the players on my online server is exploring and game keeps crashing with something related to that
do they get a white screen popup when they crassh
Im asking them right now, they told me the server kicked them and it restarted
Only blocked the player actions and became laggy, then it disconnected him without any screen appear, but client never crashed
How do i not share world and just host on my ip
Guys i need help

is it posible to just have normal button?
Oh nvm it works now i think
Do the dragons lag anyone else's bmc5 server
Looked into spark and AbstractDragonEntity.tick is using 75% thread
yeah that mod does that sometimes
if you dont particularly like them just killing them with commands is the best option usually
or tp them to you might fix it
Have like 6 friends on that server tho, should I tell them 1 dragon a person or something lol
can you send me the spark link
or if you know how to look up the total dragon count
in the whole world
my guess would be that its not the count but rather one or two specific dragons being bugged
We killed a couple and respawned them with the whistles and seemed to work

!modified
You are using a modified version of the modpack!
Adding, removing, or updating large amounts of mods without testing any of your changes is **not **a good idea, and it is very unlikely that anyone will want to debug your issue for you. Please test the changes you make in small groups, as opposed to doing all of the changes at once.
If you want further support for your issue, someone may respond to you in the channel for the modpack you based your changes off, but please only post once. You may also have better luck in #1061339968691257466.

I bought a server for better mc 1.20.1 before the server i added extra mods into the pack. When i went to join the server just now it said error and gave me a list of the mods i added but before i could spawn into a world and it worked
Hello! Just to clarify you did add the mods to both your own client and the server?
I added extra mods to better mc pack on my own client im assuming
You will need to add them to your servers mods folder as well. Who are you hosting the service with?
Bisect
You can follow this guide to add the mods to your servers mods folder: https://help.bisecthosting.com/hc/en-us/articles/40396622697755-How-to-Add-Custom-Mods-to-a-Minecraft-Server
Feel free to ping me if you have any questions. 🙂
Now when i add the ones i want to the server, do my friends have to do anything or can they just paste the address and join right up
it'll depend on the mod. some you don't have to, some you absolutely have to
They are going to need to add them to their client as well.
Okay cool
I can just download the zip file and send it to them and they can upload to curse
Make sure you export it as a ZIP with all of the important folders selected. Share codes can have issues.
oh have ya'll been experiencing issues from share codes?
I've gotten reports from other modpack developers that share codes don't always take KUBEJS or other "extra" folders with them.
Interesting. Ty for the heads up!
np!
@sour tundra i just pm’ed you

⚠️ Essential Mod Not Supported
We strongly recommend against using Essential with our modpacks, and we add a warning screen during modpack startup containing the following message by default. A free world-sharing alternative is already built-in called Luna - click Share World in the game menu to use it.
Why we don't support Essential:
-
Technical issues: We've received multiple user reports of problems when combining Essential with our modpacks, including reports of world corruption. While there is no conclusive evidence of Essential as the definite cause, we do not have the development or support capacity to resolve issues potentially caused by it.
-
Security concerns: Essential's auto-updater introduces potential security risks that are outside of our control.
-
Ethics: We object to Essential's inclusion of in-game currency and microtransactions in an otherwise free modding environment.
If you choose to use Essential anyway
Please understand that you do so at your own risk and will not be eligible for support from our team. To remove this warning, you can open your modpack instance folder, navigate to config/crash_assistant/problematic_mods_config.json, and under essential-container, change should_crash_on_startup from true to false.

does it skip the mojang launcher or jump straight to game
we dont think so

no, does it open the minecraft vanilla launcher.
No it doesnt
you'll need to disable that from curseforge app, and make sure you're signed in properly. If it still fusses try atlauncher or prism launcher instead

