If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

They have a tendancy to change mods depending on version, because some mods might be updated, some abandoned, some new on the block... so it's hard to actually say

Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

we've got ~6 of us who've spun up a new server using various third party launchers- Prism, ATL, etc. None of us have music; not even the music player object works. I've heard no-music bug reported a few times in tthis channel before abutt it's confusing becuase it doesn't seem to be a known issue. I assumed it was and just something to do with beta but.. seems like a big issue to not be mentioned in FAQ or known-issues.

4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

curseforge launcher
crashes occured on 30.5 and 32.5
currently using 32.5, but as said above 30.5 also crashed
i played on a server as well as solo a few weeks ago with no issues, as of yesterday trying to play again it crashes every 10-15 minutes.
yesterday i was flying on a dragon and opened the map and both times it crashed (on 30.5). today i was walking through a safe haven, wasnt doing anything, and crashed (on 32.5)

Have you ever gotten past the crash condition without crashing, or does the game always crash? Always crash
What steps cause the crash? It will load the start screen, i create the world, and then it crashes. ETA: it doesn't even load the start screen from ATLauncher

Additionally, I'm on an Apple M1 Pro (which is why I was trying ATLauncher).

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. Hi @viral garden, I'm currently trying to play Better MC (forge) 1.20.1 on the CurseForge Luncher and everything runs smoothly until I go to create my world. I press the button "Create New World" and shortly after it crashes and it pops up with Exit Code 6? (this has happened every time) I haven't changed the modpack in any way either. Note, I also tried the Fabric Version of 1.20.1 and I came up with the same issue. How do I fix this?

Have you ever gotten past the crash condition without crashing, or does the game always crash?
What steps cause the crash?

Required:

Open the game directory (right click pack -> open folder), navigate to the "crash-reports" folder and upload the latest available crash report.
If there is no crash report, navigate to the logs folder and upload "latest.log."
If there is no log, navigate to the base pack directory and upload the hs_err_pid file, if there is one.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

The issue is mainly that a lot of the mods in BMC are third party and those maintainers/creators haven’t updated their mods to work with NeoForge or 1.21 (OR the dependencies of those mods which have breaking changes in 1.21) - so they have to idk wait for them. And there are a lot of those. A LOT still only supported up to 1.20.x

That’s why I don’t really understand why 5 is “beta”. It’s not possible to full steam ahead and It’s not as if it is remotely near ready… it’s a crippled shadow of what the last major version was. Truly. And so it is not hard to imagine the incentives of the extremely early publication are primarily for the developers rather than the players. BMC5 is like an auxiliary task in porting all things Luna to NeoForge I think. BMC5 exists primarily because it wouldn’t make sense to continue maintaining BMC4 with the “deprecated” Forge loader (unfortunate timing on that)

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

Hello guys, I'm playing on Better MC BMC5 (neoforge) v6.5 for mc v1.21.1, amazing mod by the way!

Logs file say that OpenAL initialized correctly and on the correct device but ambient music does not play, other sounds work fine do (haven't tried jukebox for now), does anybody have find a fix for this problem? I saw multiple persons having this issue and zero response.

What is the problem prompt when you try to connect? Have you double check the version of the server / client? For both check the manifest.json file

P.S: Also check if the server run without issue in the log and that he is available in the game server list, if you are using a tierce service for running it check also that he use modapi-modversion-installer.jar and not the default server.jar

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

Trying to set up a dedicated Linux BMC5 server for my friends. Here's what I did:

Downloaded latest NeoForge server and installed. Server runs.
Downloaded BMC5 6.5 Server Pack (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/better-mc-neoforge-bmc5/files/5764077) and installed.
Used PrismLauncher to install the 6.5 client (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/better-mc-neoforge-bmc5/files/5764062). Client runs fine in SP.

When connecting, though, I get this error:

Required:

Open the game directory (right click pack -> open folder), navigate to the "crash-reports" folder and upload the latest available crash report.
If there is no crash report, navigate to the logs folder and upload "latest.log."
If there is no log, navigate to the base pack directory and upload the hs_err_pid file, if there is one.

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. To learn more about alternatives to the Essential mod, check out this website.

Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

Questions about Dragon Mounts: Legacy in Better MC 4:

Can you change the species of dragon of an egg that already has an assigned species? Like can you change an Aether Dragon Egg to a Ghost Dragon Egg?
Is firebreathing broken/removed? Cant figure out how to do it.
How do I heal my dragon? Is there a simpler or more efficient method than splash potions of healing?

pretty sure you can heal dragons with raw meat in bmc4 32.5

you can convert eggs but it's a bit finicky sometimes, I had some issues. And I don't think firebreathing is in legacy, I think it's in a newer version.
