then you and the server are on dif vers of the pack
More than 3 logs were uploaded in one message, won't upload.

Inventory Sorter
Iron Chests
Builders' Jetpack Mod
Tax Free Levels
Ender Dragon Loot

It works well, we just got 2 crashes in last 20 minutes, and now its fine, but sometimes it crashes.
-
I don't know actually what steps causes crash, cuz there are 3-4 players on the server, and we didn't come to the conclusion

You are using a modified version of the modpack!
Adding, removing, or updating large amounts of mods without testing any of your changes is **not **a good idea, and it is very unlikely that anyone will want to debug your issue for you. Please test the changes you make in small groups, as opposed to doing all of the changes at once.
If you want further support for your issue, someone may respond to you in the channel for the modpack you based your changes off, but please only post once. You may also have better luck in #1061339968691257466.
Yes I tested one mod per mod and everythings is fine and running well, we got those crashes after 4-5 hours of palying without single crash.
I'm newbie but I think those crash reports have nothing to do with those additional mods that I added
GUYS I think I found me if someeone can help me, I think from those crash reports that azurelib + easyAnvils have some kind of conflict. It seems like when using anvil I'm triggering those crashes. Problematic code: azurelib$compareStacksWithAzureID
Maybe I should in config disabled AzureLib Item ID checking

5-6 friends decided to play BMC5 for the first time. We were going to farm XP, so we set up two separate piglin mob farms in Nether. While mobs kept spawning in one, the other farm didn't work. So we decided to make one in the overworld, but that didn't work either. Is there any chance something in the mod pack is restricting us? For example, we want to make a creeper farm, but we're not sure if it will work.
are the chunks loaded?
vanilla 1.21 broke some pigling farms

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.
This video explains the process: https://youtu.be/xMYW1wMbmkM
To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
can u try on prism like i suggested last night #better-mc-forge message
okay i will try
Yeah, it works on Prism. CurseForge doesn't work for me at all? Only on BM4?
curseforge cant work with macs with m series chips a lot on 1.20.1 or lower due to it using java 17, and an error can happen with javs 17 on m series chips. cf doesnt allow you to change the java version used so can't really do anything abt it
Hi i am getting a notification adn cant get in the game. I am using 1.20.1 - Forge and v36 better mc modpack. The notification is "You have added an extra mod to this mod pack...[goes on]" but ı didnt add anything. Can you help me
!compat also v36 is like almost 20 vers outdated
Following mods are incompatible with all LPS modpacks: Epic Fight, Valkerian Skies, Eureka Ships, Essential (use !ea), optifine (use !optifine), clockwork, e4mc (use !ws) and on (for the moment, wait on devs to do updates to their packs, do not update it yourself)
well, ı will try it new version of it. thanks a lot
is there a big difference between better mc 4 and 5, is it worth to grind on better mc 5 when i started playing on bmc 4
its very slight differences and most ppl perfer bmc4 over 5
was there a recent update by chance for BMC5? I was able to play it last night but now I can't.
no its last update was a couple weeks ago #announcements
I thought so. I don't know its just being a real pain rn. It's mainly saying stuff like "This channel is missing on the server side, but required on the client"
what launcher and how is server hosted?
Hi, I have a 3rd party service running a BETTER MC 1.20.1 v53 server for me and a few friends. Today, we tried to join the 'twilight realm'. When we did, the server instantly crashed and now we cannot open ther server/world.
CurseForge and ApexHosting
That's AI answer (so useless) - post the logs here
Yes, OwO is a mod
Post logs from server and client please
Also, all players cannot join, or only one?
all of us now. Though, last night my friends were playing fine
is it only affecting client side, or also server?
Like can ya'll join single player ok?
Sounds like Twilight Forest is just being a pain again
wetland is a mod you added yeah?
no wetland comes in the pack
No, it came with
did you try updating mods manually or anything
Even before i Updated them it did this hold up
you shouldn't be updating mods which is why i asked
it just seems like the server is missing mods randomly id probably contact your host support if it was working fine before
Did you add serverpack yourself, or did you use a preinstall method from apex?
preinstall from apex
Where do I find the logs
ofc. apex busted the serverpack
!logs
To better assist with fixing your issue, we will need some logs:
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- MultiMC -> Select your instance and click „Instance Folder” on the right.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
- For servers -> Open the folder containing your server files.
To find the „latest.log” file, navigate to the 'logs' folder.
To find the „hs_err_pid.log” file, simply look for the file name after opening the instance folder.
To find a crash report, navigate to the „crash-reports” folder and find the most recent file after your crash occurred.
Once located, please upload the requested file here. If it fails, upload to https://mclo.gs/ and share the link here.
!alternates we've had quite a few issues out of apex, but if you wanna truly keep using it then just add the serverpack yourself, download it from curseforge website, not the app

im assuming all progress will be lost then right?
shitty lol
I do highly suggest switching hosts, or self hosting from your own pc if you can, as we cannot promise it'll be stable
any hosts that reccomend ?
Bisect is our top recommendation
ok ill check that out. Thank you very much for your time
no problem! We do have a code as well with them if you'd like a bit of a discount as well for using them
where would I find this by chance?