This is the vanilla launcher, aka mojang
what do we disable
is there a way to fix the "an error occurred in Luna" when trying to world share? it worked a minute ago but my friend and i kept getting that message ever since
did you stop and restart world sharing?
switch from curse to mojang
no but we restarted our games and still got the message
!wsfull
World Sharing servers are likely currently at capacity
If you or your friend are receiving an error such as "An error occurred in Luna", or "Connection refused: no further information" when trying to play through "Open to LAN" or "Share World", it's likely that Luna's servers (used for world sharing) are currently full. We don't have a way to notify you when slots on our servers free up, but you are welcome to try again later.
We understand and recognize that this may be inconvenient, so we recommend in this case to host or rent your own server. Self-hosting is free, for more information on hosting options, type !server in #bots.
Please note as well that this is a static command, it does not change/know when servers are full or not
it's butt kicking cold in the US so might be a lot of kids stuck at home and inside
ah i see ty
We didn't even hit 30F in my area 💀 highest I saw was 27
is there a place where i can find servers for this?

you do not have the same modpack installed as the server, period
that error happens for no other reason
it has nothing to do with the every compat mod itself

Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".

we fixed it by removing the e4mc fork and putting in regular e4mc

- What launcher did you run Minecraft with? (e.g. CurseForge, ATLauncher, MultiMC, ...) - CurseForge
- Have you changed the modpack in any way except mods? - Not that I'm aware
- v54
- Have you ever gotten past the crash condition without crashing, or does the game always crash? - it crashes after a certain amount of time, not constant.
- What steps cause the crash? - any activity will eventually cause the crash.

I got a question? Why are there fabric mods on the Forge BMC4? Just a question.

Please note as well that this is a static command, it does not change/know when servers are full or not
is there a way to check if world sharing is full or not?
no way to check it no
ah i see
Is Ice and Fire a good mod to add to this mod pack, BMC4? anybody else using this?
I mean, if you want Ice and Fire, why not take a look at Medieval MC?
I do not see the backpack skin chooser button, did it get changed to a hotkey or something? We were playing on 1.20 BMC4, but now on 5.

Hi, has anyone else noticed that Alex's Mobs aren't really spawning? The only one my gf and I have seen are the flies
We did find a gator egg in a chest, but even in vanilla biomes they aren't spawning. Is this maybe because the server hasn't been reset since the addition of the mod?
you click it onto the capsid, but you will have to update the alexs mobs mod first as its bugged

Step 2. Get item (gear or book) with enchant you want to improve

and do i get the stats if i wear it in that
I've noticed this too after updating to v47 of BMC5 Neoforge. Not the end of the world for me tho as I just hide my backpack anyway, but I do agree that it is no longer accessible. If you click the wrench icon, it only shows some config options.
I understand the FTB Teams chunk loading doesnt work on crop growth and sugar cane only grows well in one season is there a good paper farm I can make thats better than sugar cane and any way to forceload said farm so I can get paper while away?
If you give it a roof it grows no matter the season
Ohhhh that's incredible helpful!
I tried to find a dynamic light speed setting but I couldn't find it. I did find a separate dynamic handheld lighting option that was in the main Sodium settings and not in the Iris shader settings that when hovered over with the mouse said to turn off if handheld lighting is enabled in the shaders. Once I turned that off it fixed it.

Hello! I’m trying to play BMC on LegionGo, I normally use controllable to get the joysticks to work, but for some reason it’s not working, the mod is in there I can see the icon but nothing I do seems to work? Any tips
the controls specifically don’t work in the game? are you using a different launcher than you usually use?
Launching it from forge like usual. Works fine in ATM, but not for BMC
Hello Im new to BMC, but what are the huge differences between BMC 4 and 5?
Whats the best version of bmc
how do i share my world with my friend

I am new to not only this mod, but also pc. I am clueless, so please be patient if I ask dumb questions 😅
With the help of my boyfriend, I have downloaded curseforge and have looked into BMC4.
However, it wouldn’t work. Through research, he figured out a way to make his work using the ‘essential mod’ which is stated here is incompatible. I followed the same steps as him but I can’t get mine to work.
If I was to remove the essential mod from BMC4 mod, neither of ours will work. We aren’t sure where to go from here, I was looking for some support to get it functioning please.
We are both using the up to date (Vs.55.5) mod.

