I found the solution!! It's very weird and totally crazy, but somehow it works. It turns out that fish spawn when there are at least 2 players online on the server. The problem I had happened when I was playing alone. Now I'm with a friend and out of nowhere, like magic, the fish came back. We did a test with her alone on the server to find out if it was just me who was having the problem and the result was that the error also occurred with her alone.

And it only seems to affect creatures recognized as "fish". This includes those from vanilla Minecraft and the Alex's Mobs mod. However, whales, orcas, seals and the rest of the land animals from the same mod do spawn even if there is only 1 player

I don't know why it works like this. I don't know code and stuff like that. But the important thing is that we already know how to fix it. If anyone else had a similar problem, here's my solution

Hi Guys, I'm finding my iron farm keeps stopping when I move more than 50 odd block away. Things I've tried

1. Upping render and simulation distance
2. Upping Entity Distance
3. Toggle entity culling
4. Disable / edit max entity distance
5. Forceload iron farm chunk
6. Editing doespotatotick

No luck so far. Would love the farm and entities to behave as in vanilla where I dont have to AFK at the farm for it to work, it still operates when I'm at the base. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

To better assist with fixing an issue, we will need some logs: Curseforge/GDLauncher-> Right click the modpack instance -> Open Folder. For MultiMC -> Click 'Instance Folder' on the right.
Find the file 'Latest' in the 'Logs' folder. If there is a folder called 'Crash Reports' then find the newest file from today. Upload these as requested.

Just s quick tip for anyone playing with Chipped mod, if you try to place any type of glass that is created from Chipped mod above any type of crops, it will not be considered as a glass above the crop and it will not grow faster as Serene Seasons mod suggest. So stick to the vanilla glass while building your farms. I learned this the hard way.

I'm using 1.20.1 and running it from CurseForge. And I did change the vein miner mod, but nothing else. I'm using version 34.5 of the modpack. And no matter what I tried, I couldn't get past the crash. I am currently at the end and using the shaders provided with a render distance of 32. And it appears that when I try to get closer to some structures and my render distance loads in chunks, I crash.

Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

yo, just bought a laptop n downloaded bmc4 instead of studyin w/e. keyboard seemed to have bugs like "sticky keys" with movement wsad space lalt shift and lctrl. It was unplayable so i restarted n nothing changed. Then, I downloaded normal latest version of mc unmodded and everything was fine (also not fps or keyboard in laptop are the issues, i tried changing conflicted movement keys and it doesnt seem to change) any ideas?

i rejoined the server for that question, never had any issues with bmc4 except free server sharing but thats the past since i was buyin it

   The server was working flawlessly this entire time, i turned it off for a bit and when i wanted to turn it back on again it wouldnt get past whats shown in the first and second image

6. More Context:
   I have 15GB of RAM allocated to the server so i dont believe its a ram issue, there is a line that says it is running on a dedicated server with its own IP but i am using my own IP and portforwarding. I tried to delete the entire server but keep the world, when i tried open a new server with a fresh save world it worked fine, but then when i add the world it doesnt work and gets stuck on the same part. I've read some fixes that would require me deleting specific files but i didnt wanna do smth silly and ruin everything lol. Also back to the fresh install of the server, i did not add the new mods to the new Server Folder, i just added the world. too much yapping i feel its smth silly lol Thank you anyways

It is highly advised to not use Optifine, as it is very glitchy, will increase loading times to upwards of 10 minutes, and will decrease your FPS substantially. All Luna Pixel Studios modpacks come with shader support without Optifine via Oculus on Forge and Iris on Fabric. Optifine is also incompatible with all of our modpacks. The game will not launch with Optifine installed.

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

I noticed my memory keeps building up instead of being garbage collected when I keep leaving and joining singleplayer worlds over and over again, this happens when I entered through nether portal too and maybe other portals, but I haven't tested yet, and it was pretty hard to replicate, turning on/off shader repeatedly also does this too nvm it came back to normal after a bit. This result in lag spike every 3 seconds or so when there isn't more memory to allocate, the only way to fix this is relaunching the modpack again.

I use BMC4 v34.5, tested with new installation, with Mukul1127's GraalVM parameters and his G1GC parameters, with allocated memory of 6049mb, launcher is atlauncher, and GraalVM version is graalvm-jdk-21.0.5+9.1.

hey so i'm trying to install bmc4 on a new computer and I usually add a few more mods to the pack including travelers backpack and the essential mod yet when I load into the pack it now gives me a warning and does not let me keep going, is there a way around this?

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. It also has several other issues, and we just have something that stops broken mods from destroying your game.

Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

I built it and put the afk platform over 80 scaffolds, which put it in range of a terra cotta sky temple. Do i have to go into it and torch all of the mob spawners or just relocate the farm?

I think that is what is messing up your creeper farm then. So you would have to either spawn proof the sky temple or rebuild the farm. Idk if you know or not but in this modpack you have to put torches on all sides of the spawners to make them stop spawning mobs

I've always just copied my world save before any update, and then paste it back in after.

That way in the case the world is messed up for any reason. You still have the backup and you can revert to the old version of the mod.

Hi there, I'm enjoying BMC4 so far but I'm in the Aether currently and I'm finding that the ambient music never plays. There is functional boss music and other sounds work, but specifically the ambient music is just not playing at all. Ambient music for the overworld and other dimensions all play just fine. Is this a known issue with the Aether mod?

the mod just doesn't work with another mod.

Not every mod fits with every other mod. Modders can't make that happen

that's why compatibility layers like Fabric and Forge can't be on the same client