Free Method
To host a server on your own computer, read the selfhosting guide.
This guide goes over how to install, create, and launch a free Minecraft server on all operating systems (MacOS, Linux and Windows). The guide also guides you through installing Java and optimizing your server for better performance.
If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.
Paid Method
We suggest renting a server from Bisect Hosting:
Approx. $10 - $25 a month depending on what plan you choose. You can also get 25% off with Code LunaPixel.
Go here and order a plan which fits you. We suggest 1GB per player but nothing lower than 4GB as the server needs at least 3GB to run.
Go to #server-hosting for more Info!
The following advice works for both the Free and Paid methods:
Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
how much ram is good if i want to get a good performance with bmc4 ?
i mean ram to get a paid server
how many players?
Heylo! I am running into an issue with EveryCompat+Chipped, which may have been solved already (I'm using v50), but basically, recipes for these combined items don't exist. I can get some of them to work through Blue Skies' Alchemist Table, but things like (Twilight Forest) Canopy Pointless Trapdoors or (Biomes O' Plenty) Monterey Vined Trapdoors I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get. Chipped's crafting does not show any recipes for those blocks
Am I just out of luck, trying to get these trapdoors?
6-8 gigs is fine
update modpack
u sure ?
cuz it say i need 10gb to run the modpack smoothly
Sorry, I know this is annoying, but is that the definite solution? The server's owner does not like updating it, and it will be a significant journey to convince them, lol.
Should always be using the latest version of the pack, it's not like Chloe is updating the pack every single day and it's not that hard to do
we also cant help if on outdated versions
i mean first time when i use bmc4 it say that it need at least to have 10gb for smoothness
There's a lot of stuff that gets fixed when the pack updates
10 is the absolute max ram if on single player, but if you only have 16 gigs you should use 8 max
Even higher than 16 gigs, I don't recommend going beyond 9 gigs ram pushed to the pack
this is abt server side
they were saying that the pack displayed the recommended ram thing
Minecraft cannot handle too much ram on player side
so 6 to 8 ram is good to run a smooth server right ?
yes for 3-5 players
no problem
hey sorry to bother i've set up a bmc5 server on 1.21.1 (if its relevant: on a ubuntu server (dont know the exact build)) for my friends and we've just crafted the incinerator. big problem is now, it does no damage.. for example I can use its right click ability and it does huge damage but with a normal left click it does nothing. the infernal forge for example has a tag which says "13 Attack Damage" which is missing on the incinerator. Does Anyone know by anychance how i fix that? ^^'
screenshots for reference
also found this. I guess that the 13.0d modifier should in theory add the attack damage?
found the problem: a friend wanted PSI installed. this caused the bug

heyyy does anyone know why there is no icon for the goblin trader on the minimap for bmc4 ?
anyone know why a slime spawner i found just isnt spawning slimes? I mean like the actual mob spawner block not a player built mob spawner. BMC4
minecraft villagers are the most annoying creatures in the history of any game
What's the best version of the BETTER MC mod? The one with the most items and other features, in your opinion?
yes it is we thought there was an error in one of the pig farms, so we created a classic mob farm for the world, but that one isn't working either.
my friend died while loading in now no one can join my world when they try to does anyone know a fix
can I remove the simple storage mod mid playthrough or will that mess everything up? i wanna fix everything up in my base but breaking 1 cable crashes my game, i know its cause its not maintained so i was thinking of just deleting it, im BMC4, curseforge if that matters
do the potion of infestation farms not work on this modpack? i have the cursforge better mc5 1.21.1 mod and my farm with allays doesent work.
what blocks does the slingshot even shoot

Hi, idk if this is for better Minecraft but whatever, I’m trying to play with my friend in this mod because it’s unreal but I genuinely don’t know how to, please can someone help me
!ws
Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
!server world sharing is more for temporary servers like playing once in a blue moon, servers will be better for long term stuff

Hey i want to update my bmc5 server from v40 to v42 and in the video it says i should just replace the old files with the new ones but i only have config and mods and no defaultconfigs ?
In that case I would suggest to delete just config and mods from your host, and upload the ones from v42 zip