I didn’t realize the modpack had warp plates and cages
its explained in the questbook
warp plates arent in the questbook yet but will be next update
but yes theres a quest for cages

thank you for the reply chloe, i found that it doesn’t yesterday and i added this mod for the backport which seems to be the nicest implementation since it integrates the trials chamber with other mods in the bmc pack! thought id let you know in case anyone else has a similar question.
lowkey im just gonna try reinstalling the modpack through ATL ive had issues in the past with curseforge not properly installing modpacks before so maybe that'll fix it

is it possible to open a server on an already created world? im currently selfhosting a world, but i want to replace the new world that was created with the server with a world that is already existing.
Hi im playing the BMC5 modpack, when i walk inside a building my fps drops from like 160 to 50 for 5 seconds then goes back up this also happens when i walk outside, i am using shaders.
solved
Hi, has anyone else experienced the same problem as me? When playing and switching tabs to YouTube or another website, my entire PC lags (this doesn't happen with other modpacks). Does anyone know the solution?
Hello I was just wondering if there was any possible way to add apotheosis to bettermc for 1.20.1 on forge 47.4.13
Im assuming the only way is to completely "forgify" bettermc instead of using fabric connectors
is 8 gb recommened for a server with 2 people
i added apotheosis to 1.21.1 neoforge without any issues @pearl kite dunno about 1.20.1 forge tho
bettermcs latest version is for 1.20.1?
or is there a bettermc on neoforge for 1.21.1
bettermc on neoforge for 1.21.1
ok cool ill test it thank you
is there a way to local host without the built in e4mc (BMC5)
or an option to remove e4mc

You can self host, is that what you're asking for?
no i just want the default local option
I think it should still work even with our mod
But LAN is not the best with modded tbh
no it gets replaced by the share world thing from e4mc
I would just advise to self host, it's ot difficult
you can just remove luna - but its really not recommended to use LAN, self hosting is more stable and easy
i tried but it didnt really work, still had the share world option
its probably just the fancy menu in the pack changing the button name
w/o luna installed it would just open to lan since thats what the menu leads to
it still did the whole lan process, i can try again later to double confirm tho

!updatemods
Do NOT Update Mods Manually!
Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.
is there a way to carry/move villagers ?
Use easy villager mod. It lets you take villagers into your inventory. Or just use a dragon and a boat to move 2 villagers at once

Please note as well that this is a static command, it does not change/know when servers are full or not
!drivers
You (likely) need to update your graphics drivers in order to resolve the crash. Here's how to go about doing that!
1. Identify your graphics card
if you already know skip to the next step
- Open task manager
- Navigate to the "Performance" tab (on Windows 11 this is the button that looks like a heart pulse)
- Press the GPU 0 graph and read your GPU from the top right
Note:
In some cases you may see a GPU 0 and GPU 1. This means your CPU has its own GPU, as well as a dedicated one. You probably want GPU 1 (which is usually the better one), but you can ask staff to clarify if necessary.
2. Download your drivers from the manufacturers site
Depending on what you read before, you likely need drivers from either AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA
AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support
Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html
NVIDIA: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Note:
- For NVIDIA you want to select "Game Ready Driver (GRD)" (this is the default option) for the best performance. Once installing you'd probably prefer downloading GeForce Experience, which will notify you when there's an available drivers update.
- For Intel, you probably want to press "Get Started" under the "Automatically update your drivers and software", which will simplify the process and update everything automatically
- For AMD you probably want to just press "Download Windows Drivers", which will download something called AMD Adrenaline, which will update your drivers automatically.
3. Run the installation, restart your computer, and try playing MC again
- At this point, hopefully your Minecraft is running. If it still does not work, please post any new logs and staff will help assist you with finding the right solution.

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.

Will the update help?
theres no way of knowing
but we don't offer any support for old versions
it had said "reinstall" like it downloaded it before and everytime i load it back up its stuck at 100%
I updated and the error occurred, and I went into the old world I was playing on and the error remained.
The game doesn't crash, it just freezes until an error occurs and it's impossible to play. Maybe you can just remove the freeze or fix the error completely?
remove the c2me mod
this?
There is a bug and now there are more chunks with this bug.
How can i see my friends on the map?
send logs please
Please read the full contents of the #get-support channel for us to provide assistance.
Yo, so I installed BMC4 Forge. But everytime I try playing on Fullscreen or Borderless it instantly crashes. Can anyone suggest a way to fix it?
Hello i downloaded bmc4 including 3 more friends, we played about an hour with no problem after that it started to say ''an error occured in luna'' and dont know how to fix it. is there a limit on how many hours we can play or something else?
where does one find a crane for that quest? when looking it up it says "marsh" biome but the only marsh biome in the modpack is "white mangrove marshes", is that where you find it or is it somewhere else w/ the Oh The Biomes We've Gone biome tags? i've tried looking at white mangrove marshes but haven't had any luck
Is there a command to see friends on the map and in the world?
probably in minimap settings
Yeah i cant seem to find anything for it
open your minimap and click the icon that's second from the bottom/above the waypoints menu, it's for tracking players. idk if it's exactly what you need since i'm on singleplayer but it sounds closest

