so if a structure is crazy rare, the compass still might not find it

Hey, hoping for some help. I had a locally-hosted BMC4_Forge_1.20.1_v26 server hosted for my son and I to play on. Have played it for months and we love it. Tonight I tried updating the server to 1.20.1_v30.5, "thought" I had updated all my settings correctly, but when I try to connect I get the error "Failed to connect to the server. Connection refused: no further information".

I updated my client to 30.5 via the curseforge launcher.

I updated my server.properties with correct ip:port, and the world does show up in my client. But when I click Join Server, I get the error mentioned above. Not sure what else to check.

If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. it gives a heavy gravity effect. doesn't make you have slowness or anything, but instead of floating down with a normal elytra, you fall down faster. so the running + jumping does not work with it.