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
you put that in direct connect
oh ok thx
it says the iam using farmersdelight mod version 1.2.8 but i need 1.2.9

Guys is the mod working? , because when i try to install it, it just opens forge!
I'm using curse forge
can you hit "copy all" at the bottom of the crash assistant screen it formats it a lot nicer to help properly
of course! Better MC 5 - v42 crashed without a crash report. The logs have been uploaded to mclo.gs:
- 1.21.1 [NEOFORGE]
- What launcher did you run Minecraft with? (e.g. CurseForge, ATLauncher, MultiMC, ...)
- Have you changed the modpack in any way except mods?
- v42
- Have you ever gotten past the crash condition without crashing, or does the game always crash?
- What steps cause the crash?

!updatemods
Do NOT Update Mods Manually!
Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.
Hi there im bmc player and back then many structures would spawn nearby and many of them was founding easy bout now it's really hard to find a simple structure!! Why is that and pls fix this
they are updated
i only updated it cause it crashed, so tried doing something different
if its crashing after a reinstall test your changes one at a time
May I ask why ETF and EMF are in the modpack if the modpack does not contain resource packs that require them?

Hello why is this happening ?
!alternates
You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
i get getsockopt message when i try to play with my girlfirend on lan? what can i do, ive tried everything

!server - try install server on your PC
In the Single Player menu you should have an option to create a new world
!ea
The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the #bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. To learn more about alternatives to the Essential mod, check out this website.
For the server with friends also?
What kind of server? Paid hosting?
Yes
Or self host?
Is someone around who can help me?
had problems with self host on lan
In your server find the "world" folder - and rename it (or delete) - and then restart the server

i quite alr replied to you to just ask your question instead of asking to ask earlier
self hosting is dif than lan
Nobody will provide any help to "anyone can help me"
whoops.. but yeah having getsockopt in lan. annoys me bigtime
yes which is why syntheer suggested to self host instead

v48 is very very old, please update to v53
foolproof is already updated in every bmc pack's latest version
does it persist with colorwheel & vanillin mods removed
the big green text that says "auto-fix"
Good to know - I didn't notice it's an outdated version
We are working on on improving this.
What made you to make screenshot of this screen and post question instead of clicking big green auto fix button?
How would you improve it to be more clear and be less confusing for you?
ive got a memory leak. how do i fix it?

i litreally cant find netherite template did they changed how to get it?
hey so my buddy and I started playing a world together yesterday hes hosting it, we played all day yesterday fine but today i keep lagging out and disconnecting, any ideas why that may be happening?
big fan of snow and ice during winter being removed because i literally abandoned a world (~1.5 ago) because the snow just never melted lol
just a quick question, are there any better chest than the nether chest in stack number size or is it the best in BetterMC4? Thanks guys!
Playing v52 and there is no dragon whistles for Dragon Mount Legacy. Is this intentional?
dragon mount legacy doesnt have dragon whistles in the mod in general
do i just have to manually keep track of my dragon then?
i believe so yeah

Yeah, like what Thricebite said, please do not mass ping staff just to ask for help with something.
sorrry
True thats such a good change
Its so weird serene seasons doesnt have a config
Literally spent hours trying to get the snow to melt and I figured out some /clear codes but it wouldn’t clear any snow that intersected with like grass.. or flowers…
So.. it was awful. In future worlds we’d immediately set snow to off from fear of it happening again lol
it does 😭 u can turn off ice/snow fall in winter in the config, its just turned off by default now
I typed /config and nothing showed up for all the options i looked thru
Thats really dumb methinks
am I doing something wrong? 😭
the server youre trying to join is not a bmc server as its on ver 1.21.10
so how do I get or make a bmc server

We don't support Aternos nor can we assist you with using it for reasons listed below;
- You are unable to add / edit the mods to implement a fix that can be game changing at times.
- We are unable to control the updates of our packs on Aternos, nor ever will.
- The hosting is not strong enough to host our packs on there without it crashing every so often.
- We have other free methods that work much better than Aternos does. Run the !ws command and the !server command in #bots for more information on how to host a server for free.

you'd have to contact the server hosting support
we dont own a server rental service, we're only partnered with bisect
how can i get help pls
you ask your question instead of asking how
Are there alternate partners? I can use instead that are recommended for BMC4?

is this in regards to a single player or server crash?
im trying to do a multiplayer for just two people but i dont know how, I have read something about a mod that allows you to invite your friends over so i just tried to start as singleplayer an then invite her over
i got the essentials notification and i was not aware of its problem so i uninstalled it
there's a mod for that already in the pack, also you have made quite a few changes to the pack, your friend is gonna need the same changes, but also updating and removing random mods is gonna cause a lot of problems.
What launcher you using?
curseforge
can you load up single player at all currently
i try to load but i get crashed when its almost in the end
but the world has been created
should i install the mod pack again without updating?
Redownload the pack, try without your changes first and foremost
and once i have it done how should i start the multiplayer?