press "o" (default keybind) and it'll open the "parties and claims player config menu"
there you can go to "default player config"
and you can enable "receive mutual ally positions" which shows them on the minimap
you can also type in their username and then "edit config"
also if you go to "my player config" you can enable/disable sharing your position
video included to show the steps
are you getting a crash log that pops up after it crashes?
hallo How do I hold the annihilator in both hands
YES
ou sorry caps
any1 know why my better mc crashes, i got amd gpu but i tried reinstaling the drivers to more openlg compatible but it still did nothin
when my girlfriend tries to join my open world where does she put the port code?
a question to anyone who knows in what order should i do the worlds in better mc5
?
when i try to join my girlfriends world it says network unreachable how do i fix that?
turning off my firewalls helped
if shes using dns etc, try to flush those and try it again
what is dns?
ive been trying to find "when the dungeons arise" structures but cant find any? has anyone been dealing w this? are they that rare?
not a single helper in sight i might ping a random one if i dont get a reply soon...
nvm!
u will just get told not to do that
you dont use the port code for world sharing
what is it used for?
in vanilla its just for LAN - world sharing isnt the same as lan
right but please explain to me how i can join my girlfriends world when all we have is the portcode?
im sorry that i seem so impatient its just that ive been trying to figure it out since its my first time trying to join a world of anyones and loads of stuff happened today
if you're not getting an ip address with it when hitting share world then luna is either not working or just full - which in that case you'd have to try again later or seek alternate methods such as self-hosting
thank you so incredibly much, you actually helped out more than any other person in this server
!server
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
top paragraph self-hsoting which is free

I cannot get the world sharing to work no matter what I do can someone please help?
so i did exactly that and it still tells me i cant play with essential
same @copper sorrel
We do not provide help with that subject
then you did not do it right and we cannot assist further than the instructions listed there

Hello, every time I try to start, the game attempts to start and then crashes with no crash report. Doesn't matter is i use the mojang launcher or the curseforge

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
can you go into cmd and type java -version
i feel like this is the issue. it finds something it just cant read
other servers i have run just fine, its just this one even on a fresh install of the server pack
How do you run it?
?
with the start.bat
or are you asking something else
Can you show your variables.txt ?
oh god i don't know what any of this means...I'm scared for my turn...
Ok, and user_jvm_args?
zero edits have been made to these and there isnt any irregular text in them so it makes no sense
It does make zero sense, I agree
any reccomendations 😆
id love to figure this out so i can play with friends
Can you move the server files outside of OneDrive?
sure
Can do into something like C:\server\ or smth
cant fit in my c but i def move it to another ssd
same thing unfortunately
although it seems to have given more text in the prompt
Try to redo the whole thing in a folder outside of OneDrive (as it does like to mess up server files sometimes)
Like start from scratch
winrar is alright for extracting it right?
Should be fine, i use 7-zip cause it's free
the only other thing is that the ps1 files show powershell and never did before, not sure if that could mess anything up
It should go via powershell, yes
otherwise same problem
That's intended
with the free hosting, im running into a problem making the seever. i powerhsell the server file and it says 'could not load or find main class user_jvm_arg.txt? whast this and how do i fix
You need to install Java 21, instead of 8
ok thanks
is anyone able to vc to MAYBE figure this out
I've no idea. It does look like some file corruption (due to random characters), but not sure why that would be
you think if i get one of my friends to download the pack and send over the files directly itd fix it? or is happening when i run the bat
but now it says 'java.lang.error: coimmand line option has attempted to allow ro enablke teh security manager'
Apologies if this isn't the right server or channel, but I'm trying to get a BMC4 server started using itzg docker image and compose file, running into a pretty hard to parse error. Does anyone have experience with this type of configuration?
Can you show the full error?
may I have a turn soon too assuming its a stupid and/or easy fix?
i dmd

