Experiencing an Exit Code 1 error whenever I try to launch this mod pack. It's working on my daughter's machine but not mine. Any help is appreciated!
Have checked my BIOS and Java are updated and have uninstalled and reinstalled the pack a few times. Computer plays Vanilla and other mods fine.
Installed latest version through CurseForge, so MC 1.20.1, Better MC v41. Have not modded the pack at all. Have never gotten it to successfully launch without crashing.
It gets to the red Forge loading screen and then craps out.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.

To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

I'm in Minecraft 1.20.1 using this CurseForge modpack + added mods: GiDWzY4-. The modpack is Better MC [Forge] v41. No matter how I try to upload the mods to DatHost, (zip, individual, modpack + individual) it constantly crashes. The only time it succesfully went through is when it deleted 19 of the 421 mods, one being Minecraft comes alive, which is pretty important to me to have. As soon as i go into single player, i crash when server has mod files in it. When server is reset w/ no mods i can create a single world. Server won't even properly connect and is now stuck in a conmstant booting state.

Hey team, I've built a Better MC BMC5 Forge server and installed it through curseforge and bisecthosting with no changes, server launches all good but it looks like the accessories aren't available? is this a known issue is there something extra I need to do?

yeah they make essential unusable on purpose so you have to use bisect hosting (which is a partner of lunapixel). literally if you remove all lunapixel mods and files (which mind you don't add any content), you can use essential just fine.

tho if you want to use essential you should probably just rebuild the modpack from scratch because lunapixel has a ton of random files of their own hidden in the modpack folders which will make your game crash if you try to host a world on essential

can't guarantee this works with all modpacks, but we scoured through BMC5 with a few friends, and besides the luna bloat, there's also two different versions of the same mod (don't remember the name rn), a lot of outdated resource packs, and outdated versions of some mods, so yeah

BMC5 also has two mods that don't work with each other properly (backpacked and the gravestone mod), so when you die, you get a duplicate of your worn backpack with all the same stuff inside

I don't know if this wasn't tested or they just didn't bother finding a better mod or what, because they've had backpack mods on earlier versions of BMC that worked fine

Having some trouble signing into ATLauncher. Everything says it's good to go on Microsoft's end, but AT throws an error in the console and stays stuck on "add an account" on reboot

When I joined back the server after, it seems that most of my inventory stuff are there but some progress such as killing pigs and chopping wood, the items disappeared. Also, I collected potato, apples from barrels found in this village and it shows it in my chest but when I open the barrel, the items seem to be there as if I never took it out. What seems to be the problem?

Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

There is an issue with Java 17.0.8 and newer where you may experience "A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment", which can cause the Java runtime to crash under a variety of circumstances. To resolve this:

1. Go here and hover over the Download buttons until you see one with the option to install a .dmg file. If you have an M-series Mac, then make sure to install the ARM64 version of this file.

3. Disconnect the server, and wait for like 30s
4. Rejoin the server, and see if it still has the same bug (I expect it does, since we didn’t do anything)
5. Upload the latest.log with the above activity

I want to see if it shows any error while you do stuff, or between your logoff/login

Transferring Your World

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide.

Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.

If lag persists, run the following command ingame:
/spark profiler start --only-ticks-over 50

Fix for ticking entity or ticking blocks crashes

Navigate to your instance folder:

• Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
• ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
• MultiMC -> Select your instance and click „Instance Folder” on the right.
• PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
• For servers -> Open the folder containing your server files.

Inside that location, if you’re single player you can find your world folder inside „saves” (for example „saves/New World”), if it’s a dedicated server - just look for folder named „world”.

• Forge -> Look for the „serverconfig” folder. Inside you need to edit the „forge-server.toml” file.
• NeoForge -> Look for the „config” folder. Inside you need to edit the „neoforge-server.toml” file.

Fix

In that file, change the value for both „removeErroringEntities” and „removeErroringTileEntities” from „false” to „true”, and save the file, then start your game.

Once fixed - remember to undo those values back to „false”.

Seems like the server cannot bind the connection. It’s either due to:

• the port being in use by a different minecraft server running on that machine (or other software using the same port)

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.

4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

I tested the teleport stone in a single player world at a distance of 200 squares and it worked when I put a settler in a boat. But on a server set up by a friend when I do the same, but at a distance of 25,000 squares it doesn't work, just like when I try to teleport a settler from arther

That's a general rule of thumb for any modpack period, mods are on certain versions for a reason, if you just update them all then you risk stuff being on incompatible versions or even updating to versions that are unstable and have problems. For example if you update mods on a modpack that has Create, you update to version 0.6 while tons of addons are not updated to that version of Create yet you're gonna run into problems

Transferring Your World

If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with.