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
incompatible vanilla server when trying to share world
Just wanted to let you guys know I really appreciate you guys telling me to update. I updated a singleplayer world to the latest, and it did fix the recipie problems I was having, and I was able to succesfully convince the server owner to update because of y'all.
Super thankful for all your guys' efforts.
and incompatible version, even though we have downloaded the exact same thing

Anybody know why my villagers won't breed? Ive set a breeder many of times and never had a problem.
if i purchase a server, does my friend need to purchase one as well to play on it?
no they just need the pack installed
Any chance Tettonic comes to bmc5?
probably not
would be a bit late into the modpacks span to randomly throw in another world gen mod
good point lol
once i buy a server from the bisect website, how can i join up or add it to my game?
whenever my friend tries to join my world when i world share it just says connection failed were using v53

could someone help me with a better MC5 crashing issue?
any help on this?

is there a way to turn of the weird 3d effect the outer layer of my skin has?
If you're talking about what I think, you press escape, press Skin Customization, and turn most if not all of the options off.
nah that just removed the second layer completely
ill get a ss
its most visible on my jacket, the pixels on the outer layer are normally 2d but on this modpack theyre not and it looks really ugly
try removing "sodiumoptionsmodcompat-neoforge-1.0.0-1.21.1.jar"
lmk if it fixes
why does my powershell close immediately when running the server, I did both the unblock thing in powershell and set execution policy to remote signed

If there is no log, navigate to the base pack directory and upload the hs_err_pid file, if there is one.
ty you can keep it removed for now you will miss a few tabs in video settings though

upload the file here
a bot will upload it to a website and send the link here
Uploaded latest.log from @wet moon to mclogs: https://mclo.gs/zOjUKga
ill explain what I did, I copied the mods from the server pack to my client side on ATLauncher in order to have the same mods etc
you are crashing because of that
sick
just install the pack normally on atlauncher
aight
you need to have the client side mods to play properly
u know if sophisticated backpacks works with bettermc?
it worked thx boss, ima try adding some mods like sophisticated backpack, better villages and minecolonies, I just wana know if these mods would cause any problems if I add it to the server mods?
youd need to test
seems to work so far
you cant add client sided mods to the server side so if it crashes there isn't much you can do about them
Hey guys, I need support with Better MC, but it's the neoforge version. Can I paste the crash here?

Please follow the performance guide to improve your game performance, as this is likely to resolve your issue. If your lag is unresolved, send a screenshot with F3 open ingame.
Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.
its the same as vanilla
will release a fix ty

Is there a way to force a regeneration of the nether? I just went in and it is a massive basalt biome. Thousands of blocks square. Possibly the worst generation I've seen.

Are there copper tools yet?
no
Any plans for them? Definitely my favorite feature from 1.21
what modpack are you on
Also, I have been playing on a mostly new world on the old neoforge version for a couple of days now, would you say it’s ok to keep the same world when I update the modpack or will that mess stuff like the oceans up?
yes its safe to update
since you're on 1.21.1 then its up to the vanilla backport mod backporting copper tools
I’m mainly hoping that when it happens, we’ll get stuff like copper rings and gloves to synergize with the aether mod
anybody know how to fix server lags with better minecraft?
its been freezing every few seconds
!tps
Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.
For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide.
Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.
If lag persists, run the following command ingame:
/spark profiler start --only-ticks-over 50
Then, send the link in this channel.

how do i play better mc multiplayer without using essentials
essentials doesnt work anymore
Hello, im hosting server for my friends and have problem with neoforge bmc5, after last update i can't update or even start server after fresh install, always this error. What can i do?
i updated to 43.5
igxelpicd64 is an Intel driver - so you should probably look into that (update, reinstall)
That looks like bad install. Make sure to use serverpack file to update
I tried to completly reinstall modpack and same thing happend
Oh, 43.5 doesn't have serverpack yet, I see
!serverpack
If you are unable to find the serverpack on Curseforge, it is most likely not approved by Curseforge yet. If you want to create your own Server Pack follow the steps below;
How to create a Server Pack:
- Download ServerPackCreator and run it.
- Set the Modpack Directory to where you installed the modpack.
- Set the Minecraft Version, Modloader and Modloader Version of the Modpack.
- Press Generate.
How to use the Server Pack:
- Right click the start.ps1 file and click Run with Powershell.
- To join your own server, type localhost into Direct Connect.
This video explains the process https://youtu.be/tLTC6wYcWVM
The server IP address is your Public IP Address, which can be found by googling "my ip address".
If other players are unable to join, find a portforwarding guide online.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