Try this first
You sure you installed Java 21, and not 25 for example?
does 25 not work?
It might work if you change use ssj in variables.txt to false
That should disable security manager
(as it's not compatible with newest java)
let me try
aha! seems like its woprking
brochacho
i figured it out
i believe
just for future reference if someone else has the issue
needed to delete jabba cache i believe and reinstall
Nice
also, should people be able to join froma public or private ip if im not portforwarding?
If you don't port forward, then it's impossible for people to join from outside of the home network
right ok

Looking at the problematic frame - it seems like a driver issue
Is anyone able to help with this (or direct me to where I should be asking for help)?

World Sharing servers are likely currently at capacity
If you or your friend are receiving an error such as "An error occurred in Luna", or "Connection refused: no further information" when trying to play through "Open to LAN" or "Share World", it's likely that Luna's servers (used for world sharing) are currently full. We don't have a way to notify you when slots on our servers free up, but you are welcome to try again later.
We understand and recognize that this may be inconvenient, so we recommend in this case to host or rent your own server. Self-hosting is free, for more information on hosting options, type !server in #bots.
Please note as well that this is a static command, it does not change/know when servers are full or not
!ca

Stage 1
Consider checking if there is an updated driver (on vendor website, not in the app), if you're at latest - consider reinstalling.Stage 2
If that doesn't help - try using DDU (guides on YT).Stage 3
If that doesn't help - try to rollback the driver to an older version (there should be guides on YT as well)

Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

could anyone please tell me which version of better mc that has gobber mod

i appreciate you
I get this error when running the modpack that I can do?
what launcher are you using
launcher premiun the minecraft
!vanilla
It seems as you are trying to use the standard Minecraft launcher!
To run our packs properly, you will need to have a modded launcher, as it will install the pack for you, making it so you don't have a ton of mods/configs removed & end up crashing due to such.
Our most recommended launcher is ATLauncher, which you can find step by step instructions on by running the command !alternates in #bots . If you prefer a more modern interface, Prism comes recommended as well. Any other launchers we can't guarantee any issues won't arise, so it's best to save the trouble and use ATL/Prism.
none
(there's no such thing as premium) You either own it or don't.
its never had gobber
thats weird i guess im mistaken but i coulda sworn on one of the earliest versions i played maybe bmc1-2 it was there
I have this
that means you do infact own it, but you need a modded launcher like atlauncher, prism, curse (not recommended, lots of issues)
its subjective which to pick as both come very recommended

I have the same issue at the moment, only for me it usually never crashes…
If it still does not work, please post any new logs and staff will help assist you with finding the right solution.
i had reinstalled and updated my drivers abt an hour before those logs,,? i can try again tho
yea the website says they're up to date://

Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.
on top of the updated mods to remove the better dimensions mods youd need to remove bclib too and a couple of datapacks
so no your issue wasnt driver related
in your instance folder
configs > paxi > datapacks
remove BE_default_endgen_fix_1.20.x.zip
if you're still crashing after removing the datapack and bclib and downgrading your mods back, paste new logs
Thanks! Could you tell me how i downgrade my mods?
it'd be better to reinstall the pack fresh
will that inpackt my single player world tho?
you can move your world over.
how? ❤️

!betterendforge
if you are experiencing an error with the "betterendforge" mod requiring a game version lower than 1.17, then you have likely hit "update" on individual mods, and/or the "update all" button. this only happens if you updated the betterend mod in one of those ways, & you should NOT update mods, reasoning to why you shouldn't and how to fix it can be found by running the!updatemods command in #bots.
this error happens as CurseForge mistakes an old forge port of betterend as the one in the pack, and tries updating to the forge version. the forge version of the mod has not been a thing since 1.16, which is why it throws this error.
no, we have no control over it doing that, no we cannot fix that. your most likely option for it being fixed in the future to bring it up to CurseForge support.

Tried it again after updating nvidia drivers and swapped from integrated to nvidia and the same thing happend but it looks like the crash report is a little different this time. It didn't automatically remove a mod.