no you need to update the pack yourself
!updatemodpack
To properly update the modpack you're playing, it depends on the launcher you are using. This video can explains it on CurseForge launcher, and the same method can be used on other launchers as well, but it's not necessary to use this method on others.
-
CurseForge - See above video
-
PrismLauncher -> Select your instance, and click "Edit" on the right. the 3rd tab down will say "CurseForge", click on it, and there will be a dropdown menu, if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it. click "Update Pack". Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to liscensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, the "Open Missing" will be grayed out. You can click 'Continue" at this point, and it will finish the update process and tell you when its successful.
-
ATLauncher - Under the "Instances" tab, find the pack you would like to update. there will be an "Update" button. There will be a dropdown menu, and if not already selected, the latest version of the pack will be at the top of it to select. Click "Update" once selected. Sometimes there will be new mods to manually download due to licensing issues, click "Open Missing" and it will automatically download and checked, and copied to the instance folder. It's safe to delete these mods in your downloads folder once done. Once all are detected, You can click "OK ", and it will finish the update process.

- v53
- Have you ever gotten past the crash condition without crashing, or does the game always crash?
- What steps cause the crash?

I'm in the process of trying to update my server as well to v43.5. Is there a reliable way to update the pack or should we just stay on v42?
yes that would be good to know
i imagine you would need to update them both to the latest version but i can't seem to find anything on that or the process either

Skull on head.
You accidentally shift-clicked it onto yourself, didn't you
chat how do i use the share world thing
!ws
questbook is your best guide

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
they need to be manually approved by curseforge it takes usually within a day

You need to either do it from the console by using the gamemode (same as vanilla), or you need to op yourself and do the same from the game
how do i op myself
Type op <username> in the server console
I should probably know this, but how do I port my world from v42 to v43?
Thank you for patiently waiting on this. I've spoken with our Jar Team, and it appears that the developer of this modpack hasn't uploaded the official server files yet. We attempted to upload the pack using the client files, but unfortunately, this caused the server to crash. To ensure your server remains stable and performs as smoothly as possible, it's best to wait until the proper server files are available.
At this time, we don't have an ETA, as we're waiting on the developers to release the necessary files. Please rest assured that we’re actively monitoring this pack, as many users are also requesting the update. As soon as the server files are released, we’ll have them uploaded right away.
Apologies for the delay, and thank you again for your understanding and patience.
this is from Bisect Hosting... any ETA?
Should do it auto when you update it no?
I opened the new version of the modpack from curseforge and my world isn't there
how do I access it? @wheat socket
It's prob different for me, i run a Bisect server and the world is always auto ported. Sorry i cant be more of a help lol
It's alright, I'll figure it out. I just built an awesome mineshaft so I don't wanna start over
Don't blame you
no as cf has to manully approve the server files, its usually within a day of modpack update but since its up to cf we dont really have an eta
if you created a seperate instance for v43 youd open the files on the old one to transfer it i think the cf update pack vid we have explains it in the 2nd method
Once all are detected, You can click "OK ", and it will finish the update process.

hello :D
im running into a problem where if i look at a player model, whether it be from f5, multiplayer, or the corpse mod, my fps drop from 130ish to like 20-30 😭
Not everybody can afford a computer
I haven't had a computer in ages
Stupid parents refuse to give me one even though I'm 20 now
okay 😭 minecraft isnt a necessity
Don't be a jerk
besides performance is very bad on pojav either way
vanilla runs iffy, let alone a big modpack like better mc
That's true
you're the one complaining about not being able to afford a computer because we dont support mobile
i literally dont know what u want me to do abt that like damn that sucks we cant do anything abt that
No it's okay I understand that you don't support it it just sucks
java nor mods are made to work on mobile devices
Have a nice day
so um... about my.. problem.. :3
im not rlly all that skiled to know that youd have to wait for the dec to backread n stuff to respond to it

!drivers
You (likely) need to update your graphics drivers in order to resolve the crash. Here's how to go about doing that!
1. Identify your graphics card
if you already know skip to the next step
- Open task manager
- Navigate to the "Performance" tab (on Windows 11 this is the button that looks like a heart pulse)
- Press the GPU 0 graph and read your GPU from the top right
Note:
In some cases you may see a GPU 0 and GPU 1. This means your CPU has its own GPU, as well as a dedicated one. You probably want GPU 1 (which is usually the better one), but you can ask staff to clarify if necessary.
2. Download your drivers from the manufacturers site
Depending on what you read before, you likely need drivers from either AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA
AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support
Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html
NVIDIA: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Note:
- For NVIDIA you want to select "Game Ready Driver (GRD)" (this is the default option) for the best performance. Once installing you'd probably prefer downloading GeForce Experience, which will notify you when there's an available drivers update.
- For Intel, you probably want to press "Get Started" under the "Automatically update your drivers and software", which will simplify the process and update everything automatically
- For AMD you probably want to just press "Download Windows Drivers", which will download something called AMD Adrenaline, which will update your drivers automatically.
3. Run the installation, restart your computer, and try playing MC again
- At this point, hopefully your Minecraft is running. If it still does not work, please post any new logs and staff will help assist you with finding the right solution.
serverpack is currently not supported, give it some time
Give our support team a shout, we will be happy to assist with clearing up that mismatched mods list. https://help.bisecthosting.com/hc/en-us

may have major issue will let yall know details soon
My BMC5 server wont start and i had users waiting for it to come back online after updating to V43.5
https://mclo.gs/w7PuYPW
considering the server files for v43.5 arent even out yet im not sure how you even updated
My dashboard had it in it already
ill revert to v42 and hope that my dashboard sees the new v43 so i dont have to do it manually
is there any way yall can post a notice for 43.5 server pack release when it comes out since it normally comes out with the update
whatever host you have made their own server files or something because theyre not even up on cf yet to be uploaded on hosting services
just keep checking if theres an additional file on the cf site
it looks to be using the regular pack files all the client stuff is enabled
probably just bug
should probably talk to the hosting support abt that
Crashing every time. So frustrating. Updated mod packs and MC Forge. Crashing everytime now. Why is it so hard for this to work when you update? Do i just revert back? How do i do that?

Curseforge, just reinstalled the pack and added some mods of my own - when i created a new world, it was stuck at 100% loading
They don't apply nor do i see them in the list
And I used recommended 10,000 mb set by author
unless they're just the complementary, even then i press apply and nothing changes
im just deleting the pack and redownloading
Just realized I was asking for help under the wrong version... I am trying to set up a game to play with my kid in the next room. WE connected with the free built in stuff a few times but it no longer works right.

So what is next step?
you run the start file thats the windows batch type
from here you can follow the self hosting guide
!server
I am following the guide.. but still not working..
now uploaded and approved
its released now
Please follow the performance guide to improve your game performance, as this is likely to resolve your issue. If your lag is unresolved, send a screenshot with F3 open ingame.
"isnt working" tells us absolutely nothing
the server files are now uploaded
you need to install java thru the install_java
they do not show up in the shaders tab in the cf launcher, they only show ingame
that is fully intentional
Please follow the performance guide to improve your game performance, as this is likely to resolve your issue. If your lag is unresolved, send a screenshot with F3 open ingame.
that isnt true
Ty so much
OK I tried to install it.. nothing happened

Hello, I see on Curseforge where it says there is built-in, free world sharing but the link to the video seems to be outdated. Is there a better process for world sharing for free?
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
the self help guides are no help... 🙁
we can't help you if you dont give us information
"are no help" doesnt really mean anything
if you asked clarifying questions it'd be much easier for both of us
I have asked dozens and was getting help.. Trying to play with my child in the next room.
you were getting help
think the person got busy
then you asked a question, i answered it, and you replied to someone else and said "same issue"
I did not see that
ok.. missed it sorry.. And I have no clue if it is client or server.
in your case it'd be server
OK I did that graal file thing and nothing.
I do not know.. I really have no clue and the guide is just confusing to me.
okay but you do know though
what happened when you clicked on the file, thats what im asking
a pop up to open it.. I click open and it gives me some text file..
named... download_graal.ps1
you need to right click it and click run with powershell
I have tried that.. I see a window pop up briefly and than close. thats it..
@viral garden and thank you for helping me
hey um when ever we are sharing world in a few minutes it kicks me out and says in chat erorr eccoured in luna
read the guide on the page for how to fix that

hey, whenever i try to share my world it gives me an error
@viral garden OK I followed that video.. and it still won't open.
im not hosting, its a singleplayer world
yes, i know
im telling you to host a server instead of worldsharing
its more stable
you're supposed to do this with the download_graal file
idk what video you followed
The video guide at the top of the github page. it explains how to do that.. I did all that.. still will not work.
does this mean use bisect
please follow the guide
you do not need to use powershell for anything besides java installation if the built-in installer didnt work
i looked at the video and it says copy and paste this thingy into powershell after running as administrator
but idk what to copy and paste since its an outdated video
how do i know if i have java 21
you didnt follow the guide correctly then
you can just install openjdk 21 instead
if you are having issues following the guide
just read the text guide

Hey all! I have been issues with trying to run my BMC4 modpack via Dockge on my TrueNAS setup. I have crash report files I can provide but not sure where I am going wrong. I can also provide my docker compose.yaml if needed.
Uploaded crash-2025-11-08_03.40.25-server.txt from @smoky moth to mclogs: https://mclo.gs/vD9mJ7b
are the minimum system requirements written anywhere? i am hosting the server but my friend has a very old pc. intel i7-5500U, 8GB RAM, GT 940M 2GB VRAM. is this enough to run at low or very low?
is anyone also having trouble launching the game?
they should be fine, allocate 5-6 gigs ram, don't turn shaders on
!fps should also have them follow this, don't use curseforge
i have 6 gigs allocated on the server
client side is separate from server side.
I'm Japanese and don't understand English well, so I use translation.

I'm using the latest server pack to start it.

how is server hosted, on a website like bisect, or from home on your computer
use ATlauncher instead?
!openjdk installing GraalVM 21 will solve your issue
If the issue you're experiencing is clientside, and is not related to a server, then follow the "Java" section in our performance guide for how to switch to a newer, more stable version of Java.
If the issue you're experiencing is serverside, then follow the Java section of our server installation guide.
From my home computer
yes, since they have a low end computer, they have a better chance to use atlauncher, curseforge can pull a lot of resources for no reason.
If they have issues still, they can go down to 4gb ram and still be fine with bmc
Small question, I zipped up my world after installing the wrong v43.5 pack and unzipped the world back in a v42. When I was done a player told me that his chunks had gotten mixed up which I don't know how this coulda happened, sure it coulda been world curropttion but would that have happened if the server could t even start but loading the mods list and some then crashing. Does anyone know a little more about this then me and possible other causes? I'm assuming I could rename the chunks to fix location if it was that I important most likely just gonna let the player rebuild
Modpack: BMC5
you can't back track versions.
I thought so too but it partially worked apart from those chunks, so far no one else has seen any problems.
1 we don't offer support for older versions, but 2. a lot of stuff gets fixed, 3 that's not how packs are gonna work, with the amount of changes made it will harm the world trying to go back versions
Alright 😂 I just figured it would be fine not being started up all the way successfully but I'll just give effected players game mode changes to rebuild, they're trusted anyway
they went back because their hosting service uploaded the clienr pack files as a server pack before the server files was available, not like they did it fo rno reason
I normally would have world backup but my server backups are broken due to large world size and a bug somewhere they're still looking into it after a couple days now
Thank you Hazel
Still it'd be better to wait rather than trying to load into it after pushing to the later version as we don't know what it's gonna do long term wise to the world.
Also: that is really strange of the hosting service to use client side as a serverpack? Is this the first time they've done that by mistake?
I already have the world running, but what I will do is check those chunks again on the world zip backup on a fresh server when the Modpack does update to see if it may have been related to instable world backup, never know a computer can make a mistake too 💀
I'm assuming if it ran once apart from maybe chunks being moved around it should be fine like If anyone seen anyone who has else successfully booted a world and had it start crashing later?
That message came so broken 💀
microsoft boasts about vibe coding 30% windows. yeah, they are stupid enough to screw something up
They broke my computer, because they can't handle the fact I hate their pathetic ai enough to disable it
Thanks! It's fixed!
LMFAOOO yeah I've vibe coded my entire website I know how bad it can be checking to make sure at least what you can see works 💀
What in the world is GraalVM 💀 so many versions of java I've never heard of this one 💀😂
Asking hazel just don't wanna ping admin for small reasons 💀
Ahhh ok, so if I'm using a dedicated setup in the future I should use it
mhm
LMAOO
u can use it client side too
Anyone that has perks is considered a admin in my server
In terms of how I was gonna do it, I was gonna have managers that are able to do more then admins
Then again I just hired a bunch of admins cause I was tired of being messaged all day long 💀 my server actually reached 16 concurrent at one point so I'm probably one of the top performing BMC5 servers, I've had to upgrade to a 9950x just to support it 💀
The funny thing is the server can tell me the chunks in wrong spot 😂
might wanna xnay the ip
Word commonly used in my region LUL
💀😂 mean remove?
mhm
Either way key take way Failed to load Chunk: Chunk found in invalid location
Imma assume this world should still work on new server pack when it's released
Mostly looks to be a mix of invalid location and unknown structures
I let my users know that if that is an issue related to this and it's broken too much we'll have it rolled back as soon as the update comes out
yo, maybe this is a dumb question but are there supposed to be cod and salmon on the BMC4 oceans ?
I can only find tropical fish :(
(I can spawn them with cod buckets)
Hey, I have another question:
I built a villager farm on my server,
with fields of carrots, beds, 2 villagers, enough light, a composter, no mobs nearby and within my claim, but I have the feeling that my villagers aren't harvesting or planting any carrots.
They have accepted the composter job.
I've also already set "/gamerule mobgriefing true".
Does anyone know what the problem is?
i got many of the fishes on fishing with a rod ;D
I also could, but I wanted to make an aquarium
do they have a chest ?
another player killed swimming fishes in a lake, so i think it should there ;D
imma look harded, slippery fish
a chest? iv build this farm on many servers, but i dont need a on the other servers O.o chest O.o
I was asking because if they have a chest they may be putting the carrots there
wish I could help more but i never really messed with villagers farms much :(
ah, no theres no chest accessible for the farmer ^^
okay, maybe can another one help more ^^
but thanks anywhere ;D
hey guys is the video setting crash still there ? :((
Oh wow coulda told me that 💀
Only joking 😂
hotfix was released for the issue update to that
4
then no whistles arent a thing in the dragon mod in 4
What issue was fixed with dragon whistles hazel? I do have a issue where my users dragons despawn, I respawnes the despawned ones just for them to disappear again leaving exactly the same ones behind in the spot
nice
Also one despawned and whistle was stuck had to give user admin to have that fixed
dif modpack
Ohhk
idrk i dont play bmc5 or dev in any way im pretty sure most issues reported abt it are issues w the dragons remastered mod itself n not the pack
I see, so as far as your aware there no entity limiter or anything that could cause that?

Are you familiar with Docker and how the compose file should look?
thank you!

I just tried playing the latest update and for some reason sprinting locked my controls, and I could only move while holding click or ctrl or some combination of buttons, otherwise all controls except esc were stuck
it'd be a pc issue or from what you added
I am NOT using anything besides client graphical mods I have been using since v46
This is the first time this has happened
It worked 1000000% fine before the update
I can type and everything fine in discord but for some reason my controls locked up in game and then crashed
Worked fine for every update before

graalvm is the problem? Isn't that the version of java you recommended?
tf is textinputframework.dll anyway
the issue is in the Faulting module path
it's from windows itself

there is a nvidia update idk
I don't think there are gonna be more windows 10 updates tho
I'll test some things out. Thanks for narrowing it down
Why I can't click anything in neoforge bmc5 v43.5? I use macbook.
how did you install
I use the default modpack installation in prism launcher.
what chip does ur mac have is it an m series
m3 pro
For Mac devices using Apple Silicon/arm (M1/M2/etc.) CPUs that don't work with ATLauncher
Certain modpacks might crash if used in Curseforge or ATLauncher. In those cases you should download and install PrismLauncher.
Installing modpack
Click "Add Instance", select "Curseforge", then filter the modpack you want to play. Select it and click on "OK".
Blocked mods
In some cases PrismLauncher is unable to download blocked mods. Click "Open Missing" to downloads then in a browser, into a folder listed under "Watched Folders" (or add a new location of your choosing). Once done - review if the list has all mods marked with green checkbox.
Installing Java
Before you launch the game click on your instance, click "Edit", go to Settings, Java, click on "Download Java". Select Azul Zulu, Java 21, 21.0.7. Once installed, click on "Auto-detect..." and select the Azul one you just downloaded. Make sure to also check "Skip Java compatibility checks".
Moving existing world from Curseforge app
To transfer your Curseforge world to PrismLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Folder" on PrismLauncher and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
i think its like 21.0.9 available on options for azul now but i keep being lazy to update that
Everyone that joins my world has insanely high ping, any ideas?
It's fine in v42
I restarted the server world after updating to 43 and was immediately met by so many things I haven't seen before like what in the world is the bastion towers LMAO
You won't believe what the issue was lmao... It was Windows IME changing the keyboard language in the background because it uses ctrl+space and shift+space as hotkeys to toggle languages, so it kept opening text windows behind minecraft and trying to type in other languages. That's why I couldn't move... 😭
After figuring that out and turning off Windows IME, it works fine now. Sorry about that
